"Are you stupid?!" I yelled hitting him across the face again.

What the hell? He was leaving tomorrow....tomorrow! Of all days! And he didn't even tell me? I was trying to understand his reasons for not telling me but right now? There's no way I would try to understand anymore. How could he just leave tomorrow? Why would....

"Can you stop?! You're hurting me!" He yelled right back, holding my hand and throwing it back at me.

"It was a prank. I don't know why I said that okay? You have zero chill. You didn't even wait for me to finish explaining...I'm leaving after first term" he said

"Your existence is a prank! Do you know the kind of heart attack you gave me?!"

I wanted to cry...if he was actually going going tomorrow.

"Ouch." He muttered.

"Do you even know what would happen to our relationship if you just diss---"

"Woah there! Our relationship? Miss Simon, have you been naming our children already?" He asked raising a brow.

Wrong move...wrong move! Why did I even talk now? I'm always saying nonsense.

"Okay....what now? Of course I was just kidding. I mean...w-what relationship are we in if not just friends. I mean we've both been friend zoned.."

"Meet me at the Dominos Pizza close to my house by 5" he said and walked away.

Okay what just happened?

"Can you just chill?" Yinka groaned wiping of the highlighter from my nose "what? You chill, its almost  5" I said.

It was already late, And I knew I wouldn't make it there on time all because of these people.

"Please who's doing your make up for you? Better shut up. and its 4:02, how is it almost 5?!"

"Heaven leave me alone"

"And since when did you start calling me heaven?"

"Isn't it your name?"

"I'm used to Yinka. Stay in one place if you make me wipe off this thing again I'll pour hot water on your ugly face."

I huffed and sat down trying my best not to squirm as she applied the eye liner. I swear that thing used to tickle me.

"Finally I'm done!" She sighed in relief. "woah! See what I did? When Tony sees you, he'll fall head over heels. just look cute, don't go and overdo your dressing. Take" She handed me some clothes to change into

I smiled at her but she pinched my cheek "stop blushing. wear that and get out fast"

"Someone is smiling, you'll say it's blushing" I said rolling my eyes

"Be fast and get out!" She said

"You don't want me around do you?"

"Never said I didn't. Bye " she said closing the door.

I sighed and turned to my bed looking at her choice of clothing. To be honest...I wanted to look my best for Tony....make him impressed but Yinka insisted I wore something kind of plain and cute.

I wore the pink and white sweater and black high waisted jeans pairing it with my vans. It was almost December so it was getting cold already. Harmattan was striking.

"Aww you look cute" Yinka cooed once I got downstairs

"Where is this one going now?" Temi asked chewing on her toast bread.

Who eats toast bread in the evening?

"On a date" Yinka replied.

I glared at her, only you.

"what?" She asked when she saw my glare was directed at her. "Isn't it date? By the time you come back, you'd be his girlfriend."

You Wish. Well....I wish.

I glanced at my watch....holy Jesus! It was already 4:59...I knew I was going to be late.
I quickly turned around walking to the door

"Leave me. I'm going b-"

"Where are you going?" Mom asked coming out of her room with dad.

Here we go again.

I opened my mouth to speak but Yinka beat me to it. "on a date with Tony"

"Tony? The same guy that helped you?"

"Yup! The one and only. I always knew they had chemistry" Yinka continued. I smacked her head making her grunt.

"Aww. My baby is growing up" dad said.

"Chill! Aren't you supposed to tell her to focus on her studies? " Temi asked in disbelief

"She knows she has to. But she also needs to have her fun at some point" Mom said.

"Okay...I'm getting a boyfriend"

"Young lady! Don't try that with me" Dad glared

We all laughed at him.

"I'm kidding. All men are a waste of time" Temi said then realized what she said. She covered her mouth with her hand gasping.

"I don't think I'm a waste of time" Dad said

"I'm so...rry" she said but we all knew she was trying hard not to laugh

"Sis! Its 5:08 better go" Yinka said.

I looked at the time and lo and behold it was 5:09, I knew I should've gone since.

I quickly dashed out of the door, entering one of the cars and telling Mr. Kayode the address of the place I was going to.

We got there by 5:24 pm.

I quietly entered the building but can anything ever happen quietly without attracting attention in Nigeria? Everyone turned to look at me...including Tony.

I made my way to his table and sat down "I'm so sorry. I'm late" I said.

He nodded and kissed my hand "what do you want?"

"Uhhh pepperoni pizza? "

"That's too plain. I'm getting that chicken flavored one."

I shrugged. Nothing could ever go wrong with pepperoni. I also got Fanta to pair it with.

"So.....what do you want to do after college?" He asked.

I thought about it for a while....I actually wanted to be a lawyer but also an engineer at the same time, Publishing books were also a part of my dream. I know it was not the ideal thing to have science and Art at the same time...I didn't even know of it was allowed here.

"Uhh Yemisi?" Tony said snapping me out of my thoughts

"Yeah? Oh yeah! Um...its kind of complicated...I'm not so sure. I want to be a publisher, lawyer and engineer at the same time. So its weird. I've not really decided what to take away from the list"  I shrugged.

"If you really want to do the three of them then you can...though I'd recommend starting small...law and engineering are like the main thing from what you said...I don't really care about publishing. So I think you should focus on law and engineering more since they might take more energy and time. You can go into publishing as part time. Though I'm surprised you don't want to own a fashion line or something" he said.

"What?" I laughed.

"You know...most girls are always like.." He began, clearing his throat "oh I wanna own a fashion style....or fashion line...or whatever you call it. I wanna be a model..." He said imitating a girly voice.

I laughed at him "you have the wrong idea. Not all girls are the same. Y'all need to learn that. So what do you want to do after college?"

"Uhh I'm not even sure I'm going to college. I mean with my parents and all..I don't know what they're planning" he muttered. I reached out and gave his hand a big squeeze

"Have you spoken to then since you moved?" I asked.

"Not really....they've both been busy. Not really having time for me. not that I expected them to anyways" he shrugged

"Ahem! So uhh pineapples on pizza or cheese pizza?"

"Your way of changing topic isn't the best" he chuckled.

"You can't blame me. It was getting really awkward. So...pineapples or cheese on pizza?"

"Pineapples" he stated.

I scrunched my nose. What kind of human being is he? Who eats pineapples on pizza? Who eats toast in the evening??

"You're nasty" I said.

He smiled, amusement playing on his face. He all of a sudden poked my cheeks and then my forehead. I swatted his hand away "don't do that" I said sticking my tongue out.

"Don't do that" he mimicked.

I folded my arms and placed them on my chest which he of course, copied.

"Yeah! I was meaning to ask...why do you have pictures of me in your house?" I asked.

His eyes widened "you saw them?"

"Nah! My fairy godmother did and she decided to be a snitch and tell me" I said my words dripping with sarcasm.

"I don't know to be honest...you looked cute then..you always look cute by the way. So I decided to take them and frame it"

I swear my heart flipped like ten times. 

After I was halfway through with my pizza, Tony told me to be quick that we needed to go somewhere else, so I just carried the box and fanta outside. Turns out that somewhere was a park.

We played there for a while just like children would. I sat on the swing while he pushed me from the back and me trying to touch the sky.

A possible mission if you ask me.

Once we were done, we began to walk around the park hand in hand when he stopped all of a sudden

"You know I'm bad at speeches I mean....you know all those cliché speeches that boys give girls when they want to...ahem...so...basically...you've been really nice and great and mad at the same time. Sometimes stupid in a good and bad way....but it was all it took....for me to...like you. So I was wondering if you could be my girlfriend? Uhhhh...Ahem...I if you want to...its not a forceful ..thing...just that I would love it if you just say yes because I..."

"Yes" I said cutting off his rambling. He looked so cute just standing there and talking nonsense with shaky hands.

"Wait...really? For real!"

"Nuh uh. For fake" I said rolling my eyes.

He shook his head and ran to me lifting me off my feet, hugging me and kissing me at the same time.

Once he took his lips from mine, I raised up my pizza box and took a pizza from it. "Let's seal this up" I said. He shook his head in amusement "Thats why I say you're mad. Who uses pizza?"

"You don't want to be my boyfriend again ?" I asked raising a brow.

He took a bite from the pizza and I also took a bite. We then chewed at the same time.

"I hereby pronounce you husband and wife" we heard a voice say. We turned around to see Yinka and Temi, dressed in black with a black face cap and a black handkerchief around their neck. Two security men behind them.

"You followed us?" I asked in disbelief

"Couldn't help it" Temi shrugged.

"I told you, you guys would be together by the time you get home!" Yinka squealed.

"Why are there security men behind you?" Tony asked.

"Well...apparently...our behaviours were suspicious so they followed us. They found out we were following you so they grabbed us. and I got to explain to them that we knew each other.."
Yinka explained.

"So...our job is done?" one of the men asked.

"You kids should not be do in relationship things at your age...that is you'll get pregnant. You'll be jumping from prick to prick. Better call it off now" the other said and walked away.

"These people must be outta their mind. Something that just started they expect them to call it off as of they used his name to seal their relationship" Temi hissed.

"You all are mad" I said glaring at the both of them

Tony wrapped his hands around my waist and put his head on my shoulder kissing my neck

"Better stop this nonsense in front of us. PDA takes place in the room...I think its even in the constitution" Yinka said rolling her eyes.

"We can do it wherever we want" Tony said

"Okay? Why are you all making it seem as if we're having sex?!" I groaned. Honestly the people I'm surrounded with would probably kill me one day.

"Wear that thing fast...what is taking time?" My mom yelled from downstairs

I groaned trying hard to zip up the Ankara gown I was wearing.

"I can't zip it!" I shouted.

yinka bursted into my room "you're wasting time! Its already 8:30! Church is thirty minutes drive away you want us to miss Sunday School?" She said zipping up my dress. I sat down on the bed to wear my heels but she pulled me up.

"You'll wear it in the car. " she said dragging me.

"You cannot hurry up?! Can't you see that we're trying to get there before the main service starts?" Mom scolded as we all entered into the car. My dad started the car and we drove to church.

Today was Mr. Kayode's day off so he wasn't able to drive us.

It was exactly 9:04 when we got to church. And of course...we got the stares. Yinka, Temi and I immediately went to the Teenagers class while Mom and Dad went to the Adult church.

"Do you guys have the manual?" The teacher holding some books asked.

We shook our head in denial so she gave them to us.

She was basically teaching about the end times, Rapture, what was going to happen, the great tribulation and all. It scared me to think about what would happen if rapture took place right now and I wasn't among the good people Jesus would choose. Either because I had lied, stolen, committed crime or sin for that matter.

I imagined myself being tortured by the devil for seven years. A whole seven years....would it be something I could bear? Obviously not. God! It was so scary. But I guess we can avoid it by going by God's will and reading his word aka the bible so we get stronger in him.

After church service we went to KFC were we had brunch since we didn't eat in the morning. And we couldn't go home either, because Yinka had a photoshoot and she wanted us all to be present so we could also get a family photo.

To be honest, I loved the picture...it was something that I couldn't stop looking at, I even got them to send me the soft copy of it which I set as my wallpaper.
