Undelightfully Awakening

The Star spangled country groaned and shifted uncomfortably. Forcing one of his eyes to open. He didn't recognize the room he was in, or the bed. Everything was either red or pink, the blue in the decor. He would of pushed himself to get up to look around instead of the bed and the wall.

Yet he had a pounding head ache kept him from doing a single thing. He could barely process a single thought, his mind felt cluttered trying to recall the previous night.

Yet then he heard the door creak.

His instincts took over, forcing himself to sit up. Even growl, I mean he didn't know who's house he was in, or who the hell just entered. He wanted to let them know he is ready to give a fight if he tried a single thing. Plus even being hung over he was still on edge, I mean one of his own brothers was murdered. Of course he'd be ready to fucking fight someone.

Yet America let himself calm once he saw the familiar face, even barely cracking a smile.

"Hey..!" The familiar figure said, yet it looked like the person was hiding something, her shoulders tensed and her lips showing a horribly forced smile. She never was good at faking it, everyone who knew her well could tell.

America forced himself over to the young girl, his body felt tired like he wanted to collapse, yet he forced himself to stay up. He looked down at the her, pouting slightly as she still tried to keep her fake smile. He just put a hand on her shoulder and tilted his head slightly at her.

"Ok.. Zea what's wrong..?"

America asked with caution, he didn't want to say the wrong thing or bring up a sad topic. Zea was an amazing sister to the American, yet Everytime he's seen her cry or get upset he always felt angry, at himself, other people even his other siblings at times. He just couldn't see his sister cry and not want to beat the shit out of the person who made her cry.

Zea just nodded and sighed "Ame... do you remember what happened last night..?" She asked, sniffling slightly, looking upset as she stared into her brothers eyes. America just shook his head, he had faint memories yet nothing that he could really point out significant enough to make Zea cry.

Zea just looked worse "I'm so sorry.." She mutter's looking at the ground "I.. I didn't want to be the one to tell you.. I.. I just can't." Zea said once again, refusing to even look at America. The star spangled country was confused, he didn't know what she was talking about. Yet he could feel anxiety crawling up his back. It felt like water droplets going up his skin instead of down.

He shivered, Now America just wants to know what it was.

New Zealand wrapped her arms around  America as a type of pre-comfort "Canada.. Canada he.. He.."

Zea took a sharp breath of silence.

"Last night... Something caught his house on fire.. And.. Canada couldn't get out in time..." Zealand murmured. America felt a blurry scene come into his head, wrapping his arms tightly around the girl. He.. was dead?

I mean the little blurry memory showed the house covered in flames. Yet he barely remembered something, it looked like a.. Person? We're they running away? What if they were the ones who...?

Yet the country shook the idea off, he just couldn't think about it. His head hurt and another brother of his was dead, they haven't even had Australia's funeral and they already had another dead to mourn. Why was this happening to them?

America just backed away from his sister nodding and refusing to look at her.

He.. He didn't want to appear so.. So weak.

He just crossed his arms and tried to hide the tears in his eyes. The younger just silently understood, backing away and leaving. Yet pausing just before exiting the door, like she wanted to say something. Yet no words could form, so she just gave a stuttered sigh and left.

America listened to the footsteps till they were to quiet to hear, then he just let his head fall down, looking straight at the ground with teary eyes. Feeling the salty droplets slowly drop, he didn't want to accept his two brothers were dead, yet it was the only option he had.

America felt like everything he loved was slowly being torn away, right in front of him, yet there was nothing he could do.

So he kept still, head pounding and eyes watering.

He looked devastated.

He looked.. Hopeless.
