I'm glad she trusts me and I hope she will continue when she finds out where I have led her. The bustling of the traffic made her tense up as we came through a portal at a local bus stop near my place on Ogore Thelea.

I felt Z's hand tighten on me as she moves her head around trying to decipher what was going on.

"Cass, Are we really where I think we are? "she asked, looking around curiously. As I had taken off her blindfold.

"Depends on where you think we are love". I said looking down at her. Trying to take in every expression she had the minute she could see everything.

Z looked at me with a deadpan expression.

"Yes Z, we are in my world, welcome to Ogore Thelea." I said giving in to answer her question.

"So why are we he-", I didn't give her a chance to finish talking as I took her hand and quickly teleported us into my apartment. Once we reached my apartment entrance I opened the door and entered. I looked back to see Z looking at me with Confusion and Shock.

" Why are you standing out there looking like a stray, come in". She looked at me with a pissed look on her face as she came in. I ensured the door was locked and looked around to see Z looking at me with an impatient expression.

"Explain". she said as she folded her hands.

"I think I have powers", I said looking directly into her eyes.

" Yeah no shit", she stopped to think then answered. "But how is that possible? You have the broken gene."

I took her hand and sat her down on the couch. "We kissed and it was the best kiss I have ever felt. It literally felt like something out of this world, and little did I know that it was."

"What do you mean, Francis?, you aren't making any sense". She looked even more impatient. She stood up and walked around then sat back down and took a deep breath.

"Woman, if you keep interrupting me, how will I finish? "I stopped to take a deep breath then continued." Anyways, as I said our kiss was more than just a kiss, it was the ingredient I needed to activate my gene, my 'broken gene'. Well it activated Queen's Faeryn gene which activated mine and everyone on Ogore Thelea. So yes our kiss was literally magical. "

Z looked at me with a 'are you serious expression'. Then cleared her throat.

"So let me get this straight, we kissed and it somehow ignited something so powerful that your broken gene is now miraculously fixed and you and everyone here somehow have powers, Francis did you hit your head when you went under the water?" I reached forward and I grabbed her shoulder and shook her slightly then locked my eyes with hers. "Lyra look at me can't you feel the connection between us, I know you know we are soulmates because I saw the realization in your eyes at the river.

You didn't feel that strong connection before because my gene was dormant and now it isn't anymore and not to mention I went into the water and literally came out looking like a different person. You can't tell me you don't believe."

Z looked at me for a minute then her gaze softened. " I can feel the connection between us, I know we are soulmates but I still don't understand how it happened. What was so special about us that it made your genes activate when we kissed."

"We are destined to be together and our souls knew that it was time for us to finally know."

" Wait, you said our kiss activated the Queen's power as in Queen Faeryn, Queen's Eudoxia's sister. Holy crap, that's crazy."

"Wait till you hear that I spoke to her", I said smiling.

After Z finished smiling she looked at me suspiciously.

" Spit it out", I said before she could say anything.

" So you have powers now......."

"And?......"

"And you obviously have teleportation so what others do you have, surely that can't be it", she asked excitedly. And this was weird because this was the first time I was seeing Z excited. This really was a new experience for me. "

I smiled mischievously, I opened my mouth but closed it as I was about to tell her. "Maybe one day I'll show you."

Z was left dumbfounded. "You did not just say that. Wow, so you went under the water and not only did you come out with looks and powers but you came out with an attitude. Fine don't tell me".

"Just repeating what you told me love".

" Yes I told you that because you had to leave, you're telling me that to tease me".

I looked at her in awe, I really could not believe that she was mine. Her eyes were the most beautiful shade of blue and as cliche as it sounds, because of her, blue was now my favorite color from the first moment I saw her. Now she was truly mine. It's funny how much my life worked out for the better.

"Hello, Ogore Thelea to Francis?" Z snapped her fingers at me.

"Sorry babe, I was daydreaming about how beautiful you are".

"So are you going to give me a tour of your world or what?".

I smirked, when I saw her blushing slightly, trying to change the subject. "Hmm, a tour, I can do that, how about O.F.C, I'm starving."

" O.F what?"

I teleported us outside of O.F C behind a tree, I looked around and luckily no one was outside so I grabbed Z's hand and pulled her into the building. Luckily it wasn't full so we got in the line only for me to realize that I didn't have any money.

"Z stay in the line I left the money I'll be right back. "

"Can't you bring me back with you?"

"No you have to hold the line, you'll be fine, Z I'm not gonna be gone for 2 minutes".

She looked unsure but she eventually nodded her head. I was a bit reluctant to leave her but I knew she could take care of herself. If anything I was the one that needed protecting.

I went outside and looked around to ensure no one was looking then opened a portal to my apartment. I breathed a sigh of relief once I reached. I haven't gotten any time to wrap my head around the fact that I'm now a changed person. I have powers now, powers that could end worlds and I don't trust myself to show Z. Yes it may seem like I have my powers under control but rest assured they are not. I'm barely holding on. I just feel like too much just has been dumped on me in such a little time, and not to mention I haven't spoken to Kyle yet.

This is just too much, I thought. I just had to get out of there. Now I'm here with my soulmate and I don't know how I'm supposed to tell her about what's about to happen.

I hurriedly grabbed my wallet and teleported back to O.F.C. I was outside about to go in when I saw a crowd gathered around something. I ran inside and pushed my way through only to see Z beating the crap out of a guy.

I quickly pulled her off the man. "Lyra what the hell are you doing?"

Z looked between me and the man she was beating that now had a bleeding nose. "Isn't it obvious?"

"Don't get smart with me. I put up that shield over you so people wouldn't freak out when they see you. I left you for a second and you just had to get yourself into some problem right?". I whispered.

Z's eyes went from defensive to angry.

"Look here, wait a minute, you don't ever, and ever talk to me like that again. I'm not your child and I'm not your girlfriend so remember your place. You came bargaining here without a thought that maybe I'm fighting for a reason. You rather make your assumptions because you're never wrong, right?".

"You're right, I'm sorry. Just grab the food and let's go."

Z took the food from the cashier and I gave her the money and we left in silence. We went behind the tree and I opened a portal and we left. Once we were inside I put down the food on a table and shared it with the both of us. We both sat and ate in silence once more.

Z took a bite from a chicken leg and her eyes opened wide in excitement. "Mhmm, oh my gosh", she moaned. "What kind of food is this?"

I choked on a piece of fry and laughed at her. "It's a chicken, they fry it and you eat it with ketchup and fries which are fried potatoes. "

"It's absolutely amazing," she said.

"I know", I laughed.

" It really is, we have tasty food in our world but nothing that tastes like this, in my world the food tastes like anything you would want it to be, like it's customized with every person and every bite. This seems like it's totally the opposite " .

I zoned out as I thought about how I acted before and after a moment I looked at her, "Z I'm sorry about earlier, I shouldn't have assumed you did something wrong. I forgot how many idiots are in my world.

I knew that pervert was trying to flirt with you. She looked at me for a moment then told me she forgave me. I pulled my chair closer to her and held her face. "Thank you princess", I told her softly.

"You're welcome".

I really took my time to soak in her presence. This was the first time I had truly looked at her so closely and I noticed a small beauty spot just below her eyes, I gently rubbed my thump over it, she then closed her eyes and leaned her head into my hands. . I slid my fingers down to her lips and stroked them as well.

They were delicate and sensitive to the touch. "Z", I said. My voice had become raspy, and I was fighting the impulse to kiss those lips of hers. "Hmm," she replied, her eyes still closed. "Look at me". After a second her eyelashes slowly fluttered open. She looked at me and I looked at her. We didn't have to say anything, it was obvious. She desired me as much as I desired her.

Butterflies that I didn't know existed started fluttering in my stomach. I didn't want to do anything if she wasn't okay with it but I got my confirmation when she started bringing her face closer to mine. Our lips touched and it was even better than the first time.
