My first try at writing a songfic because I really wanted to! Sorry if it's a bit bad!

Y/n couldn't sleep. She had decided to rest on a couch, but the soft crackling of the fire and the trickling of the rain outside didn't seem to soothe and calm her that night. It was 2:00am, and although Y/n's eyes were heavy, she found it almost impossible to sleep. And finally, after hours of consideration, she decided to wander up to Alcina's room in hopes of eventually falling asleep up there. Y/n knocked slowly on Alcina's door, and surprisingly got a reply.

"Yes, who is it?" Alcina's voice spoke from behind the door.

"It's me, Y/n," Y/n replied, her voice slightly slurred.

"Ok, enter,"

Y/n entered the room to Alcina reading a book on her bed. She was dressed in a thin dressing gown and her dark hair was fully down. Y/n tried not to blush as Alcina started to speak again, not taking her eyes off the book she was reading.

"So darling, what is your reasoning for coming to see me at this hour?"

"I can't sleep. That's all,"

Alcina paused. She put down her book and looked at Y/n.

"And what do you want me to do about it?"

"I d-don't know... look, I'll j-just go back-"

"No darling, come lay next to me. I have something that may help..."

Y/n did as Alcina said and laid next to her. The softness of the bed's mattress was already making Y/n sleepy.

"This song has always drifted my daughters to sleep whenever they couldn't..."

There was silence for a few seconds before Alcina started to sing.

A-Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand

Her voice was softer than usual, almost dreamy, and it seemed to be affecting Y/n.

All I worship and adore

In other words, I love you...'

Y/n was finally close to sleeping. The usually 'evil' aesthetic that radiated off of Alcina had faded away and was replaced with a sweet, motherly nature.

I love you...'

Y/n had fallen asleep. It was odd how one small song could instantly make her sleepy.

"Good night, my rose," Alcina smiled. She turned off her main light and laid down, wrapping her arms around Y/n as she began to fall asleep herself. The only sound that could be heard then was the soft trickling of the gentle rain outside...
