Chapter 44: Thanksgiving Spectacular
**Kota**
🎵Ring....ring....ring...ring...🎵
"Hey, this is Sang. Sorry I couldn't answer your call. Please leave a message at the beep."
🎵Beep.🎵*Click*
I hang up the phone without leaving a message. Sang's been MIA all week. Silas said that she was with him, North, and Owen for a bit yesterday, but then she got a phone call and took off. Didn't even tell them where she was going. This isn't like her...
"She didn't answer?" Victor asks me as I stare down at my phone.
"Nope."
"Any idea what she could be doing?"
"Maybe she's just busy." Nathan inserts.
This is the first weekend in a while we've all had nothing to do, so naturally we all wanted to spend time with Sang. If she would pick up her phone that is. The three of us were lounging in our room when we decided to see if Sang would be free for brunch. Now that midterms are over, we can all breathe a little easier, at least until finals week.
"She's been busy all week." I comment.
"That could've been because of midterms."
"No, she wasn't too worried about midterms the week before." Victor inserts.
"She's been running around like a chicken with her head cut off." I tell Nathan.
"Well at least you guys get to see her in class. Think about how difficult it is for me, Gabe, and Silas. None of us have classes with her. At least you guys are guaranteed to see her during the week."
"Yeah, there is that." Victor murmurs.
"At least we'll see her tonight." I concede.
"Yeah, attendance for the Thanksgiving Spectacular is mandatory for all school organizations and affiliates." Nathan reminds us.
"I wonder what time she's going." I muse aloud. "Maybe we can catch her before she leaves."
"We could probably ask Kayli." Victor suggests.
"Or get Marc or Corey to ask her." Nathan grunts.
"They lost the bet remember?" I ask Nate. "They can't talk to her."
"Oh, they're talking to her alright." Victor chuckles.
"What did I miss?" I question.
"I was hanging out in Corey's room yesterday, when Kayli came down in a rage." He laughs. "She demanded to know why they thought it would be ok to make that kind of bet. Marc and Corey defended that since they weren't there when the bet was made, they couldn't be held accountable for Raven's stupidity. They didn't even find out about it until after Raven lost. Kayli let them off with a warning, but told them that if they ever even thought about doing something like that again, they'd end up worse than Brandon."
"What'd she do to Brandon?" Nate laughs.
"Apparently she left him in a very hard situation," He laughs through his explanation. "And told him that he should get used to the feeling for the next 2 weeks."
"Ha! That's priceless." Nate laughs.
"Well according to Kayli, that was nothing compared to what she's going to do to Raven." Victor laughs.
"Aww man, that's rough." I shake my head.
We laugh at the absurdity of the situation for a little while longer before I sober up, trying to get back to the start of the conversation.
"Ok, ok. So, who's gonna ask her?"
"I'm not going anywhere near that chick." Nate grunts.
"She is Sang's roommate." Victor argues. "We're going to have to deal with her eventually."
"The way I see it, if they aren't close anymore, we don't have to deal with her." Nathan counters.
"Let's just see if we can find out when she's going." I intercede.
They agree, and I unlock my phone to dial Marc's number. I really hope they can tell us something, because none of us want to go and ask Kayli when she might still be on a rampage.
**Gabriel**
Why the fuck do I always get stuck doing setup!? Oh yeah, that's right, because I'm a fucking genius and these losers would be lost without me.
"No! Higher on the left!" I shout to the guy on the ladder for the third time!
I should be getting paid for this.
"Gabriel? The show is starting in an hour. The students will be showing up for their final run through soon." Dr. Roberts tells me in my earpiece. "Is the stage ready yet?"
"Just about. We just need to get the lighting right." I tell him. "There! Right there, don't move it!"
"Good." He chuckles. "Now go get ready for the show."
"Will do Doctor Roberts."
I hand off the headset to the AV guy and grab my stuff from the chair I set it on earlier. Time to go get fabulous. Pshh, who am I kidding, I always look great. I wonder if we'll see Trouble tonight.
I head off to my dorm with thoughts of Trouble kisses.
******************
Ugh, this show is such a dud! These acts are going so slow! And I don't even have my Trouble to keep me occupied. Thankfully the dancers are up next, hopefully I'll be able to keep my eyes open.
"Next up, Your Desire!"
"Hey, isn't that Jackie and Samantha's group?" I ask Kota.
"I think so." He responds.
The lights go down on the stage before the dancer walk out. When the lights come back up, they're turned with their backs to us. They all have on blue jeans with black crop tops and high pony tails. In the back row there's a girl with blonde hair, whose body looks very familiar. When they turn around as the music to "Shower"comes on, I almost jump right out of my seat, and I'm sure my brothers are having the same reaction.
"Holy shit! That's Trouble."
"What's Sang Baby doing up there with them!?" North shouts.
"Well it looks like she's dancing." Sean replies with the biggest grin known to man.
And what do you know, he's actually right. Sang is up there twisting and shaking right on beat with the rest of them. In fact, she looks better than most of them. But I might be bias.
"Is this what she's been doing all week?" Luke asks with the same look that he gets when he's thinking about chocolate.
"If so, then I approve." Nate says with the same grin as Doc.
"Holy shit. Trouble can dance."

(So, this isn't exactly what I had in mind, but close enough. "Your Desire" dances to the entire song, which is how I have Sang ending in a split. PS: I have Sang as the one in the crop top.)
We all sit mesmerized as we watch our girl up there showing up every other dancer on the stage. When the routine is over, their ending pose has Trouble in the front in a split, with her head turned and one hand in the air with the other in the air. The whole crowd gives the group a standing ovation, and the look of pure joy on Troubles face when she gets out of the split to take a bow is amazing. You can tell she really had fun up there. If this is what she was bailing on us all week for, then I'm sure as shit glad that she did.
**Axel**
Wow, who knew Sang could move like that. I know right about now the Blackbourne team is either waiting to get their hands on her, or waiting to curse out any guy who even breathes in her direction. I'm glad Kayli wasn't up there. I'm not sure I could have kept Raven and Brandon in their seats. They would've dragged her off the stage, no matter how mad she is with us. Actually, I'm surprised they managed to keep North in his seat. His temper is legendary, almost as bad as Raven's. It's the main reason they're always butting heads.
The next few dance groups that go up aren't anything special. They have nice music, but the dancers aren't as in sync as the first group. I haven't seen Kayli yet. Attendance was mandatory for all orgs and affliliates so I'm not sure where she could be. A part of me thought that she might be in the show like the other recruits we saw in there today, but she hasn't been spotted, and I Know there's no way she's in this magic act that's coming up. What if she didn't make the second challenge.
Apparently I spoke too soon, because standing up on the stage with some scrawny wanna be magician, in a skin tight leotard and black mask, is none other than Kayli.
"Is that Kayli?" Marc asks.
"What the hell is she doing up there?" Brandon screams.
Kayli flinches on the stage, making me think she heard Brandon's little outburst. Halfway through their act, the guy puts his hands on Kayli's waist and all hell breaks loose. Brandon and Raven are making a beeline for the stage before the rest of us can even comprehend that this guy had the audacity to put his hands on our girl. By the time Corey, Marc and I make it to the stage door, Raven is walking out of the back exit with Kayli over his shoulder, cursing the big Russian out. If we weren't in the dog house before, we definitely are now. This should be good.
**Sang**
Seeing Raven throw Kayli over his shoulder and leave the auditorium makes me glad that none of my guys did that to me. I'd be completely embarrassed! Even more than I was going out on that stage and shaking my butt in front of the whole school. Oh God! How are the boys going to react? I know that they were out there, the whole school was!
Turns out that I don't have to wait long, because as I'm talking with Lake backstage, the sounds of my boys excited voices come around the corner.
"Sang Baby, what the hell were you doing up there?" North asks as he scoops me up into a Silas worthy hug.
"I was dancing North Star." I answer him. "Did you not like it?"
"Fuck no Trouble, we loved it!" Gabriel answers instead.
"Yeah Peanut, you were amazing out there." Nathan tells me.
"Really?" I ask them once North puts me back down.
"Absolutely." Lucian tells me.
"You were amazing Aggele Mou." Silas says.
"Phenomenal Sang." Owen tells me.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, she was good." Samantha says from behind me. I turn around and see her and Jackie standing behind us with their arms crossed and scowls on their faces. Still can't figure out what I did to them. "Sang, we've come to cash in our favor."
"What favor." Kota asks them.
"The one Sang owes us for letting her leave practice early on Thursday." Jackie tells them.
"Sang, you didn't tell me that you'd owe them a favor for going out with me for my birthday." Gabriel says with a frown.
"It's ok Meanie, it was your birthday. Besides, we had a good time. So what's the favor?" I ask the girls.
"Nothing much. Just don't get in our way for the next few minutes." Samantha tells me.
"Um, ok?" I say confused.
I guess that's enough confirmation for them, because once I'm away from North, Samantha walks up to him and asks him out. Jackie walks over to Lucian and does the same thing. It takes everything in me, and Victor's arm around my waist, not to say something, or do something to stop them. How can they think that this is ok!?
Before the insecurities can set in, both Lucian and North turn them down. The looks on their faces are priceless as they stomp over to me.
"This is all your fault!" Jackie screeches.
"What did you tell them about us?" Samantha accuses?
"Nothing." I say innocently. "I didn't even know you were interested in them."
"Liar!" Jackie screams.
"You know what, it doesn't matter." Samantha says as she regains her composure. "There's no way you're getting in. Not if I have anything to say about it. Let's go Jackie."
As they storm away, my eyes are blown wide at their accusation.
"Did you know they were into them?" I whisper to Victor.
"Everyone in the Academy knows, Princess." He tells me.
"Yeah, they practically stalk them." Nathan tells me.
"That's creepy." I say with a frown.
"I'll say." Lucian says with a shiver.
"How about we go out to celebrate?" Sean suggests.
"Celebrate what?" I ask him.
"You being freed from those witches evil clutches, and back with us." He tells me with a grin.
"Where you belong." Owen adds.
"Ok."I say with a smile. "But can I change first?"
