Reader POV
"Ne, (y/n)?" Yuno tapped my shoulder one lazy morning.
"Yes?"
He looked away with a slight blush. "Can you come with me? I have to go back to Hage Village."
"Oh? Sure." I stood up and used my magic to transport the files out to the captains of the magic knights and Mereleona and Nozel who lead the Royal Knights.
"Hey, where's Langris?" Yuno looked around for him. "He's usually always around you or sleeping in your room. I didn't see him there."
I shrugged. "He said he had an important thing to do, so that's that."
"Alright. Have you ever been to Hage?"
"Ah, I see why you really wanted me to come with you," I jabbed his side with a teasing smile. "You're just too lazy to go yourself, aren't ya?"
He shook his head. "No! I promise you, it's not that! It's just-"
"Calm down, vice captain. I'm just teasing you. I'd be glad to accompany you, but I'm afraid I've never been to Hage-"
The doors burst open to reveal Finral.
"Miss (y/n)! The Heart Queen requests your presence in the Heart Kingdom!"
So Lolopechka has finally accepted the title as queen?
I nodded. "Alright. Sorry Yuno, I'm afraid I can't go with you."
Bell appeared beside him. "Yay! Yuno, we can finally-"
"Urasai, Bell."
"Gomen, Yuno."
What in the TsukiYama?
I followed Finral through the portal, waving goodbye to Yuno who let out a frustrated sigh.
Finral transported us to the throne room where Luck, Leopold, Asta, Mimosa, Secre, and a few others were with the queen.
"Ah, (y/n)." Lolopechka gave me a kind smile. "I'm so glad you could come. I'm sure you must be busy."
"What is it? Has there been a development of the curse?"
She shook her head and Undine brought us to a lake.
"Nope, just girl talk since we're all so busy."
I sighed and walked into the water with the rest of the females, stripping down and putting my clothes on the rocks near the shore.
Lolopechka waited a few minutes before pointing to the Cloverian mages. "Now! You three! Which one of you are dating Asta?"
I listened with amusement as the two girls except Secre started to become quite flustered.
"None of us are dating Bakasta!"
"But what about after the war?" I teased them.
Noelle didn't answer until her eyes widened. "What about you and Lord Langris?"
"What about us?"
"Yes," Mimosa joined her cousin in teasing me. "What's this about you possibly marrying him after the war?"
How the hell did they find out?!
"How did-"
"Langris was telling Finral and I overhead them," Noelle said. "Langris came by as usual to our base."
While I was pleased to hear Langris and Finral were reforming their bond, I didn't want to hear that he told others!
"So? What about it?"
I slunk down in the water, a blush on my face. "What about it? I haven't accepted nor confirmed it."
"I wouldn't wait any longer," Lolopechka said to me. "Take it from me: if you keep rejecting his proposals, he might lose interest. And you'll live to regret it."
She's got a point...
"But I can't just agree to it and one of us dies on the battlefield,"
"Oh, (y/n)..." Mimosa smiled softly. "If Rosseau were here, she and I would say the same thing: you worry too much! Just get it done with now while we still can!"
I sighed and looked over at Noelle who was nodding with a serious expression.
"But I'm too young-"
"And you're not getting any younger. Time passes by quickly," Secre said quietly.
I took a deep breath. "Alright...but will you four be at my wedding?"
"Of course we will!"
"Very well...I have a feeling he put you four up to this and included Finral in this plan. Should he ask me soon, I will gladly accept. And you're right."
"But suppose you did get married, who would be who?"
I thought for a moment. "Sorry ladies, but Mimosa would be the maid of honor and I'd have Rosseau, Lolopechka, Noelle, Fana, and Secre as my bridesmaids."
"Huh. How interesting."
PLAY THE MUSIC NOW.
I heard Langris knock on my door back at the Golden Dawn and he looked strangely calm.
This is it.
I knew he was going to propose.
He was dressed in his finest outfit and had requested me to do the same.
"I want to talk to you." He brought us to places that we explored when I first arrived, laughing at old jokes and memories we shared.
But then he brought us to the balcony that connected our two rooms, the stars glimmering.
He took a deep breath and I noticed there was a curtain that blocked the view of the rest of the balcony.
"Princess (y/n) Augustine Seline Korenthan of the Diamond Kingdom, I love you more than anything in the world and I would lay down my life for you. But tonight isn't about the war that draws closer as time goes on, but about us. Even though I have known you for two years now, I wish to marry you." He got down on one knee and opened a velvet box to reveal a tanzanite and diamond ring.
"Will you marry me?"
I nodded and the curtain came down to show that everyone in the Golden Dawn and our close friends already dressed formally.
"I told you she'd say yes," Patri was saying.
He and the captain were apparently the groomsmen and Finral the best man.
But what shocked me was the fact that Yuno, Fanzell, and Klaus were groomsmen as well.
A portal appeared made by Finral to reveal theother closest friends I had in the Diamond kingdom!
Langris reappeared at the end of the alter and General Winston placed his hand on my shoulder as a lady with fabric creation magic and memory magic appeared.
"Miss, I would like to see what idea of a wedding dress you would like," she said. "This is your wedding."
She peeked into my memories.
I spotted Lord Julius at the alter as the officiator, saying something to Langris who blushed.
The seamstress nodded and waved her palm, my body glowing until it stopped.
When the light died down, I saw myself in the mirror exactly as I envisioned myself on my wedding day.
"Wow..." I heard people whisper.
I looked up and my uncle looked as if he were about to cry. "You truly are a spitting image of your mother."
He took my arm and linked it with his as I held a boquet of white roses with a single blue magnolia flower.
Gentle music came from Rosseau's grimoire and she tried not to cry with happiness.
Meanwhile my groom had failed to do so.
"Oi, pull yourself together!" Finral whispered to him. "You're about to be married, damn it!"
Langris wiped his tears and I spotted his parents seated at the front with some of our friends.
"Oh my god..."
I heard Noelle whisper to Mimosa.
"I'm so jealous of Langris," Lolopechka whispered to them. "I'd wife her up right now!"
Yuno's eyes met mine and he looked away, a bit of sadness rushing through him to see the woman he loved but never told her get married to his rival.
I knew nothing but Langris's gentle eyes as we exchanged vows.
Patri POV
(y/n) looked so beautiful as she exchanged vows with her lover, both of them only knowing each other's gazes.
I couldn't help but feel a strange disturbance in the air.
"What the hell..."
Then a huge magic circle appeared and I immedietly lunged forward, jumping in front of my sister's counterpart.
Even though we were not related in this life, I and Captain William Vangeance both saw her as a little sister.
"(Y/N)! NO!"
I was almost too late.
A single arrow struck the wedding cake first before thousands of others did, but the arrows looked strange.
It was bone magic.
A poral appeared down on the first floor of the Golden Dawn and voices were heard.
"We're here for the arcane mage! Everyone else you can kill!"
Langris and (y/n) gave each other glances.
"We'll continue this later. We've got more important things to do!"
(y/n) was with me as we flew down the stairs, our magic activated.
"You!" (y/n) spat with hatred and anger at Zenon. "You fucking asshole!"
His eyes widened and I felt something stab my abdomen, spreading poison through my entire body.
"PATRI!"
I fell over, aiming a dark light spell at them. "It's more than my time to leave, (y/n). You'd better not die."
Reader POV
I shook my head with anger, quickly healing Patri and recalling the poison magic.
"Don't you dare say those things, Patri. Now get off your ass and fight!"
"It seems you're still alive," Zenon spat at me. "Of course. I should've made sure that you were dead."
I smirked at him, my grimoire opening to one of my newer spells.
"And it seems you've grown stronger, fuckface. They were right: I should've killed you back then. We could've avoided this whole mess."
He only smirked back at me. "I'm not in the mood to kill you, though you look absolutely beautiful. But my offer still stands."
Something happened to the magic area and I knew what he was doing.
Creating a spacial mana zone where all my magic was invalid.
It was like a cube.
No magic could get in, no magic could get out.
Zenon completely controlled the area we were in.
"My dear, my offer still stands." Zenon said to me, holding his palm out. "Marry me."
"And my answer remains the same. Absolutely not!" A sword made entirely out of iron that Uncle Winston made appeared in my hand.
"(y/n), surely you know that magic cannot work in this world that I trapped you and I in,"
I watched from the sides of the cube as he extended his bone magic outside the space, killing off dozens of Golden Dawn members.
"ROSSEAU!"
The music mage was split in half, literally.
Hamon and others also met the same tragic fate.
But I didn't see Langris or Yuno anywhere.
Until the space was broken and the two guys cut through, their magic flowing through the air.
"You dare interrupt my wedding?!" Langris spat. "The nerve."
"What the hell?! How did you cut through my mana zone?!"
Neither answered and Yuno gently moved me aside.
"We've got this."
"Like hell I'll let you take him on by yourselves!" I quickly transformed back into my Golden Dawn uniform, ice surrounding my body. "This burnt cruton fuck has the magic of a devil."
"Holy shit..." Langris couldn't form words as I grasped hands with Yuno.
"You ready to do what we practiced, Yuno?"
The wind mage nodded.
I turned to Langris, apology in my eyes. "I'm sorry."
"What for-HEY!"
I warped him into a protected zone that the wizard king himself taught me to do.
Speaking of which, the wizard king escorted everyone at the wedding out to safety unless they chose to stay and fight.
I held hands with Yuno, in a waltz position. "Let's get this show on the road, Yuno."
"Right!"
"Yuno, was it?" Zenon's eyes flickered with shock. "But my siblings all took down House Grinberryal! How is it that you're still alive?!"
"A friend saved me," he said. "Now! Burn in hell, you wretched asshat."
"Winter Wind God Union Magic: Spirit of Boreas Maxima!"
The entire earth shook, however the concentration was broken when I felt something go right through my chest.
It was a blade made entirely of flames and backed by poison.
"Yu-no-" I reached out and he caught me, the portal that I warped Langris into breaking and he quickly rushed to my side.
"Move out of the way, Grinberryal brat!" He held me in his arms, worry very evident in his eyes. "(y/n), don't you fucking dare leave me! You and I made an unbreakable vow that night! You wouldn't leave me!"
I cupped his face, blood splattering on my eyes as Yuno tried to defend us from Zenon who was killing our people off in record speed.
"I'm sorry."
"Damn you! I'll never fucking forgive you if you die! Don't you dare die!" He tried to get us out to the hospital wing, but Zenon canceled his spacial magic with his own.
"Bastard!" Yuno quickly threw up another attack, but it was pointless.
No One's POV
The Dark Disciples stormed the area of the Golden Dawn, killing off the people who were powerless against them.
The strongest squad in the Clover Kingdom was at the mercy of one person.
The very man who wanted nothing but total and absolute destruction.
"(y/n)!" The ex-vice captain of the Golden Dawn held his fiancé in his hands, blood splattering onto his face as she gripped his shirt.
"I'm sorry."
"Shut the fuck up!" Anger was evident in his eyes eyes as tears dripped down from his cheek and dropped onto her face. "You aren't leaving me!"
"No, I'm not. But I can't live anymore in this body. The poison-"
"Then use that goddamn grimoire and use your beautiful magic to save yourself! I can't lose you! I love you!"
At that exact moment, both Yuno and Zenon felt something both bittersweet and heart-wrenching.
Because they both loved the princess of the Diamond Kingdom, they wanted her to be happy.
But where as Yuno would be happy to remain by her side as a best friend, Zenon's fate was much more dark.
He wanted her to be happy, but not with Langris Vaude.
He was longing for a love that was no longer present, the sorrow of loss embedded into his mind that drove him insane to the point where he would do anything to get her affection.
Had he been blessed by the gods to rewind time, he would do so.
Maybe they would've ended differently.
But alas, fate had other plans in store for the younger of the Zogratis siblings.
One where (y/n) Korenthan wasn't in his life.
"Enough of this," a dark disciple said. "Lord Zeno, you cannot allow yourself to be distracted by her. She chose to side with the enemy and rejected your invitation to marriage."
But Zenon was focused on the very last heirs of two kingdoms that fell.
He planned to kill Yuno Grinberryal quickly, but he wanted to save his childhood sweetheart.
However, she was tied to a different string of fate where Langris Vaude was on the other end.
"I love you, Langris." (y/n) wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him one final time. "Live."
"DON'T YOU DARE CLOSE YOUR FUCKING EYES! (y/n)! What happened to our plans?! I would marry you and we'd have a beautiful family! Together!"
(y/n) closed her eyes and smiled at him with blood running down her face as another arrow struck her cheek. "I'm sorry. But you're going to live, Langris."
"No!"
"Stop it," the (h/c)-haired female said sternly to her lover. "Go fight or else everyone else is going to die. Including you."
(y/n) lifted her hand, the poison already reaching her hands. "Winter Magic: Healing Frost."
The very last of her magic was used to heal Yuno and Langris, and her body went limp.
"NO!" The estranged nobleman shook her body, hoping to wale her again. "NO! (y/n)! WAKE UP!"
His last words were very soft, but everyone in the room could hear him as Yuno prepared another spell as the last resort.
"Don't leave me..."
And once more, fate tore them away.
Patri was frozen, anger boiling up in his system.
His sister had just died almost the same way her elf counterpart did 500 years ago.
"Vile, disgusting, greedy humans!" Patri was about to release a spell when the next blow hit Zenon.
Langris's grimoire exploded with three new spells, his aura so deadly that even Zenon himself felt a twinge of fear.
"I'll fucking show you to murder my own fiancé right in front of me!" His face contorted with anguish for his dead lover and the determination to kill Zenon Zogratis.
But (y/n) wasn't dead.
No, her body was in a coma-like state, fighting off the poison.
Langris gently placed her down, whispering his love to her and the promise to avenge her death even though he didn't know that she was slowly beginning to gain focus again.
He stood up, looking absolutely horrid. "I'll teach you to show up to my wedding uninvited and killing us! Especially her! The only person I ever fucking loved!"
At the same moment, the magic encased in the unbreakable vow skyrocketed and (y/n) sat up quickly to everyone's surprise.
"LANGRIS! NO!"
(y/m) stood up, attempting to block the spell.
In her hazy state and her vision clouded by blood, she could see Langris would really murder Zenon Zogratis and possibly lose control of his magic and turn to the dark side just as Patri had.

(y/n) quickly opened her grimoire, stopping his magic and cancelling it with her own spacial magic reinforced with the ice depths of the abyss.
But the next thing everyone knew, Yuno was the next to fall.
His spirit Bell started to cry, begging him to stay.
She was slowly starting to fade, screaming to wake him up.
Meanwhile Langris stood absolutely still, shock in his eyes as he saw his presumed dead lover very much alive and the red string of fate appearing once more, but glowing a beautiful golden color.
The captain of the Golden Dawn saved them all at the last moment, quickly rushing in.
"World Tree Magic: Healing Hands."
And everything went black.
But when the whole area cleared of the magic, Vangeance was gone, as was the Dark Triad member and his disciples.
All the surviving Golden Dawn members were alive again, but in critical states.
However, over half were dead, their bodies in mangled ways and some with their heads cut off and stuck to the ceiling with bones to hold them in place.
And thus, truly gave the Clover citizens that their enemy was far more powerful than they ever imagined, even with their training.
Reader POV
I was still regaining my bearings when I felt a lurch and felt as though my powers were being stripped.
"(y/n)!" Langris caught my falling body, shock in his eyes.
Our strings of fate were glowing golden, a sign of an unbreakable vow had been made.
"Hold on, I'll get you to safety!"
More magic knights arrived at the scene, quickly bringing the barely-alive survivors to the hospital wings in hopes of saving them before it was far too late.
