Zephaniah POV

"I lost everything, my friends, my love and I'm not gonna lose Archie" he said with determination echoed in his voice. It has been a long night, Carson and me sitting on the bed as he narrated his life story to me. I as fascinated at some areas like I never knew I had an uncle and a very badass one at that is unbelievable! But then he died, how did dad cope?

I heard when you lose your twin it's like you lost a whole half of yourself and it will hurt a lot.

"You're not losing him and you don't know for sure scarlet is dead, you never investigated" I said shocking my own self with my words.

"of course I investigated, her body burned to ashes, only debris they could find and as for Archie after this mission with the new gang, THE HELL'S ANGELS his gone straight to London far away from all this confusion and from me" he shouted at me, rage settled in his eyes with a large piece of hurt..

"You can't shield him from everything, Carson. His gonna find out and when he does his not gonna forgive you" I said to him and he didn't affected at all.

"It's not like your gonna tell him or are you gonna be the one to tell him that his whole life is a lie?" he said as a matter of fact and my lips fell shut. I just stared at him feeling defeated, helpless.

"I've seen the way you look at him, you care for him and I fully know you wouldn't want to be the one that will break him so face the music Zephaniah all this child plan its over"

"Why did you tell me everything?" I said in a hush voice expecting to hear something logical.

"as I said before, you can leave if you want but the thing about you that you don't know is I know you, you act like you don't care but you do, your hurt and you feel alone and at the same time you don't want to feel the love around you maybe cause your scared or you have found solace in your loneliness." He said skeptically and the expression on my face gave him his desired answer.

I was indeed lonely, lost my only friend, my best friend, my only prison, high tech academy and now I was here with a man, I have never known before but it seems he has history with my father and my dad forgot to pin point that. What a coincidence?

He left soon after I went silent; I didn't know what else to say so I lay there, drowned in my thoughts. Why does everyone have to hold me down with this life threatening burdens?

It took me back to the place all this happens, where all this drama and confusion started. When I was called to the principal office that momentous math day.

Seated in Mr. Louis office, I stayed quiet as he talked seriously

"Zephaniah everyone is gonna die in the next three days you have to listen" he said crucially.

I just nodded.

"I can't tell you everything but the gang attacking the school is named THE LORDS, they will come looking for you because you will know everyone they want. I belong to a gang also THE HELL'S ANGELS and we have confidential information that can destroy THE LORDS. So due to that, the gang leader, Carson will, will attack and likely capture you but no matter what do not tell him about THE HELL'S ANGELS, he will know soon enough...."

Flashback ends....

Every since that day, I kept on wondering, THE HELL'S ANGELS who are they? And why do they want Carson? He looks like the type to have enemies but not to the edge to destroy him.

There's nothing I can do to change this..... but all I know I don't want Archie caught up in all this. He deserves better

Next morning.....

I woke up feeling like my head weigh a thousand tons; I didn't get out of my outfit yesterday. I stretched a little bit then went to take a hot shower; yeah that's what I needed.

After, I got dressed in a oversized pink knitted sweater and white baggy joggers slipping in a fluffy white slippers.

Next thing on my mind was food, I know what you're wondering after everything that happened. I'm still behaving as if it's normal but really can't kill myself.

Either way this isn't my story to perform, it's my parents and I'm just a substitute.

I got out of my room, down the stairs welcomed by Archie sitting on the sofa eyes glued to his phone screen and I just wanted to pass without him talking but I guess fate had other plans....

"Oh hey Zephaniah" he says with that sincere voice of his. Oh lord help me, I thought.

"Oh Archie, good morning" I said beaming a quick smile to leave but he kept on chatting.

"Yeah good morning, ummm are you okay? You seemed off after last night" he said with his eyes scanning my face and I retorted to being as usual as possible which was hard.

"I'm great, I'm just really hungry so if you don't mind" I said pointing to the kitchen, wishing I could fly over there in a jiffy. I will really be thankful.

"I saw my dad leave your room late at night, what did he tell you?" he asked what that inquisitive nature he had over the lake the other night, the nature I feared for him.

"umm..." I muttered when the house door bell echoed and it kind off startled me because we never have guests I wonder who that could be?

I looked over to Archie and he flashed me an apologetic smile, was it me or was I being suspicious? He went over to open the door presenting a fair-skinned girl, with dark brown hair and Disney type of facial features with a cute light red nose that compliments her crimson cheeks. Who couldn't get mesmerised in those big puppy brown eyes?

She went all over Archie, hugging him so tightly and squealing jumping for pleasure.

"Hey Archie" she said giving him a quick kiss on his lips and confusion matured yawning in me.

"Hey Matilda" he said in a low tone, holding on to her waist closing the gap between them.

Matilda? Who the fuck is Matilda? I thought feeling infuriated and upset. Then maybe just maybe she's his girlfriend.
