Story Title : MaithiliVeda: The Silent Chronicles of Ages Untold
Log line : An archaeologist whose obsession begins from the palace and ends with her.
Premise/Blurb : In the 22nd century, Vedaitya Samarth Malhotra, an archaeologist tormented by the vision of a long-lost princess and the secrets of MaithiliVeda palace, embarks on a journey that will challenge everything he knows. Sent away from India by his family, concealing their own dark past, he finally enters the elusive palace — only to find himself in the cursed chamber of Princess Maithili. From the 8th century, she has waited, her soul bound to a love lost in time. But this is no fairy tale, and she's no damsel in distress.
Maithili reveals to Vedaitya that she is cursed, unable to be seen or touched by anyone. But Vedaitya... he sees her. He touches her. How is it possible?
As Vedaitya's growing obsession with Maithili turns into a forbidden love, he uncovers a love story centuries old — a tale of betrayal, destiny, and Shrivigya Adyant, a king whose name has been erased from history.
With every step he takes toward Maithili, the stakes rise, and the curse grows darker. As danger closes in and history threatens to repeat itself, Vedaitya must uncover the truth — or risk losing Maithili and himself to a fate sealed centuries ago.
In a world where time has no mercy, Vedaitya must confront the impossible. But the more he unravels the tangled threads of the past, the more he risks losing everything — including himself.

The trope that you have chosen is rapidly getting popular amongst Indian authors and we have seen such tropes in Chinese novels predominantly. Your unique way of portraying a male transmigration concept was what lured the readers. How did you come up with the idea? What was your inspiration?
If I'm being honest, when I first began writing this book, I had no idea about the trends or the tropes that were taking over the literary world. And as unbelievable as it may sound, I didn't even know that this concept was gaining momentum, especially in Chinese novels. The only Chinese dramas I've watched are Love O2O and Hello, Mr. Right— and I wouldn't say they influenced the story in any way.
It was a night, much like any other, but somehow different. I was sitting in my chamber, alone with my thoughts, when this idea came as naturally as a heartbeat. I didn't plan it, didn't consciously craft it— it simply found its way to me, like an old friend I had been waiting for, without even realizing it.
As for inspiration? It's something so simple, yet so vast. It was love. Love in its purest, most selfless form. Not the love that binds us only to another, but the love that connects everything.
In the end, that's what this story is about—love— the kind that stays with you, even in the quiet moments, even when you don't know it's there. And perhaps, that's why it resonates with readers. Because it's not just a story— it's a feeling, an echo of something we all carry within us.
Do your characters have any traits inspired from real people? If so, who?
To answer your question, no, they aren't inspired by real people. But maybe they're inspired by something even more profound— the beauty of a world that exists in our hearts, where love, strength, and dreams have no limits.
Please enlighten us briefly about the character development of your main leads. As the story is ongoing, where and how do you see your characters in the next few chapters?
Revealing too much might spoil the thrill, but I can assure you, in the upcoming chapters, there will be a transformation unlike anything we've seen so far.
For Maithili, her strength has always been present— subtle, but undeniable. Though it will now unfold on a much larger stage. As for Shrivigya, well... things are about to change for him too. I can't say too much, but his journey has always been one of emotional depth, and in the coming chapters, his deepest fears will be laid bare.
It's not just about love anymore, it's about sacrifice, understanding, and letting go of relations he's clung to. His growth will be significant, but bittersweet, as their paths are about to diverge.
Is there any iconic scene from your story that you can imagine yourself instead of the female lead and would have reacted differently, maybe changing the flow?
Oh, that's a question I can't even imagine myself answering. To think of stepping into Maithili's shoes? No, that's a definite "no-no" from me. Shrivigya, well, he's hers, and to even entertain the thought of what if is something I can't do. But, if I were to meet someone like Shrivigya in real life... that would be a different story.
I'd want to live every moment just like Maithili does, to feel that kind of love— raw, genuine, pure— that floods your soul in ways words can't capture. I guess you could call me greedy. Yes, maybe a little, because those moments? They would make your heart burst. Literally. With every glance, every word, every breath, I would want to take it all in and hold it close. To feel that kind of connection would be a lifetime of bliss in a single second.
But as for changing the flow? I wouldn't dare. Maithili and Shrivigya's love is perfect as it is— every word, every action, every twist. And honestly? I'm just happy to watch it unfold from the sidelines.
Do you have any favorite romance story/stories on wattpad? And if so what you learned from it as a writer? Did they help you to polish your skills?
That's an interesting question! To be honest, I've dabbled mostly in modern romance, particularly the forbidden kind.
For me, it's never about picking a favorite, because each one has something unique to offer. But "Echoes: Beyond Threads of Time"— that one just stayed with me, you know? It's a story that I truly appreciated for the depth and emotion it conveyed.
As for learning and polishing my own craft— well, I think it's a constant, slow process. Writing is not just about learning words, it's about learning to feel them, to live them. Every story, every paragraph, every line I write teaches me something. And as a writer, I've learned mostly from my mistakes. That's where growth lies. Mistakes, missteps— they lead to the real breakthroughs.
And to every writer out there— don't ever feel discouraged. Your stories are all amazing in their own right. Just keep going, because each one of you is creating something powerful.
There are many qualities of the main leads that engage the readers and they admire them. Can you describe some grey shades on each of your characters that describe them and shape their character towards development?
I wouldn't exactly call them 'grey shades,' but rather qualities that stem from their deep emotional complexity.
For Shrivigya and Maithili, while admirable for their strength, are too forgiving at times, which leads them to trust people who don't always deserve it. Their journey is about learning to discern who truly deserves their trust, and how to protect themselves without losing their compassion.
As for Vedaitya, we've seen his temper issues in the earlier chapters. His quick anger and impulsive reactions have caused him trouble, but as the story unfolds, he'll learn to manage and channel his emotions better, ultimately growing from those moments.
The rest of their development will, of course, unfold as the story progresses.
Something about shaping and writing about your supporting characters of the story and their importance.
Supporting characters are not just mere additions to this story.. In a way, they shape the lives of the protagonists, and even push them toward their destinies.
Take Aryaman, Shauryaditya, or even Shrivigya's uncle, for instance— each of them is irreplaceable in the flow of this story. Their presence may not always be in the limelight, but their impact is undeniable.
No one thought that Shauryaditya and Aryaman were identical twins, yet their complex bond, filled with secrets and depth, has become one of the most talked-about aspects of the story. Their development has allowed readers to connect on a deeper level, understanding their motivations and struggles.
And then last but not the least, how can we forget Maithili's family, especially her father? Readers have had quite a lot to say about him, haven't they? His presence, his decisions, and the way he shapes Maithili's world cannot be overlooked.
They don't just impact the story— they breathe life into it. 🤍
Can you give a few tips to our writers for improving their work?
Me? Honestly, I'm probably the last person you should be asking for advice. What one person might see as "bad," someone else could see as a masterpiece. There's really no one-size-fits-all when it comes to writing.
But, if I could offer a little nugget of wisdom, it would be this: trust your readers. Those who believe in your story when you're doubting it— that's who you owe it to. Never take them for granted. Finish what you started, even if it doesn't reach the heights of popularity you imagined. It's not about the recognition; it's about finishing the journey.
As for improvisation, I think the more raw and real the story feels, the more people connect to it. Of course, unless you're writing something factual or educational— then there's a different set of rules. But when it comes to stories, let the imperfections show. Sometimes the flaws are what make it unforgettable.
And for love stories— please, don't rely on the whole cheating partner trope. Sure, some may say it makes it real, but stories should still give people hope and trust. There's already enough dishonesty in the world; let the stories be a place where that's not the focus.
Just stay true to your heart. Don't follow a formula. If it makes your heart smile, trust me, it'll make someone else's too. 🤍
Thank you for your time!
