They say something is wrong
With her
That she's mad
Or maybe she does this on purpose.

She just sits there in the corner
Looking at nothing
Humming to herself
Sometimes strumming her guitar
If the teacher is not looking

She never speaks
She writes in a black
Spiral notebook
That no one dares to touch

She goes to the quiet
Little coffee shop
And buys herself a coffee
That she never drinks.

And sits in a corner
Reading a book
Flipping the pages
A smile on her lips.

I sit and watch her sometimes
Hoping to catch her eye
Wondering if she knows
I'm in her class.

But today I get up
Go to her
Buy her another coffee
Her green eyes look up curiously
And go back to the book.

I tell her I've read
The book she's reading
And if she wants more,
She can come to my house
Take as many as she wants.

And she says thanks
I take her hand in mine
It fits perfectly
It is smooth and tiny.

She smiles at me
A beautiful smile
And just like that
I fall in love.
