[1] Snow Warrior

If you did not see the chapter before, I am rewriting this entire book. It's about time I rewrite this cringe anyway, eh?

General warning: this story will contain heavy manga spoilers with my own twists to make it fit the story I am writing.

ALSO!!! Patri and Ratri are related in the official canon Black Clover, but they will NOT be related in this story! Thank you.

Reader POV

I'm (y/n). Just (y/n). No last name. No 'House of whatever'.

Well actually, that's a lie.

I'm (y/n) Korenthan, the very last survivor from House Korenthan that formally ruled the Diamond Kingdom before it was taken over by the government obsessed with making themselves more powerful than they already were.

So now I'm just a poor girl that's been traveling on their own their whole life.

Leaving me to fend for myself in the cruel world.

But the kicker was that I was from the Diamond Kingdom.

Eventually, my travels lead me to the Clover Kingdom Capital.

"Did you hear about the selections for the Magic Knight Squad?" I heard a man say behind me.

I said nothing and kept sipping my beverage, well aware of their stares on me as I looked different from the people here.

"Yeah, I hear all captains are looking for new members!" A female voice.

"Haha, I bet a pretty lady like yourself is going to attend, am I right?" I felt someone sit next to me and wrap an arm around me.

I glanced in their direction. He had brown hair that was messy and purple eyes. "Who are you. Take your hand off me now."

He chuckled. "Cold-hearted, are we?" He smiled and extended a hand. "I'm Finral."

"(y/n)."

"What's your last name?" He asked kindly.

I shook my head. "I don't have one."

He tapped his chin as if he were in deep thought. "Well, I'll just have to give you one!"

"No thank you." I got up to leave after dropping some coins that I had obtained for picking flowers at a field. "Thank you,"

I left the tavern and glanced at the sky. It was a beautiful kingdom. I had traveled the outskirts but never actually went into towns.

"Hey, wait!" Finral followed me. He tried to grab my hand again but I stopped him with a glare.

"Don't touch me, stranger."

He pouted. "Mean! Hey, wait!"

I rolled my (e/c) eyes. "Go away, annoyance."

"Please, can I just get you something to drink or something?"

"So you can attempt to hit on me? No thank you," I stated. My goal was to get more food, not associate with people!

"Hey, where did you get that awesome outfit??" He called out again.

I looked at my outfit that was metalic blue and black with black boots and a belt. "This?"

He gasped. "Where did you buy it?!"

"What do you mean? I made it."

"Whaaaa?!?!" His jaw dropped. I clamped it shut. "How?!"

I sighed. "Simple. Creation magic. I harnessed some elements and put them into my outfit. I have the coldest snow, the lightest rays, and purest water. It's simple, really."

"But where did you get the fabric?"

"I just found it outside my home," I said. Well, it was true. Someone left it outside the cave I was living in.

"Wow! What house are you from?"

"Pardon me?"

He laughed. "Well, I guess you're like me! You ran away from home and you also grabbed some money! No way a peasant could afford that beautiful outfit."

My eyes turned cold and my grimoire appeared. It was a white grimoire with blue and silver trimmings. In the middle was a snowflake in silver.

"What?"

"You are annoying me, noble. Move or else I'll make you."

Everyone stepped back since my aura was too great.

"This magical power..." Finral gasped. He then smiled. "That's so cool!! You should totally join a Magic Knights Squad! I'm sure we'd love to have you!"

I then saw his robes. "You are a member of the Black Bulls?" My aura calmed down and my grimoire disappeared.

"Yep! But I bet with your magical power you'll be offered a chance for maybe the Blue Rose Knights or maybe even The Golden Dawn!"

I eyed him up with distaste. "And why would I do that?"

"I don't know, maybe to use your magic for the good of your country?"

Ha! You have no idea I'm from the Diamond Kingdom as one of their experiments.

But I took his word anyway since I made a promise to the children to someday come back and rescue them.

And what better way to do that when backed by the Clover Kingdom despite being a Diamond citizen?

It was time for the Magic Knights exam. I removed my hood and stood by myself.

"Who is that?" A boy asked. He had blue eyes, sandy blonde hair, and a cocky smirk. "Well, I don't really care."

We were all soon paired up with people to battle against.

I was paired up with some boy with brown eyes and a cocky smirk.

"Don't expect me to go easy on you just because you're a girl," He smirked.

Oh, how I would love to crush that smirk! "I would never expect someone like you to do so," I countered.

"What's your name anyway?"

"(y/n)," I responded.

"Mine's Shino. I'm from the Noble House of Adamina, second to the Wizard King." He then asked me what family I was from.

I smiled. "I'm from no family. I'm just a peasant, as you people here would call me."

His smirk then turned to outrage. "What?! I'm paired with a peasant?! I DEMAND A NEW PARTNER!"

The Wizard King groaned. "Too bad, Shino! I feel this opponent may get the best of you yet!"

Shino scowled. "Now I'm definitely not going easy on you, filth!" He summoned his magic and aimed at me. I easily blocked it with a defense spell.

"You are a spacial magic mage?" I asked. "Very well." My grimoire appeared and flipped a few pages. "Snow Magic: Blade of Icarus"

The whole arena erupted into starlight and snow. Then a bright glow appeared and the stars were gone.

Langris POV

I closed my eyes for a mere second as the blinding light became too much. Then I gasped. Instead of her - dare I say it - elegant robes, that peasant, was in something that I saw only Acier Silva herself wear.

It was a type of armor, but was completely made of ice and reinforced with spacial magic.

"Cool! A transformationtakeover spell!" The King fanboyed.

"STARLIGHT BLADE!" Shino shouted.

He met her attack and a huge surge of magic energy erupted from the blow.

The whole arena shook with impact.

"How?!" Shino shouted as the arena and the surrounding area came back to normal. "You're just a peasant! Not a noble! How is it that you have so much power?!"

"I dunno," She shrugged. "Wanna try again?"

He got angry again. "I SURE AS HELL WILL!" His book flipped a few pages and cast another attack spell.

Had Shino been not so powerful, he would have been injured when she used that blade.

Except he was powerful.

"Spacial magic. Starlight reflector."

Her spell was sent back and it hit her, but she just gathered the energy in her gloves with sharp edges and sent it right back at him, using her other magical attribute to cancel out his spacial energy, leaving Shino defenseless at the moment.

The spell hit him and sent him back.

"Are you okay?" She stood over him and offered a hand.

Shino scowled at her. "I don't need help from a peasant like you!"

The King sighed. "The round is over. (y/n) wins."

Everyone was in shock.

"Shino Adamina! Defeated by a peasant!"

"I must say, she is very powerful!"

"I wonder where she got her magic from? It's never been heard of that someone can have two magical attributes."

Everyone chatted.

"ATTENTION!" Marx called. "Now, round seventy-one. (Random name) vs (Random name)!"

I kept my eyes on her, fascination overtaking my anger.

"Captain, do you know who she is?" I asked the captain.

Just who was she?

Reader POV

It was my turn in the third match.

"(y/n) versus Irange!"

I saw my opponent. "Hello, Irange."

He smiled, a much more friendly boy than that Shino. "Hello! I'm sorry to tell you, but I don't have spacial magic!" A ball of fire appeared in his hand.

"Fire magic. Very interesting..." My book appeared again. "Snow Magic: Blade of Vestia."

Once more the arena was filled with an element, except this time it was fire.

Then it died down.

"What?! But I thought she had spacial and snow magic!" People both shouted at the same time. Then they glared at each other.

Ha, as if.

There are certain benefits to being blessed by the gods.

It's the power to take on different elements.

"Blade of Hestia! Raging Inferno!" I aimed the attack at Irange. I noticed from the corner of my eye the Captain of the Crimson Lions was staring at me. I gave him a curt nod and continued.

"Fire magic! Fire Spiral Storm!" Irange shouted.

The spells clashed, but mine was greater. It hit him and he soared into the air.

"Sheep magic! Fluffy cloud-la!"

Irange was brought down back into the area on a cloud.

"(y/n) wins!"

Langris POV

No way! No way! That peasant!! She has both Fire, Snow, and Spacial magic?!

I clenched my fists. "No way!"

It was time for the captains to choose who they wanted in their squads. I noticed that (y/n) was once more in her blue robes. Not that I cared!

"Fifty-two!"

(y/n) stepped in the center of the arena.

I smirked, knowing that she was going to be chosen. If she became my subordinate, I would be allowed to teach her her place!

I especially knew that the captain himself took a special interest in her.

Collective gasps were heard.

Every. Single. Captain. Had. Their. Hand. Raised. For. Her.

"WHAT?!?!" I shouted, along with some others.

Finral chuckled. "What can I say? My new friend's powerful! I do hope she chooses the Black Bulls! I want to know her more!"

For some reason, I felt a stab of jealousy towards my brother.

Of course. All the ladies seemed to like him.

I normally thought women were dull and borning. Except (y/n)...she was different.

I wanted to see her suffer, to put her in her place.

"If you would allow me the join the Golden Dawn," (y/n) said.

The Golden Dawn captain nodded his head and she stepped with the other Golden Dawn members who regarded her with either approval or disbelief a peasant made it into the Golden Dawn!

"Fifty-three!"

Reader POV

I put the Golden Dawn's robe on top of my outfit.

"Welcome to your new living quarters, (y/n)," Captain William Vangeance said as he opened the door for me. It was huge. Much larger than the caves in the north I was accustomed to.

"Hmph." Langris growled.

I smiled at him. "Don't worry, I'm sure a clever guy like you can easily surpass me one day," I patted his shoulder. "But practice makes perfect. One day, Langris. One day."

He looked at me, shocked. I thought I saw a trace of blush but it was turned into a scowl before I was sure.

"Hmph. You're still a peasant."

"Be nice, Langris," Captain Vangeance scolded. "Now, your room is next door. I trust no funny business will happen?"

Both of us shook our heads.

"Good." He disappeared down the hallway.

I went back into my room, but then Langris used his spacial magic to come into my room. He pushed me against the wall.

"What are you doing, Langris?" I asked quietly.

He gripped both of my shoulders. "How...dare you? I am a noble and you a peasant! I am your vice captain and you will treat me as such!"

"Oh, get over it! What are you, five?!"

"No! I'm nineteen!"

"And you're older than me!" I said. "Now act like it!"

He was taken aback. "What?!"

"Act like it! It's rude to come into my room uninvited! Noble or not!"

What he said next shocked me.

"I'm sorry." Then he used his magic to go back into his own room.

Langris POV

My heart was beating so fast. No one had ever talked to me like that! Not Mother, not Father, and especially not my big 'brother'.

"What is wrong with me?" I asked myself as I got ready for bed. I then looked outside. And groaned. Apparently (y/n) and I shared a balcony. Great.

I spotted her outside too. "What is that girl doing to me that's making my heart race so fast?"
