The snow was cold against my bare skin.

Arms pinned mine down, and my lover laughed with me.

The snow was refreshingly icy, but also pierced our skin as we were rolling in the snow.

He laid beside me and we watched the snow fall from the sky for a few minutes.

"This is my favorite thing in the world, you know that?" He whispered.

I smiled. "What, escaping the pack into the forest alone, or having sex in the snow?"

He chuckled and I followed.

No that's not all we did. We like the escape because we can't be seen as a couple together - or even together at all.

In fact, if I even look his way around the pack they'll bitch us both out.

We first came out here for the escape, started being playful - running around, rolling, wrestling, and it escalated from there of course.

"It's a toss up." He laughed outright after a second of silence, and so did I. We love making each other laugh.

"Well, I just love being with you." I whispered.

He smiled in a way that only I had ever seen.

"That's what I was going to say." He considered something for a moment. "Remember how you said you wanted to have something that showed we were together, but we couldn't without being under suspicion?"

I nodded with a sad smile. I love him with all my heart, and I can't even show it.

It's painful.

He smiled, and reached over to his jacket. He fished through the pocket and held something in his hand out to me.

I grabbed it from him curiously and as I saw what it was, tears welled up in my eyes and my lip quivered with a smile.

It was a necklace pendant that looked like ying and yang inside a sun - our symbols of the pack.

I traced the design and he reached over, tracing the designs on my stomach. I bit my bottom lip and still, struggled not to cry. My piercing wiggled on my lip.

I turned my head to him. "I love it. Thank you Aaron. . ." I smiled and closed my eyes, wiping away snow from my cheeks - or tears.

His lips touched my temple and I laughed happily for a second, making a few tears fall.

"I love you." Hi whispered into my skin.

"I love you, too." I whispered and clutched him into a big hug. He held onto me as well, and I don't think either of us needed any more words.

Soon after, we were dressed - which took us a bit because we kept stopping to kiss. We hadn't been together alone for weeks or months - and walking back, still running and messing around.

Sometimes we're such pups.

We were about 40 feet from the camp, and so I walked in front of Aaron quickly and stopped him.

"One at a time. Like always."

He nodded and I pecked his lips before turning and walking back to camp.

About 20 feet away, I transfigured into my wolf form. Raven black fur, with my normal bright copper-gold eyes.

I had silver markings all over me, matching the tattoos I have in human form, except on my tan human skin they were black.

My wolf ears were pierced as always, but my lip and eyebrow piercings weren't ever in my wolf form.

The reason I had to transfigure, is because we rarely leave our wolf forms, but me and Aaron do sometimes because again - the escape.

Our pack is strict and demanding.

And even the alpha is under the elders, so they can't control the pack with what they want.

The elders basically tell the alpha what to do, and they in turn tell the pack.

"Alpha! Alpha!"

I turned my furry ears to the sound and saw a guard wolf, one of the 4 we have specifically trained to protect the alpha.

"Where have you been, Alpha?"

"Don't question me. I was exploring." I used my strong voice, emphasizing my title as Alpha.

"Right! Sorry my Alpha, but the elders wish to speak to you."

I nodded and the cold wind blew out my long fur.

As I walked through the castle ruins, I turned my head and saw the omega just making it inside the ruins.

His fur matched mine but he had steel eyes.

And I saw the same emotions I had seen minutes before, as we rolled in the snow.

A/N yes it's a mature beginning to this book, but it'll make sense later! I promise lol

Kinda have some inspirations for this book, but PM me if you have an idea because idk what to do much with this so far, and I'll give you a shoutout for the help 😂

Also, I do not apologize for the maturity. I was nervous about posting it because that's not normally how I write or how people expect me to act irl, but I'm not sorry. I wrote it, I'm proud of it.
