AN// NEW STORY!! I'm sorry, I'm writing to many at one time but I've technically finished writing two of them and I got this idea and I really wanted to write it so here goes nothing!! Hope you love it! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LULU!! I love you so much!! I wonder if Luhan and Sehun somehow told each other happy birthday or not? I hope so^.^ HUNHAN love!

Chapter 1:

Why is everyone's so obsessed with social rankings? They don't really matter honestly, it's not like saying 'I was the most popular kid in school' is going to get you a job. It will just make you look stupid that's what it will do.

I am popular, but not for being the class clown or for dating half the school, but for being smart.. And bullied.

But new college, new year, and of course there will be new people to make fun of me but I couldn't care less. I'm getting great grades and that's all I'm worried about...

"And this is your dorm room." The preppy girl tells me as we finally come to the end of this long tour.

"Thanks for showing me around." I smile.

"You're welcome, classes start next week on Wednesday at eight so get some rest before then." She smiles before I excuse myself to go unpack my things.

I hate planes, it's not how long the flight is but how high up we are, and how many crashes there've been.

I get in and find one side of the room a total mess and the other spotless. Thank god it's not messy.

I walk in and set my bags on my bed before peeking my head in the bathroom and find no one here.

"God, he's a pig." I mumble as I open the closet and find the dresser drawers overflowing with clothes that are being forced to fit inside.

I'll have to tell him to make space for my things later because I do not want to touch those clothes. They don't all seem clean..

I shove one of my bags under my bed knowing I won't be needing anything in it anytime soon and set the other on my bed.

There are a few things I take out of my bags like my laptop, my earphones, and a few other small gadgets I made but put those in my nightstand so I don't look like that big of a nerd.

I get on my bed and put a pillow behind my back as lean against the head board and I turn my laptop on.

I plug my headphones into my phone before playing my music while I finish the work I was previously doing back home.

My research is interrupted by a small box piping up on my screen.

I hit yes as I pull my earphones out to greet my friend.

"Luhan! How was the flight?!" He chirps as he pushes his small thin framed glasses up on his face.

"Long, I just got here and of course the other guy is a pig." I groan making him laugh.

"I knew he would, I told you he would!" He says like it's the greatest thing in the world. "So, what's he like?"

"I haven't met him yet, but his side is all messed up." I sigh in disappointment.

"It's going to be weird being without you this year. It's the first time in, what, sixteen years, that we aren't going to the same school?" He chuckles.

"Yeah, it's weird being down here, it's the end of summer and it's raining outside." I chuckle as I sit back.

"Really? It's boiling over here." He complains as he fans himself with his hand. 

"I bet, have you and Lay finished the game upgrade?" I ask him, referring to how the makers of Minecraft asked them two to help update the game, lucky bastards.

"No, not yet, they're still telling us what they want us to program and fix in it. We are making a lot of dough if you know what I'm sayin'." He says as he wiggles his eyebrows quickly, gloating that I wasn't asked to help.

"Shut up, I have better things to do than fix a kids game." I huff as I cross my arms over my chest.

"Like..?" He smirks making me roll my eyes.

"I was actually working on some very important research before you oh-so-rudely interrupted it. Thank you very much." I say.

"Which is?"

"I'm not telling you until I finish it, I want it to be a surprise." I smile as I think about it.

"Oh, your 'top secret' project you've hid from me for ever.. I'm beginning to doubt that you really are working on something, Lulu." He says, making me roll my eyes.

"I don't need to take this from someone who is helping someone else program a game, do some real science then you can rub it in my face. But until then you can't talk crap, so goodbye." I say making him chuckle.

"Bye, Lu." He says as he smiles and waves before the screen goes back to my research.

I get back to work as I slowly find myself falling asleep.

I stare at the screen, unable to process what I was writing before I look up and see someone walking in. I yelp softly before covering my mouth with my hand and shut my lap top.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you." The man chuckles as I stand up.

The man has dark brown short hair and a cute button nose. He has a soft smile on his pink lips and has flawless, pale, skin. His face shape is nice, his chin sharp, and his eyes are very unique with nice curve.

"Oh, it's fine, I was zoned out." I laugh awkwardly as he shuts the door.

"I'm Xiumin, did you just move in here?" He smiles as he holds his hand out for me to shake.

"Yeah, I just got here." He seems relatively nice.

"Yeah? Where'd you come from?" He asks.

"I went to the United States for college with a few friends and now I'm back." I say before he gives me a 'oh' look.

"That's cool, don't mind me either, I just came to pick up." He chuckles as he slowly begins picking up the trash and throws it into a bag. Thank the lord.

"Um, you don't possibly know where the cafeteria is?" I ask as I pull my shoes on.

"Yeah! Sure! I was gonna go down there soon anyways, I can show you and we can eat together!" He smiles as his eyes light up. "No ones here yet and I always end up getting here first so I never have anyone to eat with." He says as he hurries to get the rest of the trash in the bag.

He ties the bag before throwing it over his shoulder and looks over at me.

"Ready?" He smiles.

"Yeah." I smile as I shove my wallet and phone into my pocket.

"So what school did you come from?" He asks as we walk out of the dorms before he throws the bag in a trash can.

"Massachusetts Institute of Technology." I say making him gasp slightly.

"Really? Why'd you come here?" He questions with wide eyes making me chuckle.

"I was working on a project and finished writing the equations and everything I needed was here so I came back." I smile.

"Really? Can I ask what it is?"

"Well, it's still a secret." I awkwardly chuckle.

"Oh, so what are you majoring in?" He asks, changing the subject.

"Engineering Physics." I say and he nods with a slightly surprised look.

"I could not handle those classes." He chuckles. "Is this your first year?" He asks.

"No, um, it's my third, but I skipped a year in high school." I explain.

"Wow, you must really be dumbing it down for me." He laughs, I think I got a pretty cool roommate.

"What classes are you taking?"

"Um, electrodynamics, thermodynamics, international issues, and BMEN 3440." I smile even though I don't think he knows what the are.

"Wow." I all he can seem to come up with.

We talk more while we get our food and go sit down at one of the many empty tables in the large white cafeteria.

"There's about seven more of us I think, some will be coming tomorrow and over the next few days. They're all really cool, but yeah, I'm a law major." He chuckles.

"That's a good major." I say as I take a bite of kimchi.

The food is fine, it's not the best, it's like they had it saved in a freezer and just unthawed it and served it. Maybe it's just because there aren't many students here yet so they aren't going to waste new supply's only to put the leftovers with the rest of the frozen foods.

"Their food is usually a lot better than this, it's probably because the good cooks aren't supposed to be back until next week when school starts." He chuckles as we throw our trash away and stack the trays on top of the others.

"Well, I need to get back to my dorm, we should hang out tomorrow!" He says, confusing me slightly.

"Aren't you my roommate?" I ask with a chuckle.

"Oh, no! No, some of my friends trashed that place the other day and I went to clean it before your roommate got back and killed us. Yeah, your roommate, I don't think will be back for a couple more days." He says making me mentally sigh.

I was looking forward to sharing a room with him, he seemed nice.

"Oh, okay. It was nice meeting you, Xiumin." I smile.

"You too.. I don't think I caught you name." He chuckles. I forgot to tell him, whoops.

"Oh, it's Lu Han." I smile.

"Well it was nice to meet you too, Luhan." He waves before going to opposite way.
