Main OC's

here are my main characters that i'll be using in either my books, roleplays or in a collab [still waiting on that permission to post drakon rjlxpin lol]

Arthella Dianne Carter

I have to say, Thea is one of my favorite characters that I have written because she has so much depth and I've actually taken time to think about her character design and all that stuff. The basics you probably know if you read my books at all but here is just a quick overview of her. If you didn't already know it, in Nightingale, she splits herself into three: the student, the doctor, and the shopkeeper. You can call this like a time remnant for all the DCCW fans out there.

Thea is a very sensitive character, who acts like nothing affects her but is actually drowning in her own guilt inside. She has so much power but doesn't want to waste it or put it to the wrong cause, and this often causes the energy build up to not just mentally pain her, but physically as well. She's the kind of girl who's insecure and doesn't let anyone near her because she's either scared she'll hurt them or scared they'll find out how she truly feels inside. That, and with her PTSD from 6 years of torture means that she's actually mentally unstable.

I haven't really written much about her mental instability in Destiny Calls and Worlds Collide, because Nightingale is supposed to be not just writing about how she wants to heal the world from the impurities like Tom, it's also about healing herself even if she doesn't want to and it's dangerous, and her overall instability is sort of the main problem in it.

Just a quick fact about the meaning of her name, Arthella is a healer, while Thea (or Theia) is the mother of Helios and Selene. Sylvia is very similar to the word silver which I often connotate Thea with, and it means 'of the forest', so her name as Sylvia Hunter means 'hunter of the forest.' Dianne is obvious named after Diana, Artemis's Roman form.

Name: Arthella Dianne Carter // Sylvia Hunter // Dianne Chase
Nicknames: Thea, Thelle, Hella, Arthelle, Via, Di
Age: 22 // 15 // 27
Appearance: Black curls, tanned skin, silver eyes, white streaks through her hair // Auburn straight hair, pale skin, blue-gray eyes // Blonde neck-length hair, tanned skin, green eyes
Books that she stars in: Destiny Calls, Nightingale, Worlds Collide

Teresa Hunter

This character was originally created for one of my own Pokemon fanfics from ages ago (how I cringe now) and I changed to suit Ruby's book Drakon (that I might as well get author rights as well even though it's her story). Terris is usually portrayed as a scholarly type figure, and her name means 'harvester', but I wrote her so that it meant 'reaper', since she was the nerd who wasn't afraid to lash out.

In Ruby's book Drakon, I liked to write her as that grouchy sarcastic one that seemed like the show-off know it all but has that flair for creativity even in a medieval society. Since she's half water dragon, she's incredibly flexible and is normally very accepting of everyone and there aren't that many people that she actually hates, except for Celesté. She hates snobs in general, and although she's not normally the kind of hands dirty girl, she will still dig through dirt if she had to.

Name: Teresa Hunter
Nicknames: Terris
Age: 17
Appearances: Black curls (you'll soon realize I just love black curls), dark blue eyes, pale skin
Books that she stars in: Drakon, Aura Fading (that's never going to be published though even if I have several chapters already written)

Emma Hadley/ Al Qamar

Congratulations, me! I finally have a main blonde character, and just for the sake of it, her other persona is a black-curled vigilante. Emma's character is pretty complicated, since she doesn't actually have a name: Emma Hadley is just a persona she wanted herself to take upon to fit in. She's very flirty and looks like that typical blonde stereotype when actually she's incredibly intelligent with a very high IQ. However, she's not a sciency person, she's more of an artsy person, which contrasts with my previous two characters.

As Al Qamar, she's a star assassin that was chosen at the young age of 7 to infiltrate modern society, but her character, as I had said, is still pretty complicated and unclear and I haven't finalized her full backstory. I was thinking that she was actually stolen from her parents as a child and her DNA was infused with a green lantern ring that lay dormant until she was caught in the particle accelerator explosion. This DNA infusion goes to the same with the four other members of her team, with Seraphima getting Black Canary's DNA, Pallas getting Firestorm's DNA, Hannah getting Flash's DNA and Lyra getting Beast Boy's DNA.

Name: Emma Hadley/Al Qamar // Eclipse
Nickname: Em
Age: 22
Appearance: Straight blonde hair (platinum near the ends), grey eyes, tanned skin // Black curls, tanned skin
Books she stars in: Eclipse

Talia Esmeray Peritia

Okay. Talia is one of my newer characters, so she doesn't have much of a future and backstory yet, but I'll give an overview of what I want her to become. Talia has had a pretty harsh life, since she grew up in the painful world of aristocrats and royalty. But instead of learning how to be a housewife like the outer countries, she was taught up to be an assassin, a spy and the perfect lady by her parents the King and the Queen.

And I have trouble being a good student. She has a very twisted sense of justice, thinking that killing is always the option since her dark-gem abilities give her the skill to just rip the memories out her people's minds, and Shadow of Mind will be exploring how she copes when escapes her 'utopian parodise' into the even harsher countries out there, and how she finds out how twisted her life in the palaces have been.

I'm thinking that when she goes to Tegimen, she'll infiltrate the army and help fight against the Robans and the Manish soldiers, but then she'll meet this Mulan-typed character on the battlefield, another woman that refuses to be obedient to her male superiors. And since Talia is lesbian, she'll be exploring her own sexuality as well in this warped reality. I don't have very much on her, but I hope after I finish Thea's story I can start focusing on all the other ones.

Her name is pretty complicated and I actually took time in thinking about her name. Talia means 'dew of god' which is ironic due to her abilities as a dark-gem being the complete opposite of holy. Esmeray means dark, which reflects how she truly is inside, while Peritia means experienced or skill, since she is skillful. Peritia is also the name of the country, since their entire country is skillful and more advanced than the other ones.

Name: Talia Esmeray Peritia // Adrienne Prieto // Liam Prieto
Nickname: Tali, Lia // Rien, Adri // Li
Age: 17 // 19 // 19
Appearance: Black curls (surprise surprise), violet eyes, pale skin // [Long // short] brown hair, amber eyes, tanned skin
Books she stars in: Shadow of Mind

Grace Li-Xue Wong

This is also a rather new character, who doesn't even have a book yet poor girl, but I see a lot of potential for her in Winter Storm. Grace, or Glacia as she's known in a very racist but true interpretation of how Chinglish accents sound like (I'm allowed to be racist about Asians and Chinese people because I am Chinese). Her roots are very ancient and historical, and talks alot about dragons and emperors and Ancient Chinese myths.

She's an ice dragon, and dragons are mostly weak to ice, so she's like a black sheep that's secretly a wolf. That didn't make any sense but oh well. But unlike my other characters who are openly badass and killers, she's secretly a thief since her mother's death (who she indirectly caused). My friends argue that she didn't need to be a thief since a doctor's wage is actually pretty high, but stealing for her is a bit like Robin Hood: she steals from the rich, not the poor.

Which all robbers do but hey I've never stolen anything illegally how am I supposed to know. She originally has a slight love interest in Mark, the popular hot guy in her year, but then he turns out to be a gay dork so that didn't happen. It's more about exploring Chinese culture than actual relationships and drama like that, so sorry for those who like drama. I hate drama.

Her name also has meanings (yay!). Grace is obvious, she's supposed to be that kind of serene and calm people, and she is at the beginning, just a silent peaceful nerd that no one knows about. Li-xue is Mandarin, and it basically means beautiful snow. Wong is NOT correlating with my own name, it's just simply to show that she is imperial.

Name: Grace Li-Xue Wong
Nickname: Glacia, Li li, Xiao Xue
Age: 16
Appearance: Asian, black wavy hair, small black eyes that glint blue at the edges sometimes, tanned yellow skin
Books she stars in: Winter Storm (not published, won't be in a long time)

I think that's it. Is it it? Am I missing anyone because if I am sorry I'm tired. If you want me to explain any of my characters just comment and who knows you can help me write up another character. Peace out!
