Y/n was tired and shook after the whole soulmates ordeal. Bela had decided to join her sisters in playing the piano and dancing in the ballroom, which meant that Y/n was left alone to wander the halls of the manor for what felt like the 10th time. Somehow, the manor surprised Y/n each day, with something new that she would've never seen the day before. It was almost magical, in a way. But she suddenly heard footsteps from far infront of her. Y/n's frightful instincts kicked in, and she hid behind a small table just as Lady Dimitrescu came around the corner. She seemed to be looking for Y/n for some reason, and even stranger, she had something clutched tightly in her hands. Y/n had no idea why she was hiding, but she kept quiet and still as Lady Dimitrescu went past the table. And somehow, Lady Dimitrescu found Y/n in a ball, in the shadow of the small table that didn't seem to hide her very well.

"Ok, Y/n, what are you-" Alcina asked, before Y/n got up quickly and interrupted her mid-sentence.

"I know what you're thinking! No I am not hiding from you because I have over-sensitive instincts!" Y/n replied. Alcina smiled, and began to caress Y/n's cheek.

"I love how you're so nervous almost all the time. It makes me feel like a guardian angel, a protector caring for you..."

"Thank you, I guess... but I don't understand..."

"You don't understand what, dear?"

"How you've kept all this soulmate stuff from me. And why you didn't tell me sooner..."

Alcina thought for a while, before lightly pecking Y/n on the lips and smiling.

"Let's go to the living room and discuss it there, darling," Alcina spoke before heading back she came from. Y/n tried her best to keep up with Alcina's speed, which meant she had to jog slightly to match her speed.

"So... yeah, that's why I hid all that from you..." Alcina smiled, as Y/n looked at her in slight shock. They'd spend an hour and a half talking about any questions Y/n had, and only question was left. What did Alcina have in her hand?  Y/n asked her final question hesitantly, and Alcina smiled even more, with a glint of romance in her golden eyes.

"Well it's something for you, darling," Alcina spoke. She opened up her hand, and showed Y/n a Ruby and Diamond ring. The metal in which the crystals were placed carefully on was pure black, and on the inside of the ring was the words 'Per aspera ad astra'. Y/n looked at Alcina in surprise, and remembered what Alcina had said to her many weeks ago. 

Was it the marriage proposal that Alcina had once mentioned before?...
