Issac's Home

The bell rang, singling the end of lunch. I got up from the table, and I was about to walk away when Issac stopped me.

"Wait!," he said.

I turned around, and looked at him. My eyebrows knit together in confusion.

"What?," I asked.

"Do you want to come to my house after school?," Issac said.

An abundance of questions rushed into my mind: why did he want me to come to his house? Was I going to meet his parents? Would his parents like me?

"Am I going to meet your parents?," I asked him.

"No, they're out of town. You'll meet my little brother Tommy and my cousin Liv, though. Oh, and you'll also meet Liv's fiancé Ivan," Issac said, making it seem like no big deal that I'll meet THREE people!

"Issac, I'm not ready to meet THREE people from your family yet! Do you think they'll like me?," I asked, my voice full of worry.

I wasn't really worrying about being liked, though. I was worrying about whether they were going to stare at my Trach or not. Would they be nice to me? Would they treat me any differently because I had a Trach? My mind was full of nervous questions.

"I'm sure they'll like you, Jessica. You're a really likable person," he said, smiling.

"You don't get it, Issac. What I'm really worrying about right now is if they're going to stare at my Trach," I said, bitting my lip nervously.

"That's what you call the thing on your neck! I've been wanting to ask you about that, but I didn't want to seem rude," he said. "I'm sure they won't stare. Did I stare at you the first time I saw you?," he asked, trying to prove a point.

"Actually, yes...you did stare at me," I said, my lips curving into a smile. "But it wasn't because of my Trach. It was because you thought I was beautiful."

He grinned. "I didn't just think you were beautiful. I knew you were beautiful."

Then, he caressed my face with his hands, leaned his forehead against mine, and he kissed me ever so softly. A shiver went up my spine, and I felt butterflies in my stomach.

His lips spilt apart from mine.

"Now, will you please come to my house after school?," he begged me.

"Fine, I'll come," I said.

-----------------------------

As soon as we walked into Issac's house, a little boy with blond hair and green eyes ran up to Issac and jumped into his arms.

"Hey Tommy! How're ya dozing buddy?," Issac said while ruffling Tommy's hair.

Tommy gave a little thumbs up.

"Tommy, meet Jessica. Jessica, meet Tommy," he said while having Tommy face me.

Tommy looked at me with adorable wide green eyes. I knew he was staring at me, but I didn't care. He was just a little kid, after all.

"Hey Tommy, nice to meet you!," I said while smiling at the adorable green eyed little boy.

Tommy hid his face in his big brother's arms.

"Sorry, he's really shy," Issac said, still ruffling his little brother's hair.

Then, a man with brown hair, blue eyes, and a metal leg walked over to us. When he saw me, his lips curved into a wide smile.

"It looks like you finally have a girlfriend!," he teased Issac. He triumphantly slapped Issac on the back.

"I'm not his girlfriend," I said awkwardly.

Issac turned around and looked at me with a confused expression on his face. His eyebrows knit together.

"So, we're just friends who kissed each other like five times?," Issac asked me.

"Three times, to be exact. Plus, we hadn't really made it official," I said while crossing my arms.

The brown haired man laughed.

"Awww look at you two getting in your first fight," he teased.

Issac rolled his eyes. "Shut up."

That only made the brown haired man laugh even more.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't properly introduce myself. I'm Ivan," he said, raising his arm up so I could shake his hand.

"I'm Jessica. Nice to meet you," I said while shaking his hand. "Issac told me that you were here with your fiancée Liv. Where is she?"

"Oh, she's upstairs in the shower," Ivan said, letting go of my hand.

A beautiful woman with wet blonde hair and green eyes walked down the staircase.

"Hi, I'm Liv. And you are?," she asked me.

"I'm Jessica. Nice to meet you," I said.

"Nice to meet you too," Liv said. Then, she wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tightly. I've never felt more welcome in someone's home in my life.

"I see you've met my fiancé," Liv said smiling. She turned towards Ivan and kissed him softly.

Ivan started kissing her back, running his hands through her wet blonde hair and down her back.

Issac and I stood there awkwardly. Tommy covered his eyes with his hands.

"Um.....we're still here, you know," Issac said.

Liv and Ivan broke away from the kiss. Ivan kissed Liv on her forehead.

"I love you," he whispered to her.

"I love you too," Liv said. She was grinning from ear to ear.

Ivan grinned as well.

"Uhh..:.Jessica and I are gonna go to my room while you two have your romantic love fest," Issac said, putting Tommy back on the ground.

Issac lead me up the wooden staircase, down a hallway, and into a medium sized room with navy blue walls. In the corner of the room there was a bed with navy blue sheets and pillows. Near the bed, there was a dark blue closet.

On the other side of the room, there was a white desk with a laptop on it. There was a light blue chair beside the desk.

"Let me guess. Your favorite color is blue?," I asked Issac, seeing that most of the furniture in his room was blue.

"Yep," he said. "I just love the color so much."

"I can tell!," I laughed, looking around the blue room.

We walked into the room, and I walked over to his bed. I sat down on it, feeling the soft blanket beneath me. His bed was cozy. Issac walked over and sat down beside me.

"I've been wanting to ask you this for a while now, but I didn't know if it was rude to ask. Why do you have that...um....what do you call the thing on your neck again?," he asked, eyes full of curiosity.

"It's called a Trach," I said, smiling at his forgetfulness. "When I was born, I couldn't breathe properly. My lungs weren't good at being lungs, and my heart beat way too fast. That's why I got a Trach inserted into my neck by doctors when I was two months old. It helps me breathe."

Issac's beautiful blue eyes widened. He stared at me with wonder.

"If the doctors didn't put that Trach into your neck, would you have died?," he asked me, his eyes still widened.

"Well....yeah. I probably would have died," I said, looking at the blue hue of his eyes.

"Wow," he breathed.

"What?" I asked him.

"You're kind of a miracle," he said, his lips curving upward.

I grinned from ear to ear.

Issac leaned in close to me, putting his forehead against mine. Our breathes mingled, and we looked into each other's eyes. I was mesmerized by the blue hue of his eyes. His eyes were the most beautiful thing in the world to me.

Then, I closed the space between us. I kissed him softly, slowly. Issac returned the kiss, kissing me harder and running his hands through my brown hair. His hands touched my face softly, as if I was a fragile doll he didn't dare want to break. I wrapped my arms around his neck, leaning into him and making him fall backwards onto the bed.

His lips left mine, and we were both panting heavily. We've never kissed like that before. We never have had a kiss so passionate, so precious. I had never felt this way about a boy before. I could feel my heart thumping in my chest. Issac did funny things to my heart.

"Liv?," Issac asked, his beautiful big blue eyes starring into mine.

"What?," I asked, smiling.

"Will you be my girlfriend?." he asked.

I stared at him with disbelief. Not once had I heard a boy asking me that before. This boy never failed to make me feel amazing. This boy never failed to make me feel special.

"Yes," I said, my eyes sparkling with joy as a smile spread across my face.
