Wishing for the End

Barry watched. He saw Cisco's smile, heard Caitlin's laugh, and wished that he could join them. Wishing that he could be the cause of smiles, of joy, of happiness, but no.

That was impossible.

He knew he wasn't wanted, so he never tried.

He just watched from afar, trying to remember the good times.

...

He got the alert, but he didn't want to go. He would have to get a beating, both physically and mentally. Cisco would make sure of that. Lately, he had started to receive a beatings. He never thought Cisco would hit that level, but Barry couldn't blame him. It was like saying he had never tried to punch Zoom.

But still. Lately, Iris and Joe have said they needed space, Caitlin has been giving him the death glare, and Cisco just overall hates him. Not to mention the Legends and Team Arrow. (Note: that was in reference to Invasion, the crossover. Also, in this version, Len never joined the Legends)

He was alone, and he deserved it.

...

He ran to the scene to find a meta looking around, almost as if she was waiting for someone.

He realized who she was looking for a little late.

As soon as she saw him, she charged him. He tried to run, but she still touched him. Suddenly, he saw his Mother's face, screaming in agony. "Reverse," cough, "Flash," he said.

He watched as nightmares played out.

...

When it was over, he looked around to see that he was alone. He could feel the tears slid down his cheeks, and all he could feel was shame. He had failed yet again. What good was he?

Maybe Cisco was right. Maybe he was just a selfish, worthless bastard who got lucky.

...

He ran back to STAR Labs to see Cisco pointedly sitting in the MedBay, and Caitlin completely ignoring him. He made eye contact with Cisco only to see him turn away. He walked over to Caitlin and she blocked his view of her screen.

He felt tears in his eyes. He wasn't welcome here anymore.

So he ran away. Just like he always did.

...

When he arrived, he walked right to the edge, closer than he'd ever come. He couldn't handle it anymore. He didn't want to be a burden anymore, didn't want to be unwanted anymore. He wanted to have someone who actually acknowledged his existence.

So, he stayed up all night. He couldn't end it, he wasn't a coward, but he could forget. So, he decided to stay up all night working on a way to get blackout drunk.

...

After work next day, (It was pretty uneventful. Joe didn't talk to him, Iris ignored him, and there wasn't anything memorable) he went to the only bar he knew of; Saints and Sinners.

When he walked in, he was greeted by some quiet murmurs, but no one actually said anything, to which he was grateful.

Sadly, he saw Snart staring at him through the corner of his eye. Ugh. He would deal with him when he was less sober.

...

When Len saw Barry walk in, he was shocked. Barry never went to bars, let alone ones that he knew had criminals in it.

Something was up, but he would question him later...

For now, Len was just going to enjoy this beer and stare at Barry...

...

Barry could feel eyes on him, but he didn't even care if he ended up in the arms of a women... or a man.

He chugged his serum, and was about to chug the beer to activate it when the bartender walked over. "Hey, Pretty," he said. Barry waved. "Hey," Barry responded. The bartender, or Sam (According to his name tag) looked at Barry, almost like he was calculating something. "Anyone who plans to drink that much must want to make something go away," he said, gesturing to the line of beers Barry had lined up. He had a plan; buy all the beers he was going to drink, pay for them, and have the bartender cut him off. Simple, but likely going to go wrong.

"Wait until I'm no longer sober before asking questions," Barry replied quietly. Sam nodded and walked away.

Then Snart walked over. "Hey, Barry," he said, sliding into the seat next to him. Barry quickly chugged the rest of his beer, and the line. Snart looked at him with an expression that said, Really? Barry was definitely drunk at this point, so he just pointed and laughed. Snart just rolled his eyes.

"Let's take you home," he said with a smile.

Sadly, he didn't know two things about a drunk Barry. One, he was a crier. Two, he still had his powers.

He was screwed to begin with.

...

Barry wanted to go to everywhere except home. And Len couldn't get him to say an address, so he figured he'd just bring him to a safe house. And he would have, except for the fact that Barry kept running Len everywhere he possibly could.

Len hated being run places.

"Where are we now?" he asked in annoyance. He looked around. Barry was looking through a window, and tears were free falling down his face. "Why?" he asked himself brokenly. "Why did I have to do it?"

Len stood up and walked over. He looked through the window to see Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon laughing and shooting darts.

The only problem was that the dart board had a picture of Barry on it.

Holy shit.

"Barry," Len asked carefully, "Why are your best friends shooting darts at your head?" Barry looked at a loss for words. "I-I-I screw with their lives," he said, looking up into Len's eyes. "How?" Len asked. Barry looked at him, and then he tackled him in a hug. Len saw stars.

"I created Flashpoint," Barry said, but it was muffled into Len's shirt. Len could feel the tears attacking his shirt, but he didn't care. Right now, he just wanted to be there for Barry. "What's Flashpoint?" Len asked, hoping that it was something he could help with.

"I went back in time to save mom for the Reverse Flash," Barry started. Len looked at the body on his in shock. Since when was his mom murdered? "I stopped him from killing her, but in doing so, I created an alternate timeline that we call Flashpoint." Huh? "After living there for six months, my memories of the old timeline started to fade. I started to forget being the Flash, Iris, Joe, etc. So, I went back, and I let the Reverse Flash kill her. By doing so, I created another timeline, this one. But it's not the same as the original one. Cisco's brother, Dante, is dead. Caitlin has uncontrollable ice powers. And those are just the major changes. John Diggle used to have a daughter. Now it's a son.

"We couldn't find all of the changes if we wanted to," Barry finished sadly. Len had a hand over his mouth.

"Well, Kid, the best you can do is try to fix it," Len said, hoping it would be helpful advice.

"Already tried that," Barry moaned.

"You can help me, though," Barry said. Len raised an eyebrow.

Suddenly, Barry kissed him, and Len kissed back.

Soon, they were in a bed, and their clothes were off.

...

Barry woke up with a smile. That hadn't happened in a while. He looked over at the body next to him, and he was content.

Len wasn't mad either.

Cisco being mad at Barry had gotten him a boyfriend. What would happen if Caitlin was mad at him?
