Chapter 3: So Dull Well I Thought
Cadee's POV
I'm skipping our way to the library. I guess he got irritated.
"Cadee stop."he said grabbing my arm.
I sighed. "So boring." I said pulling my arm away.
He glared at me and crossed his arms. "You're not a little kid."he said.
"So that means I can't enjoy life and have fun?" I said and he walked past me.
"Fun?"he said.
I stared at his back as he walked. Has he never had fun? How old is this guy anyway. I don't know a lot about Mr. Reed but I did learn a few things about him today. One is that he can't cook. Two he's definitely not a morning person so waking him up will be dangerous. I smiled as I skipped to his side.
"How old are you?" I asked.
"How old do you think I am?"he asked still looking forward.
The younger the better but too young he'll think I'm trying to get something. Besides old people these days look like me.
"Thirty nope twenty-seven." I said and his eye twitched as he looked at me.
What, not young enough?
"I'm twenty-two."he said looking at me now with his eye twitching.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry." I said bowing repeatedly.
"Do I really look that old."he murmured as he walked away looking like he was about to fall.
"Mr. Reed I'm sorry!" I said running to him and helping him get his balance again. "It's just these days old people look so young. I'm sorry." I said.
"How old are you?"he asked.
"How old do you think I am?" I asked.
I mean come on. He knows I'm in college.
"Five."he said walking further ahead again.
Excuse me?!
"I am not five!" I pouted.
"You act like you are."he murmured.
"At least I can cook." I said and he slapped both of my cheeks.
"Doesn't mean anything. It matters if you can cook good."he said and my eyes widen.
"Are you saying my cooking doesn't taste good?!" I hissed.
He smirked and my eyes widen. He smirked?
"I could be saying that."he said and he walked up to the library and opened the door.
"Thank you." I whispered as he held the door for me.
"Don't act like a five year old in here."he said and I growled lowly.
Reading was boring the heck out of me. Don't get me wrong reading is great but....in the library it's boring. I sigh as Mr. Reed flips a page.
"What's your first name?" I asked curious.
He didn't answer he just flipped another page. (¬_¬) Of course. He does this when he writes too. I took the book out of his hands and closed it. He glanced at me and glared.
"What?"he said sounding aggravated as he went through his hair.
"You don't even know what I asked you do you?" I said putting the book to the side.
"No."he said vaguely and I fell out my chair dramatically.
"How could you not?" I said a little bit louder now back in my seat earning shushes from people.
"I was focused."he said. "And when I'm focused I usually don't pay attention to little things around me."he said and then he smirked.
Li-little?! Is he saying I'm not important? Or is he talking about my height?! Either way it's offense.
"Are you talking about my height?" I asked with slanted eyes.
"You are a bit short for a nineteen year old."he said opening another book.
Oh no I'm nine-teen. "Well maybe you're just too tall." I said.
"Heh."he said.
And there he goes laughing at me. "Anyway I asked what your first name was." I said annoyed.
He glanced at me then looked back at the book. "Reed."he said flipping a page.
"Pshh." I bit my lip. "Reed Reed?" I asked biting my lip trying to hold in the laugh.
"Yes."he said.
"Ahahahahahaha!" I couldn't hold it anymore. I ignored the shushes I got. "Who would name their child that?!" I laughed some more.
But then something was standing over me. I gulped as I looked at the pissed off Reed lol. But he looked scary.
Then he smirked devilishly. My face darken. Oh no.
