Christmas Party came and all are having fun sitting and talking nonstop with each other.

I was seated with my department mates and I can see Leonard sharing intimate laughter with a few ladies at the far corner of the venue.

Fortunately, we were able to decorate the venue with the help of our team regardless of their respective assignments.

I looked away when he probably must have felt my eyes boring into him.

"Hey. Eyes here. Quit staring, girl. You're being too obvious." Rem hissed at me and I automatically rolled my eyes at him and slapped his arm playfully.

Aside from Serena, Rem is the guy I am closest with.

Maybe because, we got hired on the same day and we became instant best friends.

Before they even match me up with Leonard, it was Rem who first got the attention of the crowd.

For a guy, Rem is also an exception.

With a towering height and his blue eyes, his American genes stood out.

Apart from that, he also has this boy-next-door look that mothers usually love.

He's cute demeanor makes me want to take him home.

Don't get me wrong, what me and Rem have are purely platonic.

More like sibling love.

"You guys are getting serious there, huh." Lui nudged my elbow as she sat on my right side.

I am now seated between them.

"Take a look at Leonard. Damn. He's really the apple of everyone's eyes ever since he set foot here." Lui remarked and that gave me the cue to look at the guy who was now eating chicken wings with the ladies he was talking to earlier.

I just nodded in approval and Rem returned to his seat.

Rem brought two paper plates filled with foods.

"Aww.. You shouldn't have, Rem." Lui said sweetly and tucked a strand of her hair beneath her ear. She even batted her eyelashes at him and Rem  frowned.

"Get your own. This is for Des." Rem said and it was Lui's turn to frown.

"I hate you." Lui said and glared at Rem. "I'll just help myself for some food. Save this seat for me, Des. Be right back!"

With that said, Lui stormed off to the buffet table.

I grinned at Rem and he grinned back.

"Here. Quit staring at the guy and feed your stomach." Rem said in a serious tone.

"Yes, dad." I joked and twirled on a spaghetti noodle with my fork before bringing it to my mouth.

We continued observing the people coming in and out of the area.

Lui returned with a plate full of foods and dessert.

"Geez. Such a glutton." Rem mumbled and Lui heard it and shot her a glare.

"How are you, guys? Hope you're feeling full coz in a couple of minutes, we'll be having our much awaited raffle prizes!" The male host, Ivan, I think, announced and we yelled in excitement.

Lui continued on with her food and ignored the Ivan's announcement.

Rem, on the other hand, continued teasing her as well.

I wonder if Rem ever developed feelings for Lui.

Rem constantly destroy's Lui's chirpy aura every time they met.

I shook my head and smiled at the thought.

I wonder why that scenario looks familiar to me.

"Now that all of us are settled and no plates are seen on your tables, shall we begin with the first round of raffle prizes?" Ivan asked and the employees nodded and answered in response. "Great! Jessa  can you please place the box of all the employees' names here between me and Dana? In a few seconds, you are about to get your dream car!"

The crowd laughed at his joke while Jessa politely placed the box on the table between them at the stage.

"Alright! For our first raffle prize, who wants some pocket wifi? Of course, we all want it!" Ivan exclaimed, his free hand already inside the box. "But, only one person, is lucky enough to be chosen! And that is... Drum roll please!" He joked and our sounds assistant obliged. Ivan opened the folded paper and revealed the person's name. "Luisa Custodio!"

Luisa's bored eyes widened and looked at me.
"Did I hear it right? He called me?" She asked, flabbergasted.

"Are you there, Miss Custodio?" Ivan asked and the employees turned around to look for her. "Come and get your prize! Else, I will be willing to take it or have it raffled again!" He commented and Lui stood up with a bright smile pasted on her face. "There you are! Looking so lovely in your red skirt!" He grinned at her which made the crowd whistled and teased them and I could hear Rem muttering nonsense comments about her.

I can't help not to laugh.

It was so obvious that he is jealous and has feelings with Lui!

This is getting really exciting!

My best buddy will have the love of his life sooner than I expected!

Ivan continued calling out the lucky winners and then announced that parlor games will be administered before the gift-giving per department starts.

Much to my dismay, I was called out as one of the participants for the newspaper dance.

I did not want to spoil the moment so I tried to be a good sport so I stood up to the stage.

Luckily, I was wearing cycling shorts beneath our red skirt.

We had our annual production number earlier at the start of the programme so I did not bother to change.

All of us girls, did not bother to.

I was all smiles when I got up there when Ivan announced the name of my partner.

I turned to face him.

It took me a lot of courage not to pinch his ears.

Leonard was smiling like a fool when he got up to the stage with me.

"Go Team!" We heard Serena along with our colleagues hollered from the audience. "Do the boogie!"

Her last statement earned laughter from our table and other employees.

My face instantly turned red with embarrassment and we just stood there like fools.

"Let's see who will win this paper dance! Prize will be five thousand! Good luck sweethearts!" Ivan said and the game began.
