Zephaniah sin's POV

Hey everyone..if you got this far in my book thank you a bunch for sticking with me. Zephaniah Sin is the main character in this book so most chapters will be from her point of view.
Also, Zephaniah is a female, not a male

"Now you multiply two by the remainder," says my maths teacher Mr Leeds.

I for one want his class to end. As much as I don't like maths I don't struggle to get good grades in it.

"On your tab, I will send your assessment for this week, "

Mr Leeds says earlier again with his never-ending assignment.

I diverse my eye direction to upload the assignment on my tablet when the class speaker announces

"Please can Zephaniah Sin report to the principal office"

Before I knew it all eyes were on me. I for one don't like attention at all so at once I stood and went out into the halls with Mr. leeds permission.

At least I was out of that boring class but what bothered me was why the principal was calling me?! not that it's a big deal but I wasn't the social type.

After much pondering in the hallways. I was finally in front of the principal office. I took a moment to breathe as I knocked softly on the door.

Then I heard

"Come in"

I opened the door to a well-furnished reception and was greeted by a fair-skinned woman that I presumed to be in her early thirties.

I guess her to be Mrs. Evelyn Rose. the alluring woman staff in the school.

I hear a lot about her around but with her aura, I see she has no time to sit for a little chat.

"Miss Sin?" she called out to me as she put her slim pink lips into a thin line. she wasn't much of a woman of smiles I thought.

I gave her a curt nod.

"The principal will be with you shortly have a sit" she ordered me.
she's harsh.

I like that but I couldn't help to think about the principal
I heard his a comedian. by I mean he doesn't take things seriously. I wasn't at least anxious.

Shortly the telephone rang. Miss Evelyn picks up the call nodding at intervals as she looks at me.

"You may go in,"

she said to me
I stood up and opened the principal office. it was grand in white and black I noticed.

The man has a style that I can give to him. He was a chocolate-skinned man wearing a casual black suit and I assume he's in his mid-forties.

He walked up to me beaming a strange bright smile.

"Zephaniah sin,how are you?"

"Fine once I leave here"

"I understand... I won't waste much of your time.. let us sit"

I just gave him a simple nod.

He moved over to his chair while I was sitting across the black polished wooden table.

"Okay what I'm about to discuss with you is confidential..so listen"

"I have to stop you there..mr Louis," I said seeing his name tag on his black suit.

"You have never met me before and you think it's safe to tell me such secrets" I continued as he chuckled at me.

"I know you more than you can imagine Zephaniah"

I glare at him hard. I prefer to be at Mr Leeds's boring maths class than to feel inferior by this joke.

I wanted to walk out,I do but I was also curious to know about what he was saying so I stayed back giving him a curt nod. he cleared his throat and continued

"you see everyone in this school is gonna die in the next three days"

haha, this man must be kidding but no he was damn serious.

he didn't beam that strange smile as he did.

I couldn't listen to this...he must be joking but why was I panting like this,is not as if I cared for anyone in this school,but Ezra.

I need to save her...

"You must be kidding tell  me you're kidding!" I said as I raised my voice a little.

"I'm not joking Zephaniah. I will probably be the first to die so listen carefully...."

I listened to everything he said and left his office quietly.

I checked the time and it was almost time for my next class.

I walked up to my locker and Ezra was there...

I didn't have the energy to meet her now. I was uneasy, but as soon as she noticed my presence, she beamed the brightest smile so you're telling me universe I'm gonna miss thi... Ezra

"I came to your class to look for you....where were you?" she asked me.

"Phe principal called me," I said unconcerned.

"Hmmm..why" she asked curious.

"visiting day is tomorrow..and he called for me, to inform me that my parents are coming" I said slowly so as to sound more convincing

"Oh okay,is it cool if we go to a party tomorrow, it's in the evening that's if you want to..." she asked nervously.

"Yes I will"

"Zeph,what's wrong? I usually beg hell for you to go to a party with me and now what's with the casual response"

"Life is short so I have to live it to the fullest," I said tapping her shoulder.

Then the school bell rang.

I turned immediately and left that the sweet sound of her

"bye Zeph"left me stiff sometimes.

After school we didn't talk, again that day or will I say I was trying to avoid her.

Honestly, you can't blame me argghh I wished I never knew about any of this bull shit or maybe the principal is just playing a prank on me.

After all, he is Ezra's dad and tomorrow is now really visiting day.

I know I'm meant to be happy and jumpy but I am not because I for one don't love seeing my parents that much...

My dad is quite cool and blunt in words since I have known him and my mum is quite the opposite of my father.

I sometimes wonder how they got married and had sex and all that but you know as they say...

love is blind.
