Hey guys! How's life going? 

I just wanted to thank everyone who has taken the time to read through this huge rant that's somehow a story about everybody's favourite clones and Jedi! I didn't think that anyone would actually read it at first, bit I guess you have! 😀

Also I want to apologise for the lack of updates - I'm finding it hard to write the next chapter plus there's the matter of passing a load of exams in May and learning a load of stuff I'm never going to use in real life. So hopefully there will be a random update or two at some point. 

Now, about Vader's useful troopers....

Recently I was digging through some old  Legends content and I came across the Dark Trooper project.

"The Dark Troopers were advanced  infantry that featured heavy plating that resembled the armour  of a stormtrooper, powerful weapons, and for increased flexibility and tactical advantage.

Besides the prototypes, they came in three versions: the Phase 1 was a skeletal armed simply with a and physical shield, primarily a testbed for the later stages; the Phase 2 , which featured, in addition, the external elements; and the , which was the main unit and was never fully developed. Only three Phase III prototypes were on board . One of these was used by the originator of the project. It was a more powerful variant of the Phase II model and was able to be worn as a battle exosuit."

(For some reason these droids remind me of the Bad Batch. Phase I could be Tech, Phase II could be Hunter and Phase III could be Wrecker. 

The prototypes, also known as Phase Zero caught my attention.

"The Phase Zero were created in the early years of the to deal with a shortage of experienced  troopers. The program was overseen by  Lt. Rom Moc and was based on Empirical, a hidden space station in the . He called the program the Dark Trooper Phase Zero.

To return aged veterans of the to peak condition, their limbs and organs were removed and replaced with using much of the same technology used to transform into a cyborg . In some cases, over 70% of a clone's body was replaced. With their years of combat experience and cybernetic enhancements, the units that did make it onto the field were undeniably effective.

However, as the poor clones were forcibly recruited into the project, many Phase Zero Dark Troopers could not cope with the state of being more machine than man and attempted suicide. The project was eventually shut down as the Empire grew in power and the recruitment rate of non-clones rose. Although the project was shut down, it was eventually succeeded by the Dark Trooper Project, also headed by Rom Mohc, who had become a General."

Let's just say I'm glad this isn't canon anymore and I have another excuse to hate the Empire.
