IF YOU'RE BULLSHIT, I'M BULLSHIT

biography

At the age of eleven, Armani's world was flipped upside down. She could barely show her face in public, much less survive the terror that was junior high. One day, she was Armani Newby 'Royal Cutie' and the next she was 'the girl you need to stay away from.'

Armani was always liked in school. Since she was young, she knew how to play well with others and how to make them laugh. As time went on and the children grew, her skills and politeness did too, as well as her intelligence and savviness in technology thanks to her father. She was certainly panned out to grow up and be a nerdy teacher who was too nice for her own good. She loved science, technology, light colors, and all things sugar and spice.

Her first year at Junior High was ruined, by her parents. Her mother was exposed on adultery, and left her family during the dark hours of the night. That was when Armani's father, Robert Newby, began to take up the role of both a mother and a father. That was when the kids began to think maybe Armani wasn't cut out to be one of them.

Rumors spread quickly, and as hormonal as junior high students are, they were nasty. People spoke about why Armani's mother left, and how the girl coped with it, including the 'fact' that things like that were genetic. The disgusting words on their lips stained Armani's reputation, as well as her spirits.

She managed to make a new friend, a girl who had moved in next door from somewhere global and distant. The friend never seemed to care about the way people spoke about Mani. She instead made sure to help Armani learn to ignore the other people and their lies. Playing off of Armani's now tired and sarcastic personality to help her become stronger.

Her only friend, Sage Brown, stayed right beside Armani for the years to come. Once High school came upon the teens, things seemed to change for the better. Tommy and Carol took an interest on the two, and soon they became friends. Their whole group, along with Steve, the 'king' of the school, seemed untouchable.

Armani and Steve had a good friendship, they were always spending nights with the others at Steve's place, but the two naturally gravitated towards one another. The feelings seemed to be there, at least that's what anyone looking from the outside would say. Armani couldn't help her feelings, and soon enough her heart raced for the basketball playing teenager. Although her attraction seemed realistic, and maybe even returned, it was soon proved unrequited. Steve instead took towards Nancy Wheeler, leaving the already alone teenager feel even more so.

(NEXT PART CONTAINS SPOILERS TO 'SWORD')

Armani's father, Bob Newby begins dating Joyce Byers, causing stress in the teenage girl who is opposed to the change. Mani doesn't get along well with Jonathan Byers, but can't do much about it without hurting her father. She spends almost the whole year in a bad mood, not attempting to get close to any of the Byer's except for Will.

Soon, Armani learns from Steve Harrington that Barbara Holland's disappearance was caused by supernatural events, and even speaking about it could get Steve and Nancy Wheeler in trouble. Feeling eerie about his conversation with Nancy, Armani tries to get the idea out of her mind while also battling the unwanted attention of Billy Hargrove and her rooted feelings for Steve.

The Halloween party turns alot of things around. Nancy Wheeler get's so drunk she admits to not loving Steve, he in turn takes a drunk Armani home, who was pestering Jonathan by calling him a stalker. On the way to Armani's, Steve hears Armani claim she's a second choice to himself and her father. Realizing her potential feelings, Steve feels better than he did before. Once at Armani's place, he realizes Bob isn't home, and decides leaving Armani alone wouldn't be safe. Steve stays, sleeping with Armani in her room.

Once awake, Armani freaks out when she realizes she's at home instead of with the Byers, her father and Chief Hopper show up, creating tension in Steve as he tries to explain why he was at the house with her. Steve and Armani go to school, his day is spent arguing with Nancy, and her's is spent worrying about the tales of a place called the upside down and a monster eating Barb that Steve told her on the way to school.

Her father promises to take her out on a trip to make up for neglecting her. Armani is beyond ecstatic, but when Bob changes plans and instead wants to head over to the Byer's to care for a sick Will. Armani is becomes upset, and lashes out at her father before locking herself in her room. Bob leaves with one last 'I love you' before heading off to the Byer's, telling Armani that she should go out somewhere.

Armani calls Steve, who takes her along with him to a florist as he prepares to apologize to Nancy Wheeler. At Nancy's, the two run into a frazzled Dustin Henderson, who needs help with a problem at his house. He explains the problem, shocking Armani even more with his tales of a "lizard who's face opens up."

Once at the house, Steve hands Armani a bat with barbed wire around the end, taking one with nails in it for himself. The three prepare for the lizard like monster, but find only the skin, as well as a hole on the wall that goes as far as they can see. Armani, finally mostly believing the other's stories, is worried for her fathers sake. They spend the night at Armani's house, and she attempts to call Joyce's with no avail.

Armani, Steve, and Dustin take a day long hike to get to an abandoned junkyard, where they are going to attract the monster (Dart, a demodog), and hopefully kill it. Two other kids, Lucas and Max, join the three. As they await and night comes, Demodogs attack them. Steve steps out and tries to kill Dart, Armani steps out to help, despite Steve's oppositions. soon it's made clear there's more than one demodog, and they end up fighting the monsters, barely making it to the bus in time. The monsters attack the bus, but are called away somewhere else.

The group follow the dogs, Armani and Steve's affections become more prominent, and they even hold hands. Stumbling finally upon the Lab, Armani realizes her father is in there. Unable to get in, she talks to him through a walkie-talkie, that shortly after cuts out. Running inside the lab after the gate opens, Armani finds herself in the arms of Joyce Byers as her father is killed, ripped apart, by demodogs.

Once back at the Byer's, Armani mourns by her father alone. She lashes out at Chief Hopper, blaming him for Bob's death. Armani is later joined by an also mourning Joyce Byers, who helps the teen up so they can help the others.

Inside the shed made to interrogate Will Byers, Armani tells a story to him about when they first met. They find out they need to close the gate, but soon after they hear DemoDogs approaching. Everyone runs inside and prepares to fight, only to their surprise does Eleven appear.

The group splits into teams. Armani is left with Steve, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and Mike at the Byers home, where a plan is quickly made to set fire to the underground tunnels the Demodogs use. Steve rejects the idea, and is telling everyone so when a car engine is heard.

Billy Hargrove steps out of his car, looking for Max. Steve is quick to lie for Max, but doesn't count of Billy
