Zephaniah POV

Soon after the sky was getting down. The day ended fast and I didn't like it. No I hated it because the mission was getting close. A knock came on my door.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"its Carson open up" he said and I went over to open the door.

"You're back" I said finally over the eerie silence in a calm way not that I missed him that will be weird.

"Looked like someone missed me?" he said coming closer that's when I saw the splitting image between him and Archie.

"Don't think too highly of yourself " I said sternly and he just continued smirking.

"Anyways here's what you're wearing for the night don't stay long we'll going soon so get dressed" he said stretching the outfit in the bag to me. I took it grudgingly but I really wanted to know what he got me. I could really use some sort of confidence here.

Once he left I closed the door and got the clothes out of the bag. Gosh it was astonishing. It was a black huggy crop top with a short white left sided slit skirt with a long black leather jacket to fit with the high light brown laced up heel I was wearing. Can't wait to see my body on that!!!

Zephaniah's outfit

This is Zephaniah pair of shoes

I went to have a quick bath and after that got dressed in my clothes. I did very light makeup. The outfit fitted me perfectly outlining all my curves. Suddenly I got a knock on the door.

"hey its Archie" he said and I hastily went to open the door. There he was in a perfect black tuxedo wearing round sliver colored glasses with white laced up sneakers as his hair looked puffed up than before. Taking in a formal and causal look at the same time. That's cute.

This is archie's outfit

"Hey" I said suddenly recalling what I did. He didn't even say open the door and my body working against me just when on.

"You look cool" he said scanning me from head to toe. I felt nervous. I for one don't like attention so I tend to avoid it

"you don't look that bad yourself" I said smiling. Shockingly to myself. We just stayed there staring at each other. Mesmerized in each other eyes.

"Ummm sorry I was staring too much I guess....i just came to give you this" he said giving me a set of glasses. They are heart shaped with black shades and the heart looked like it was melting. Its super cool and stylis. They are a beautiful pair. Now that is suspicious.

" my dad isn't really gonna tell you so the glasses are spy tech... we will used them to identify Mr. Wilson and also to communicate with Levi and my dad secretly and since your kind off in the news it will help you to blend in" he continued and that's when I understood it and I just nodded.

"also dinner is ready" he said lastly. I closed the door behind me and we made our way to the dining table. Walking side by side feeling the tension between us or was it only me that was feeling it.

"so that call I had earlier please my dad can't know of it" Archie said facing straight ahead as we passed a couple of maids.

"and why is that?.....after all you said it was just a friend...nothing suspicious about that" I asked rather amused.

"I lied...matilda is actually my......:" he said but I cut him off

"Your girlfriend" I said this time we looked at each other stopping in our trail at the corner of the dining room. I felt enrage but for what. Archie was never mine to begin with so where did all this angry and hurt come from.

"I never intent to lie to you" he said and I wanted to laugh. Laugh till my ribs hurt and the muscle clench so tight and stiff.

"it's cool...there's nothing going on between us so its none of my business of whatsoever....once the mission is over, I go back to my normal life and you go back to yours. Don't worry I'll keep your little secret" I said walking out to the dining room not giving him the liberty to talk back. I didn't even want to hear what he wanted to say because it wouldn't make sense. I wonder maybe when he said I was important, was it a lie too?

I breathe deeply. I need to stop filling my thoughts with Archie. After all, some few weeks later I'm out of his life and his out of mine. That should be my focus now. The more successful this is the faster I'm out of here. On reaching the dining table I saw Carson and Levi already digging into the beef sauce. Their mouths were too stuffed to ask any reason why I was late.

I just sat down on a lonely chair and ate slowly as if savoring the taste or wasting time it's how you see it actually. Few seconds later Archie came and the dining today was a quiet one indeed.
