Chapter Twelve: Future Plans

"Taesung I'm definitely not in the mood."

Taesung raised an eyebrow, he hadn't heard Yoongi talk about Hoseok in awhile. Maybe...

"What's wrong?"

Yoongi sighed, rubbing his eyes as he sat up in bed. His little talk with Taehyung had been about a week ago, and he had yet to mention anything about it to Hoseok. He believed it was a mixture of not having enough time and not wanting the younger to worry about him in any way.

"Stress." He answered, wrapping his blanket around him and standing up. "But it's nothing really."

"Hyung we have a day off today, why don't you and I go out? You seem like you need to relax." Yoongi shook his head at Taesung's request, picking up his phone and sticking it inside the pocket of his sweatpants.

"I'm going out with Hoseok today. I haven't talked to him a lot lately which I feel really bad about." He sighed. "We need to catch up."

Taesung frowned, quiet for a moment before shrugging and flopping back down onto his bed.

"Alright fine. Have fun then."

--

"No matter how many times I open this door and you stand behind it, my heart will always flutter."

Hoseok grinned and pulled Yoongi into a hug, kissing his boyfriend's forehead and adjusting the glasses that rested on his face. "You look so tired." He frowned, cupping the older's face with his hand and tilting it upwards. "Have you been getting enough rest?"

Yoongi smiled softly and nodded, leaning into his boyfriend's touch.

"As much as I can." He shrugged, reaching up and ruffling the brunette's hair. "Stop worrying about me, I'm fine."

Hoseok rolled his eyes and dragged Yoongi into the apartment, closing the door behind them and sighing.

"Listen here Min, it's basically my job to worry about you. I'm not going to stop." The younger chuckled, sitting on the couch and turning on the TV as Yoongi wandered into the kitchen. "I just want to make sure that you're alright."

Yoongi looked over and giggled softly at the dramatic pout Hoseok had as his expression.

"Trust me, I'm fine." Yoongi laughed, walking over and kissing Hoseok's lips briefly before returning to the kitchen. "Hoseok where the hell is all the food?"

The younger turned around once more, raising an eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" He asked, Yoongi staring at him in disbelief.

"In this fridge," He began, "You have a grand total of one egg, and two bottles of water. How are you still alive?"

"You know I can't cook." Hoseok laughed, standing up and walking over to the older. "I haven't bothered to buy groceries because I've been eating a lot of takeout."

"Oh honey no.." Yoongi sighed, taking off his jacket and rolling up the sleeves of the long sleeved shirt underneath. "That's it. Change of plans. Today, Jung Hoseok, you're going to learn how to cook."

Hoseok raised an eyebrow, leaning against one of the cupboards.

"Oh really?" He asked, Yoongi nodding and pushing up the glasses that were falling down his nose.

"Yes. No excuses." He smirked. "You can't just live off of takeout while I'm gone."

"But why not?" The younger asked, his boyfriend rolling his eyes in response.

"Because you just can't. Put your shoes on, we're going grocery shopping."

--

"Yoongi is this really necessary?"

Hoseok raised an eyebrow as Yoongi unpacked all of the groceries he had recently bought, the older turning around and nodding.

"Extremely." Yoongi confirmed. "Next thing you know I'm getting a phone call with someone saying: 'Sorry sir but your boyfriend had a heart attack because all he ate was fucking cup noodles.'"

"Okay but tell me cup noodles are bad."

"Hoseok."

"Sorry."

Yoongi chuckled softly and rummaged around in the drawers until he found the knife he was looking for, handing a few vegetables to Hoseok.

"Wash these." He grinned, the younger sighing and nodding.

"What are we even making?" Hoseok's asked, watching and smiling as Yoongi filled a pot up with water and set it on the stove.

"Soup." The older smiled. "Because soup is easy as hell and I trust that you won't screw it up."

"No promises." Hoseok laughed, handing the vegetables back to his boyfriend.

"Actually no." Yoongi spoke. "You cut them up."

Hoseok shrugged and nodded, taking the knife from the older's hands and beginning to cut up some carrots. "Not like that! You're going to cut your finger off!" Hoseok raised an eyebrow at Yoongi's protest, halting his actions.

"This is how I've always cut up vegetables?" He giggled as the look of horror didn't leave his boyfriend's face. Yoongi sighed and leaned over Hoseok from behind, holding the younger's hand as he held the knife. "Oh hello there." The brunette giggled, noticing the close proximity between him and the older.

"Hi." Yoongi laughed, kissing the side of Hoseok's face briefly before continuing. "I'm guiding you."

"Alright." Hoseok nodded, smiling as Yoongi helped him cut up the vegetables in a safer fashion.

"See? No injuries."

"If I had an injury would you have kissed it better?" Hoseok wiggled his eyebrows and leaned against the counter, his boyfriend laughing softly and nodding. "Well, then my lips hurt all of a sudden."

Yoongi raised an eyebrow, smirking and crossing his arms.

"Oh really?" Hoseok nodded.

"Really. I don't know what happened but hey, you said if I had an injury..."

The older rolled his eyes before leaning forward and pressing his lips to Hoseok's, intertwining his fingers with the younger's. "Better?" He asked after pulling away, playing with the younger's hair and smiling.

"I mean I guess." Hoseok giggled, resting his hands on Yoongi's hips and swaying from side to side. "I've missed this." His sighed, the older's smile turning sadder as he nodded.

"Me too." Yoongi agreed, leaning forward and resting his head on Hoseok's shoulder.

"Hey, Yoongi?" The older hummed in response, Hoseok taking it as a cue to continue. "I'd like to marry you one day."

Yoongi slowly lifted his head from the younger's shoulder, looking at Hoseok with wide eyes.

"W-What?"

"Not now, this isn't a proposal." He chuckled. "Our schedules wouldn't allow for it now, just letting you know that one day, I would like for it to happen."

"When everything settles down?" Hoseok nodded. "We could have an actual house together." Yoongi grinned. "I'd like a dog too, that would be cool."

Hoseok giggled softly, nodding and playing with a few pieces of the older's hair.

"If you want a dog we could get a dog." He grinned, Yoongi returning the expression and leaning forward to press another quick kiss to his boyfriend's lips.

"I really do love you."

"I love you too."
