"Yo Cameron! You ready?!"

I heard a grunt come from down the hall, which was most likely a yes.

Check

I walked out of my room with my suitcase in hand. I looked to my right and saw Cameron walking down the hall, pulling his suitcase behind him.

"You have the tickets?"

He asked in a monotone voice

"Yep"

He nodded as he made his way to the door. I followed behind him shortly after.

"Do you have a car?"

I asked. The airport was little ways away to walk there, and I didn't have my license yet.

"No"

"Then what did you take Ashley to your sisters with?"

"My feet"

Oh. They walked.

"I'm guessing you can't drive"

He looked to me, a smug look on his face. I punched his shoulder. And called for a cab.

A yellow car stopped in front of us and we put our luggage in the trunk. We made our way to the doors in the back and sat down.

"To the airport please"

The driver nodded as I leaned back against the back of the seat, staring out the window. Car and buildings went passed us in a blur of different colors, mainly red white and black, most common colors of cars.

I stared up at the clouds in the sky, and wondered if the air in Canada would smell different like the air in America did when I first moved here.

When my plane landed in America and I took my first steps onto American soil, it was different. Everything was different, the air was a mixture of clean and smug, the heat was more unbearable than Canada at its highest in the summer. Even the people were different. When I first visited Allison's house and met her family, it was like walking into a rodeo, her older brother by 2 years was wrestling with her dad, her mom was cheering for a game that was playing on the Tv, her little sister was pacing around the house on her phone with her outdoor shoes on, and her littlest sister was following the other one. First of all, I didn't know that Americans had so much passion for things, and second, I didn't know you were allowed to wear your shoes inside! In Canada, it's rude to wear your shoes inside a person's home, whether it's your home or someone else's.

My thoughts vanished as I saw the airport coming closer. I thanked the driver and got my things as Cameron grabbed his. We walked inside and got the tickets, the lady at the desk was nice, a soft and welcoming voice. As we boarded the plane I began to feel anxious. I've never really been too fond of planes. As we sat down I look over to Cameron, he's perfectly calm. Why aren't I?

"Would you like anything?"

I look up at a female flight attendant. She was pushing a cart full of food like they usually do on planes.

"Nuts please."

I look over to Cameron who has his very convincing fake smile plastered on. The flight attendant nods with a slight blush as she hands him his nuts. She looks at me as if she wanted to jump on me and strangle me right then and there.

"N-nothing for me."

I answer with a slight quiver in my voice, afraid that if I got anything that she would poison it or something. She soon leaves to go serve another person. I settle back in my seat, happy that the deadly woman is at least one foot away from me. Out of the corner of my eye, I notice Cameron smirking.

"What are you smirking at?"

He looks out the window, shoving a few more nuts into his mouth, mumbling a nothing. A shake my head, closing my eyes as I get comfortable. My head fills with thoughts as I drift off to sleep. I don't like planes.
