As our hero Benjamin is awaking from his slumber he feels a bit of weight on him and he looks down to see a sleeping Ruby on his chest, ever since she encountered the Locust at Beacon she has been having night terrors.

Benjamin slowly gets up so he doesn't wake her or the squad, he throws on his armor and helmet and heads out the room and down the stairs and sees Tai sitting at the table pondering his thoughts.

Benjamin: Morning Tai, something wrong?

Tai glances over.

Tai: Oh morning Ben and no just hoping Yang will be ok with her cyber arm when it gets here since she lost her arm during the fall of Beacon, you were off handling Cinder but she found Blake being attacked by Adam but once Adam saw the Locust he ran and one charged at Yang and took her down..it ripped her arm off and tried to beat her with it but he was too late when your brother Clay found her, I just wanna thank you for saving her but I don't know how to repay you.

Benjamin lets this info sink in.

Benjamin: No worries on repaying it Tai, the Locust will pay in blood and thats a promise, they will know to never mess with your daughter when us Gears are around.

Tai: Thank you Benjamin, that is very reassuring, now why do you have your armor on? Going somewhere?

Benjamin: Oh just to check outside for anything, making sure we aren't being tracked by the Locust since they can use their sense of scent.

Tai: Well if any were here they'd be dead by now right?

Benjamin: Right plus we have our bot named Jack, he can set a alarm system to alert us if any Locust are nearby

Tai: Thats useful.

Benjamin: Indeed it is but I hope Blake is okay, and Weiss seemed a bit shaken up.

Tai: I haven't heard much news due to communications being out in our area, But Team JNPR wanna head out to Haven to help out over there and they asked me if Ruby would wanna tag along til Yang is ready to go or your squad can go

Benjamin: Aah I don't know, my squad and I can help train Yang when her arm gets here

Tai: That is very true, also some teachers from Beacon should be stopping by here later on, Professor Port and Doctor Oobleck as well.

Benjamin: Would they have news on the reconstruction of Beacon?

Tai: Yes and they will be here just to relax and catch a break from it.

Benjamin: Thats understandable.

Benjamin hears a footstep above him.

Tai: That sounded like Ruby

Benjamin: You can tell?

Tai: Sure I can, her little footsteps are quieter compared to Yangs

Benjamin: I never noticed the difference

Tai: You will someday, also it seems Ruby is quite fond of you, how she was cuddling you

Benjamin: She says the Locust gave her nightmares and she must have had one last night and cuddled me instead and felt safe and secure

Tai: Good..I was hoping she would get that feeling from you how she sees you combat them with no fear in your voice or movements just pure hate and killing intentions when the Locust show themselves

Ruby comes down the stairs in her usual attire.

Ruby: Morning Dad, morning Ben

Tai: Morning Rubes

Benjamin: Morning Ruby, sleep well cuddling me?

Ruby instantly blushes and looks down

Ruby: Actually...ya..ya I did

Tai: Aww haha

Benjamin: Aww Ruby its ok i know you had a night terror

Ruby: How did you know?

Benjamin: You said "No don't eat me!"

Tai: Do they really eat people?

Benjamin: No they don't

Then more footsteps are heard

Tai: Sounds like everyone else is up

Ruby: Breakfast time?

Tai: Ya lemme get it started, also Ruby team JNPR is wondering if you wanna tag along with them to Haven, they told me to ask you when you woke up.

Ruby: Sure I will join em, where are they?

Tai: They said they would take a walk and would return in a few.

Ruby: Just a walk around Patch?

Tai: Ya, they should be on their way back now.

A knock is heard on the front door.

Dom: I got it

Dom opens the door.

Jaune: Oh hey Dom

Dom: Hey Jaune, Ren, Nora, Pyrrha

Dom signals them in.

Ruby: Jaune when do you plan on heading out?

Jaune: Anytime when you're ready Ruby.

Ruby: Ok, but would you wanna join us for Breakfast guys?

Jaune looks back at his team.

Nora: Is there pancakes?

Jaune: Or waffles?

Ren: Yes we would love to join you.

Pyrrha: And thank you for having us.

Tai: You are very welcome.

Then Yang comes down the stairs and sees everyone

Yang: Oh morning everyone

Delta squad: Morning Yang

Tai: Morning firecracker

Ruby: Morning sis

JNPR: Morning Yang.

Benjamin: I am gonna step out side for a bit, lemme know when food is ready

Dom: You got it.

Yang: May I join you Ben?

Clayton: Oooh Benjamin

Yang glares at Clayton.

Clayton: Oh is that Bacon I smell? Oooh bacon..

Baird: Man...3 weeks without bacon...

Cole: Really Baird?

Ben and Yang step outside onto the porch and sit on the stairs.

Benjamin: So how are you feeling?

Yang: Aside from being terrified of your world enemy I actually feel pretty good now that I am talking to you

Benjamin: Well I am glad you feel that way Yang, but I mean about your arm as well..

Yang: I will make it, its healing

Ben looks out towards the trees.

Yang looks out in the same direction.

Ben then looks at her.

Benjamin: Yang listen, I know your feelings towards me..

Yang: Who told you? Was it Ruby?

Benjamin: You made it obvivious.

Yang: Right...I'm sorry

Benjamin: Don't be, I actually find it kinda cute how you were acting.

Yang blushes.

Yang: Well Ruby feels the same towards you, Blake does too

Benjamin: Well thats new but Weiss?

Yang: I think she will want your brother.

Benjamin: I can see why, I mean look at that beast

Yang: I don't care about his strength, I care about your character, personality ya know?

Benjamin: I see..well I can say this, remember when we were sparring in class?

Yang: heh ya what about it?

Benjamin: Remember when I was aiming at you with my sniper?

Yang: Ya?

Benjamin: I was looking at your chest through the scope

Yang: I knew it, you naughty soldier.

Benjamin snickers inside his helmet.

Benjamin: So you won't kill me?

Yang: Nope. Cause I love you.

Benjamin: i love you too Yang.

Ben and Yang hug and Tai comes out to tell them food is ready but slowly shuts the door to let them have their moment.

Yang: Your armor is cold

Benjamin: Well it is made of steel

Yang: No I thought it was fabric

Benjamin: Smartass..

Yang: Tin Man

Cole peeks out.

Cole: Aww ain't that cute

Dom comes up behind him.

Dom: Like two assholes on their first date

Cole laughs.

Ben and Yang both laugh together and join the others in breakfast.

After their hefty meals team JNPR with Ruby set out for Haven to see Headmaster Lionheart, Delta squad with Tai stay back to help Yang out with her cyber arm.

Tai: Alright Yang lets see how you do against Delta which is still not color

Baird: Ok we get it

Baird and Dom along with Marcus and Clay and Ben all surround Yang with their rifles aimed at her with Dust rounds loaded.

Benjamin: Delta Fire at Will!

They all fire and Yang dodges and sprints towards Dom and quickly disarms him and kicks him down, then rushes to Marcus but is stunned by his shock rounds and then Baird hits her feet with fire as Ben hits her with explosive as Clay does the same and puts Yang down.

Tai: Holy crap...you guys are untouchable...you ok Dom?

Dom: Ya I'm good, hell of a kick though Yang.

Yang: Heh thanks, good shooting guys but one day I will get you.

Marcus: Just don't kill us

Yang: No promises Marcus

Tai: Well I gotta head to town to pick up somethings, anyone of you fellas care to join me? Maybe pick up some ammo for yourselves?

Benjamin: Tai is right we are gonna need ammo if we are gonna be fighting Grimm and the Locust but I doubt their people can make normal bullets..

Tai: That can be arranged if you got the blueprints or any directions for them

Clayton: True...or just give em a bullet and let them figure it out

Baird: Hey not a bad idea Clay

Tai: Well our guns are dust powered but I believe we also have normal bullets, for example Ruby's sniper rifle

Yang: True but their guns use powder from what I can tell

Baird: It's a similar design..maybe I can take a look and try to figure out how to make a weapon of ours converted to dust

Dom: um Baird?

Baird: Ya?

Cole: Ms.Goodwitch already beat you to it remember?

Baird: No shit...you're right I remember now...my bad.

Tai: Oh I better get going before it gets late

Benjamin: Cole, Baird go with Tai to buy some ammo for us, our money should be converted to their currency here and with ours being extremely rare they should just give a bumper cart of ammo.

Clayton: Its possible but Cole keep Baird in line would ya?

Baird: Hey!

Cole: Come on Baird we gotta go

Baird: Who are you? My mom!?

Tai and Cole and Baird walk away towards town.

Yang: So you guys are gonna help me train?

Benjamin: Ya that's what I told your father.

Yang: Awesome, lemme go get the arm on.

Marcus: This will be fun.

Benjamin: Oh ya no doubt.

Clayton: I told you would land a bombshell someday lil bro

Benjamin: Still wish Anthony was here with us...

Clayton: Hey it's ok, he is always with us in our hearts and minds

Marcus: Unlike the Locust they are out of sight and out of mind.

Dom: That is true, til they wanna ambush us instead.

Clayton: Hey don't jinx us man

Yang: Hey Benjamin, could you come here please?

Clayton: Keep it in your pants bro

Benjamin: Shut up.

Benjamin heads over to Yang and she shuts the door behind him.

Benjamin: What ya need?

Yang: Oh just wanna see your armor real quick is all

Benjamin: Why?

Yang: So I can paint my symbol on it

Benjamin: Where at exactly?

Yang: On your shoulder pad or maybe your chest plate, not sure yet.

Benjamin: Well alright just lemme know when you want to.

Yang: Okay *she smiles*

Tai and the others come back and Baird is driving a truck full of Ammunition.

Clayton: Holy shit Baird!

Baird honks the horn.

Baird: SPECIAL DELIVERY

Cole: Ya baby we got it all hahaha!

Tai: They also have my stuff in the truck but it was nice walk.

Yang: Well then...that should last you for awhile.

Tai: Well its dinner time, whose hungry

Dom: I can eat

Cole: Hell ya I second that

Marcus: I can go for seconds

Baird: Sounds good to me

Benjamin: I'm good for now but thanks though

Clayton: The hell is wrong with you boy

Benjamin: What? I'm not hungry, I wanna train myself a bit incase of any attacks.

Clayton: Alright I see your point

Yang: You sure Ben?

Benjamin: Ya I will be good

Yang: Alright.

So everyone goes inside and help Tai cook.

Benjamin practices taking cover and mantleing over obstacles and rifle training along with Chainsaw training and reloading practice.

Clayton comes out and watches him train.

Clayton: Have you gotten the reloading trick down?

Benjamin: Ya been practicing alot, just a bit difficult with a Retro Lancer though but I'll manage.

Clayton: Lemme know if you ever wanna learn a trick or two ok?

Benjamin: Sure thing bro.

Clayton: Everyone else is getting ready to turn in, Yang wants to see you before she goes to sleep

Benjamin: Alright let her know I will be a bit.

Clayton: Of course "squad leader"

Benjamin: Thats an order "Grub Killer"

Clayton: Of course sir.

Yang comes out and watches him go through Retro Lancer stabs and slashes.

Benjamin goes over to her and plops down next to her.

Yang: Tired?

Benjamin: Just a bit..aren't you tired?

Yang: I am but I was also waiting for you so I know I will be safe and secure knowing the Locust are around here now.

Benjamin: I will always protect you Yang, no matter the enemy or the risk.

Yang hugs him.

Yang: Come on, lets get some sleep Tin Man, we got a big day ahead of us.

Benjamin: How so?

Yang: Dad is gonna have you cut some lumber with your chainsaw bayonets

Benjamin: Seriously?

Yang: haha no, but you and the squad still gotta train me.

Benjamin: True, but if Baird can convert your weapon to ours then you can stand a chance against any locust.

Yang: That would be perfect

Benjamin: Like you said lets get some sleep.

The two get up and head inside as Delta are already asleep and so is Tai, Yang has Benjamin hug her goodnight and he goes to his bed to sleep, he feels happy here but also he needs to help them since now the war has spreaded to the planet of Remnant.
