The Bridge
Note: This is a version without The Reverse Flash.
...
Barry sat on the bridge.
It was beautiful.
But deadly.
It was a popular suicide spot.
That was the reason Barry sat, thinking.
He was only twelve.
But everything in his life had gone to shit.
What did he have to live for?
His dad was in prison, his mom dead.
He could join her.
Suddenly, someone sat next to him.
"What are you doing?"
"Thinking."
"About jumping?"
Barry decided to ignore him.
"Why?"
"None of your damn business."
"Feisty. I like it."
"Shut the hell up."
Barry stared at the water, and watched as his tears fell into the river below.
"Listen. You can either talk to me, or I can call the police."
Barry scoffed.
"Leave me alone."
"No."
"Fine. You wanna hear the damn truth? My 'dad' murdered my mom. I live with the detective who arrested him. Every single person at my school wants me to jump. The tell me that too."
The boy didn't flinch.
"Well, my dad murdered my mom, except he didn't get busted and I watched it. My dad abuses me and my sister often, and no one cares. I have bruises."
"If your looking for a pity party, you won't find one here."
"I'm not. I'm trying to say some people have it worse."
Barry turned to the boy. "I don't care. Ok? My life is shit."
"So is mine."
Barry wanted to jump. Then the pain would go away.
But at the same time, he didn't.
"You're hesitating."
Barry wanted to scream.
He wanted everything to put itself back together.
But even he knew that could never happen.
It never would.
He wanted comfort, but no one would give it to him.
"Help me," he whispered brokenly.
The boy turned to Barry, and hugged him.
Barry squeezed back as much as he could.
"What's your name?" Barry asked.
"Leonard Snart, but you can call me Len."
"Bartholomew Henry Allen. But you can call me Barry."
Len held Barry for a while.
"I-I feel so alone," Barry whispered.
"So do i. We're a perfect match."
Barry chuckled.
"Can I kiss you?" Len asked.
Barry felt his surprise.
"It's ok if you aren't, you know, gay or bi or-"
He was cut off by Barry's lips on his.
"Thanks."
"Of course."
