I woke up to my phone buzzing. I rubbed my eyes and looked for my phone. I found it and read the contact name. "Who is it?" asked grace, who was still half asleep. "Jack. I won't answer it." I decided. I declined the call, only to find a series of notifications. "7 missed calls, 3 voice mails, and 9 unread messages.... All from Jack." I read aloud. Katie sat up. "let's hear 'em." she yawned, following with a smile. I swiped across the voicemails. I selected the first one. 

-in the voicemails-

"Y/n? I'm sorry about last night. Please forgive me. I don't want things to be weird between us. It meant nothing." (click)

"look Y/n I'm really am sorry. I was drunk and stupid. Please call me back." (click)

"Y/n, please, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. please, come back to the dorm and we can talk. I'm sorry..." (click)

-out of voicemails-

Tears burned my eyes. "Damn. He sounded like he really meant it." Katie said. I sniffed. "why are you crying?" grace asked me. "I don't know. I just feel so... I don't know... I guess I feel bad for him." I said. Katie rubbed my back for comfort. "are we still gonna make him jealous?" grace asked. I chuckled. "No." I laughed through my tears. "We can still go shopping though!" Katie said, clapping her hands together in excitement. I nodded. "I just need to stop at the dorm." I said, grabbing my things. "I'll meet you guys back here okay?" I said, pulling on my shoes. "Okay." they said in sync.

                I ran back to my dorm, stopping at the door. I walked in. I guess Jack left it unlocked in case I came back. "Jack?" I said, into the room. I turned around to take off my shoes, but was startled by someone wrapping their arms around me tightly. "y/n! I'm so sorry! Please forgive me! I was a dick!" Jack said, resting his head in the crook of me neck. I sighed and pulled away from Jack's embrace. "you're right, It was a dick move. I'm just here to get ready. I'm going shopping with some friends. I can't forgive you right now. I just need to cool off a bit." I snapped. Jack's face turned red from embarrassment. I pushed past him and started picking out some clothes. Jack stood there in, somewhat of a, shock. I ignored him and grabbed my clothes. I walked into the bathroom, slamming the door behind me. I changed into my outfit and did my makeup. I brushed my hair and walked out of the bathroom. 

              I grabbed my bag. I reached for the door knob, but stopped. I turned, hand still on the knob, looking at Jack. He was sitting on the bed, starring at the floor, with a slight frown. I frowned seeing him like that. I sighed and walked back to Katie's dorm. 

              I solemnly knocked on the door. Katie opened the door. "come on! let's go shopping!" Katie shouted, grabbing my hand, and pulling me down the hall. I chuckled at her excitement. "Wait up!" Grace shouted from behind. She caught up and walked with us. 

              I browsed through the dress section. I stumbled upon a stunning white dress. It was a strapless, knee length dress, with silver rhinestones in the shape of snow flakes leading upwards from the knees. It was my size too! I grabbed it and search for Katie and Grace. I finally found them looking at shoes. "guys! look at this dress!" I said showing it to them. "wow!" said Katie. "That's amazing!" exclaimed Grace. "I'm gonna try It on!" I said, walking, almost running, to the changing rooms. 

              I walked into a 'stall' and locked the door. I stripped off my regular clothes and pulled the dress over my head. I zipped up the back and looked at myself in the mirror. I smiled at the beautiful white dress. 

              I opened the door to show Katie and Grace. "you look so pretty!" said Katie. "ohmygosh!" Grace almost shouted. I twirled in the sparkling gown. I looked in the large mirror. "just snap my neck now to I can die this pretty." I sighed. Katie and Grace laughed. 

              "ok. tell me home much it costs. On a scale of maybe to never ever ever." I said. Katie looked at the price tag. She sighed. "never, ever, ever, ever, ever,EVER,... times infinity..." she said. My heart sunk. I sighed. "that's ok. We can still take pictures for Instagram!" I said trying to lighten the mood a bit. "Yeah! hang on! let us go get dresses too!" Grace said. 

             They soon ran back and into stalls to get dressed. Three minutes later, Katie stepped out of the stall in the same dress I was wearing but only hers was gold. Grace soon followed. Hers was the same as mine and Katie's but black. We posed and snapped pictures in front of the mirror.

             After we had a few pictures we changed back to our normal clothes and put back the dresses. We walked through the mall, finally stopping at Starbucks. I waited in line to get our drinks, while Katie and Grace sat at a table. I was next in line. "what can I get you Miss?" said  the girl behind the counter. "Um can I have a peppermint latte, a vanilla bean latte, and a black coffee with no sugar or cream?" I listed off our orders. "coming right up." She said. I walked to  the end of the counter to pay. 

             I looked over to Grace and Katie. They were looking at me with a concerned expression. I gave them a questioning look as if to ask what's wrong. Katie tilted her head, gesturing behind me.  I turned around to see Jack standing behind me, staring down at his phone. I looked back at Katie with a scared face, mouthing the words- "what do I do?" she hurriedly thought of something. "talk to him." she mouthed back. "y/n?" the barista called my name. Jack looked up when he heard it. "that's me." I said. I grabbed the coffee. "that'll be 7.94 miss." he said. "It's on me." Jack said from behind me. I turned to look at Jack. He set a ten dollar bill on the counter. "enjoy your coffee ma'am" said the barista. "Thanks." I said. "thanks for paying." I said as a I walked away. 

         I set the coffee on the table in front of Katie and Grace. I walked away to go get some napkins. I felt someone grab my arm. I looked to see Jack. I scoffed. "leave me alone, Jack." I jerked away my arm. "y/n, wait. Please" Jack said. "Leave. Me. Alone." I said, raising my voice slightly. "I don't want to talk to you right now." I said. "I'll see you later." I said, calming down slightly. I went back to Katie and Grace. "Sorry." I said, taking a sip of my plain coffee. I looked back, over my shoulder at Jack as he walked out. I sighed. "You're gonna have to forgive him sometime." Grace said. "I know. I will tonight. I can't keep staying with you." I chuckled. I sipped my coffee, Thinking about what I should do.
