Ease of Play
The game is fairly easy to control, but inputting some complex commands can be confusing, but once learned, they become easier to perform.
The controls cannot be mapped to other buttons.
Some monsters are harder to defeat than others, as are some puzzles.
Spiritual Content
Characters refer to an in-game goddess called "Hylia," as well as some dragons being named after three other in-game goddesses from previous Zelda titles.
A ridable creature called "Lord of the Mountain" is present, which appears to be a spirit. Other spirit animals are present.
Fairies are present in the game. There are Great Fairies that resemble gigantic human women that upgrade Link's armor.
Monks that give "Spirit Orbs" inhabit shrines. Spirit Orbs can be given to Hylia to increase Link's health bar or stamina.
Zelda has special powers that allow her to seal a dark, demonic force.
A Blood Moon resurrects defeated monsters. This functions to keep the world teeming with enemies.
The fallen Champions appear as ghosts in their animal-themed mechs, called "Divine Beasts", where Link must slay the dark monsters who defeated them.
Sexual Content & Other Suggestive Themes
The Great Fairies show cleavage. In addition, when upgrading Link's armor, the Great Fairy will display varying levels of affection, depending on how powerful she is making the armor. The first upgrade sees her blow Link a kiss, the second has her kiss her finger and tap Link's face, the third upgrade has her pucker her lips repeatedly and lean in towards Link and kiss his face (it is not shown on screen, and Link tries to back away from her), and the fourth and final upgrade has the Great Fairy grab Link, squeeze him against her face, and drag him into her home with him.
A few characters are referenced to be drunk by their dialogue and actions, but is never explicitly stated.
Some minor character dialogue makes underplayed references to mild sexual themes.
Some side quests involve Link aiding in providing food items that are suggested to be either alcoholic or addictive.
A race of people called the Gerudo are a tribe of all women. To infiltrate them, Link must cross-dress in Gerudo garb. Their clothes are not explicitly suggestive, but show their stomachs.
The Zora, a race of anthropomorphic fish/shark people, do not typically wear clothes. However, their appearance is not sexually suggestive. The same goes for Gorons, a race of bulky creatures that can curl up into a boulder.
It cutscenes, Zelda's pants are a little tight in her rear area.
There are collectibles called "Korok Seeds" that are used to expand Link's inventory. These are suggested to be tiny poops.
