Battler's Bloopers 2
Shadow: Blue nods at Hexice, and says, "By the way, wooden man, do you even have Google? Or a phone?"
Hexice: "Google? Phone? Oh, right. The human stuff that Ryan has. I need not of such mundane items. And for your information, I am not wood. Porcelain if anything."
Shadow: Blue nods. "Oh yes. You don't have access to the Library of Dinosaurs?" I ask. "I think you might-" Blue steps on my toe. "He does not need the Book of Knowledge, you idiot!" I pull my toe free. Blue's stubbornness when it comes to enemies is really nit convenient. "Well if he has it, he'll dust it," I tell her grumpily. "Porcelain people do not care for valuable books!" Blue says as if it's obvious. "Really. You only just learned that," I point out. "The Book of Knowledge is something many people seek. He'll protect it."
"The Book of Knowledge," I explain, "is a compilation of all of the world's mysteries."
Hexice: Hexice groans. "Gross. You are talking like my brother. I'm quite glad that he's not here. He lives in a labyrinth of a library. Yet, he doesn't read a single book. All the books he has and does nothing with them. And he rarely leaves that place either." Hexice rolled his eyes. "What's that phrase? 'Bookworms?'"
Shadow: I nod. "Yes, that's it precisely." Blue rolls her eyes. "I'm leaving now." I pat her. "Okay then."
"I am not really a bookworm either, but when I need some magic things, I borrow it. It's useful … and collects dust."
Hexice: "Magic… What kind of magic do you use, or rather, world uses?"
Shadow: "Any spells really, but the favorites are invisibility. I like divination. Although not many others do," I say.
Hexice: "Oh. Invisibility. My sister's dog loves chasing the unseen. At first, I thought that the dog had gone mad, but after my brother showed the invisible being through his Oculli, I was impressed of the dog."
"How do your prayers go?"
Shadow: "Yes, one of my friends is a bacon-loving ghost dog."
Haeji walks around trying to find one of her friends. "Hello? Guys?" I say as I walk into an alleyway. As soon as I step in, a giant hand grabs me and throws me into a brick wall, making me cough out blood instantly.
Shadow: I see it since I'm about to lurk in that alleyway too and automatically sink my teeth into the hand.
Take 2
Shadow: Okay, I have some riddles!
Five Apples
Five apples are in the basket. How do you divide them among five girls so that each girl gets an apple, but one apple remains in the basket?
And if you're feeling up to it…
Don't Think Too Long
How many cats are in a small room if in each of the four corners a cat is sitting, and opposite each cat the sit 3 cats, and at each cat's tail a cat is sitting?
I'd love to hear your answers…
Okay, I'm going to be eating hands now.
Haeji: Five apples: give the last apple to one of the girls on the basket.
Hexice: Cats: 4. 3 cats sit opposite to the perspective of 1 cat. And they are sitting on their own tail.
Shadow: Correct! Both of you!
Haeji: I fall unconscious after getting thrown at a wall.
Shadow: I'd only seen a blur, but it's enough for me to investigate.
Scene 2
Astrid: I walk around warily, absolutely terrified at the amount of people around me. "Am I supposed to be here?" I mumble, glancing around nervously. A living, breathing four legged reptilian thing caught my eyes, and I froze. What in god's name is that???? I thought.
Faim: "That depends. Are you going to fight in the match?" I looked at the girl's horrified face as she stood still, looking at a dinosaur. "Wait… weren't dinosaurs supposed to be extinct?" I ask. Then to my right, I see a scaly, reptilian looking man. "You, snake man! Are you going to fight in the tournament?" I asked him, for some reason, he turned stiff. Weird.
Mewmi: "Faim! The Tryouts need one more fighter for the exhibition match. C'mon!" I urge him to leave the hall.
Faim: "Not now Mewmi, I wanna know who will be my opponent." Faim says to me. "They will announce the first match in a half hour." I say to him. "How do you know that?" He asked. "Adrian told me." I answered him. "One of the judges?" He asked, I rolled my eyes. "Yes! Now let's go!" I yank his arm, using some of my strength while I drag him out of the hall.
Astrid: I watched who I now know as Faim and Mewmi exit the hall, leaving me to my own devices. I should probably follow them. Should I follow them? I mean, that Faim guy mentioned something about a match, and I'm supposed to be in a match. I drew my own conclusions in my head, before straightening my purple beanie. Follow the duo it is.
Shadow: I flick my head towards them and then back, darting across the room.
The Indoraptors
Shadow: I gotta say,
am shy around other humans. Well, they are puny, but when there's so many of them it reminds me of the day that we broke out of our cages. A good memory, yeah, but Ripper's injuries are not.
Suzanne: Hi you guys I want your hands!
Ripper: Please share?
Suzanne: You don't get any hands until you brush your teeth.
Ripper: NOOOOOOOOOO
Indy: I get your hands!
Blue: I want hands tooooo!
Indy: Nah!
Blue: Boo! I want HAAAANDS. Please thank you.
Shadow: You absolutely do not want hands Blue, you are just grumpy. And furthermore, you always try and scribble emojis in my drawings. The ones that don't fit. So no hands for you.
Suzanne: Seem I told you Blue, emojis don't go anywhere. Especially if you scribble on my drawings. And furthermore, if you continue, I'll challenge you to a drawing contest. You will lose because you are not good.
Suzanne laughs evilly.
Suzanne: I can't wait!
Indy: By the way Suzanne, your turtle drawing is bad.
Blue: DRAMA! I need popcorn!
Shadow: You do not. The drama is over.
Astrid: I watched as the Dinosaurs babbled amongst themselves. Should I try to talk to them?
Shadow: I nudge the rest. "Guys. Form up. None of you are getting hands." I see Astrid's glance, and also my sulky friends. "Until you be nice and introduce yourself and strangle a few contestants to clear up the field." Astrid looks alarmed and I hastily add, "Just kidding of course." Hmm, maybe I should strangle some.
Blue: I. Need. Hands.
Indy: Truth or dare, Blue?
Blue: Dare.
Indy: Good. I dare you to shut up for fifteen minutes.
Blue: But Indy, it's not fair ….
Ripper: is too.
Blue: Is not!
Suzanne: Look, Blue, Indy dared you to shut up for fifteen minutes and you should do it! Fifteen minutes start now, by the way.
Blue: Huhhhh …. my fate is unfortunate ….
Shadow: VERY GOOD! Sheesh. What is it with her? Sooo now that Blue is quiet, everything is quiet. Thank you for putting up with her.
Blue: I'M BACK!
Ripper: Nooooo ….
Blue: Where are my haaaaands?
Ripper: Ummmm … what do I say uhhh …. I am not good at this ….oh, they're …. I hid them really well like, like, what are those again? Meester eggs? like those colored things!
Indy: Yesyesyesyesyes! Easter eggs! Yes!
Blue: Oooh …. complicated. I'll go look and find all of them!
Shadow: Yesssss …. finally Blue is off our hands - hang on no Blue, I mean MY hands - and she won't find any so I've got time without her.
That is the end of today's segment of the The Indoraptors.
Micah Arganism: I text my colleague when I saw her leave the stage that was near the arena, taking notes. [Stella, where are you going?] I sent her the text. I had no response until Stella decided to text back. [I'm looking for a human with a 10ft wind up doll and a poverty stricken child.]
[Are they missing?] I asked her. [Not sure, that's what I'm trying to find out.] Stella replied to the text I sent.
[Who is looking for them?] I asked her. [The deity that gave me the card reading.] Stella texted.
[You ditzy alien farm girl! They are probably one of the contestants! Look for them backstage.] I sent the text. Seriously, of thousands of space cadets of the I.B.I. They lump me with scatterbrained zygote.
Scene 3
Shadow: I lick my teeth idly and dictate orders. "Suzanne, put up the poles. Ripper, get the human skin. Blue, the nails."
Haeji tapped Shadow's shoulder, "what are you doing?"
Shadow: Surprised, I jerk around. "N-nothing, just setting up the tent," I manage to say. While Haeji stares at me, I tell the rest, "Inday, get the case ready. Ripper, the Crystal, please. Suzanne, Blue, get the sleeping bags and set the tent up." I quickly begin to wash my claws, not like they're dirty - I washed them five minutes ago. I figure that it makes me look innocent, though I'm not sure about it, since Haeji's eyes linger on the black leather suitcase Ripper's bringing in and the obsidian show-case set up in the middle of the huge, T-Rex-sized tent. It's not technically a showcase, since instead of glass it's got opaque metal, so that nobody can see the contents. "We're building a tent," I add. "To sleep in."
Haeji: "Hmm ok. I'm gonna check out Ryan then."
Ryan: Ryan peered into the sea of people. Felin stuck close to him, grasping his shirt from behind. Breloq followed close. His beady eyes scanned the place.
"Thinking of it," Ryan started, "If this place came out of nowhere, then how did Patricia or any of the receptionists get their jobs so fast? Or this Colosseum built?" Breloq shrugged. "Maybe the time runs differently," Felin stated. "Like how Breloq's world to your home world."
"That does make sense… I think," Ryan said tilting his head.
Haeji walked up to Ryan. "Hey Ryan, what's happening?" She looked up to Breloq. "So where's my book?"
Breloq pinches the corner of the book from the back of his pant pocket and pulls it out. He unzips his mouth and speaks, "Oh, was it not a present?" Ryan slaps Breloq's metal calf, making a slight ring.
"Honestly, I don't have a clue," states Ryan. "I was pretty much dragged into this… mostly by Breloq. He kinda just signed us up for the fight without our discussion. He has something in mind but he won't talk."
Shadow: When we've finished up the tent, we put a mysterious lump covered with black cloth into the showcase and lock it. Blue tucks herself into her sleeping bag and closes the flaps of the human-skin tent. I hand her a lantern just before she does it, and a sack of fresh hands. It's not that she needs it now, those are just supplies for tonight. Indy will go get fresh drinking water. "By the way," I tell Ripper, "I'm keeping a diary."
"You idiot," he says scornfully. "Only girls keep diaries."
"I expected that," I counter. "I am a girl anyway." Here's a bit of Shadow's diary.
Hello Diary,
Today I spent time in human form. It makes the humans less nervous, though I think I like it when humans are nervous because then their hands smell better.
Not like I'll take them from contestants.
- Shadow
In human form she has long black hair in a ponytail, red eyes and wears, and wears a sleek black shirt along with dark red pants.
Haeji: "So I guess the battles aren't happening yet, so you wanna start a fire or spar?" Puts sticks into a pyramid and lights a match. "So have you heard of the giant that has been going around here lately?"
Diary Entry 2
Hi! I'm back while Haeji is talking to Ryan. The Crystal is finally secure! You know, the Knowledge Crystal. Haeji didn't suspect a thing!
-Shadow
Ryan: "Ugh," Ryan groaned. "I'd rather do neither. The last fight I had was with fire that almost consumed the entire world. My world at that…"
Stella Spacey: I walk up to the backstage of the stadium and I find a tent made out of skin, I squint at the color and texture of the skin. "Is that human skin?" I whisper, "Weren't the humans an endangered species?" The only human I met during my internship was Helen. Her home planet got polluted with garbage and gas emissions, no matter how many environmental protests and nature reserves her race opened and implemented, it led to natural disasters and exile from an old spaceship that belonged to an abandoned space station. She said it was called NASA or something like that.
Hexice: Hexice's spade eye glares at Patricia. It glows black as her futures materialize within his mind, futures where she dies, many of which she dies…, and from a few, everyone within the Colosseum. He clicks his tongue at such fates. "Your stare says something differently from the cards," Patricia says.
"Not exactly… more like what happens after the cards," he replies.
"And what is that?" Hexice stays silent for a moment thinking of the complications that may occur if he is to tell her. "You seem to be born with misfortune. And that misfortune draws in others with the same fate. I reckon that whatever you have in store for the people of the Colosseum, you abandon such thoughts." His eyebrows furrow as he takes one more glance at her.
No change in the future… How unsightly…
Patricia grinds her teeth behind her closed mouth. After a quick smirk she speaks, "Then, I suppose everyone here has that fate too… including you." Hexice gives her a smile as a response.
Ryan: Ryan's head turns to Stella as he had heard her. Walking up to her, he asks, "What do you mean 'endangered'? If anything, all other species were endangered due to the pollution."
Shadow: I sit near the tent and preen my back feathers. I open my journal again (the pages are made from pressed human skin).
Entry 3
Humans are not endangered, well at least I don't think so. The traitor is endangered, though, because imma hang their hands at the top of our tent.
-Shadow
Inside the tent there is two jugs, one of blood and the other of lemonade. There's also a plate of steak sandwiches, and they're on a table of bones. I slip my journal under my sleeping bag again and enjoy sunning.
Ryan: Ryan pauses for a moment, shocked at the news. Then, he scratched his head, and says, "Wait, are we talking about the same Earth? I mean the things you said sound similar but seems really off as well."
Haeji: "Oh, I guess I'll just do a sketch then." Pulls out a sketchbook.
Shadow: I hear Ryan and calmly say, "Yes, that's the Earth. I get a shipload of humans each year from the Earth."
"The humans are for eating."
Diary Entry
This is really big. I never knew how big this Colosseum was from first sight! Apparently, three Viking longboats can fit there.
I have no idea what a longboat is.
Probably a human thing.
Oh, a shipload of humans are coming soon! Yessss!
It will be uncomfortable eating them in the Colosseum though.
I'll figure something out.
-Shadow
Note by Blue
It's so easy to hack into Shadow's computer. I think I'll hack her Wattpad first though.
-Blue
Ryan: Breloq steps in and unzips his mouth. "Considering that we were teleported to an unknown realm that suddenly appeared out of nowhere, the Earths you two come from are only similar by appearance. Perhaps, there are from a parallel universe or different time. If the latter, Stella seems to be from the future."
Shadow: I sniff. "The future? When the humans resurrected us they said that was the future." I pause. "Then I ate them," I added. Blue confirmed with a nod. "So … that doesn't make sense, but then the humans are terrible at telling time, so I might be from the past and Stella from the future."
Diary Entry 2
I'm confuserated.
Breloq says I'm from the past but I don't think that's correct. Stella looks like she's from the past - she doesn't have the most advanced iPhone!
Oh well.
I could be from the past.
But then again, I knew I should not have eaten those humans who Resurrected us raptors.
They gave me indigestion.
-Shadow
Note from Blue
I wanted to hack Shadow's account but I won't because she'll probably tape something embarrassing on my tail or something. Maybe put a banana peel in my bed and then I can't prove it. Unlucky for me, since I wanted to get back at her for being nice to Hexice and now I can't because she'll have a right to prank me. Since when do raptor need rules?
-Blue
Blue decided she wants to do a diary, but won't update often. Here's an example though.
Blue's Diary 1
Isn't it simply the rudest? Hexice always goes where his friends can see him, so I can't shoot a fireball at him to kill that dumb porcelain man.
Oh wait, maybe I can crack him like a teacup.
But since I don't update often, it'd be nice for me to expand on my situation. The Colosseum is stressful at the least and right up there with hectic at most.
Patricia is suspicious.
I'll sneak rat poison to her in a few days.
Haeji, well, I can't really tell.
Ratu is … ugh, he just keeps out of the way and it's infuriating to have to circumvent half of the competitors and all of the spectators to just note his position. So does that mean he is suspicious?
