Chapter Thirteen: Solo
"Hoseok stop it.."
Yoongi pouted as he watched his boyfriend chuckled at him through his laptop screen, the younger making comments on how 'adorable' he currently looked.
"It's true!" Hoseok laughed, leaning away from the screen and running a hand through his hair. "You look like you've lost weight? Did they put you on a diet? Better not have..."
Yoongi shook his head, sighing and flashing a small grin to ease Hoseok's worries.
"They aren't, not yet at least." He answered, eyeing the door to his shared dorm room. Taesung had left for practice about ten minutes ago, and Yoongi was using the free time he had to his advantage. "Please don't worry."
"Hey, if you're allowed to pester me about only eating ramen, I'm allowed to worry about you alright?" The younger smiled softly, watching as a few strands of hair fell in front of his boyfriend's eyes. "And before you ask, yes I'm actually cooking myself proper meals."
"Mhm I bet." Yoongi chuckled, tugging the sleeves of his hoodie over his hands and rubbing at his tired eyes.
"I am I swear!"
"I believe you." The older shrugged, giggling as Hoseok narrowed his eyes playfully through the screen. "But anyway... I heard that bighit is looking to promote a solo artist to switch things up because they've been debuting a lot of groups. I doubt that they'll pick me but, that would be cool right?"
"I'd buy a ticket to every single on of your shows." Hoseok smiled, gazing at Yoongi lovingly as a grin broke out on the older's face.
"I'd let you in for free. Backstage passes too."
"Ooh, VIP treatment?" The younger asked, Yoongi nodding in response and laughing.
"Of course. You're the most important person to me, you know."

"So Hyung, I heard that bighit is looking to promote a solo artist.."
Yoongi hummed in response as Taesung's spoke to him, downing a water bottle; he had just gotten back from vocal coaching after all.
"I'm aware." Yoongi nodded, falling onto his bed and breathing out a sigh. "Why? Got high hopes that you'll be picked?"
"Nah." Taesung responded, "I've always worked better in a group, so a solo debut isn't what I'm leaning towards. What about you Hyung?"
"It would be cool." Yoongi nodded, closing his eyes as he rested. "But I've only trained for a few months now, I doubt that they'd think that's enough."
Taesung shrugged, slipping a hairband off of his wrist to tie his hair up into a small ponytail on the top of his head; it worked it keep the hair out of his face.
"I think it depends more on your level of talent and experience more than the amount of time you've trained." He spoke. "I know a few idols who've trained shorter than you have already and are doing pretty well for themselves."
"But I'm just Min Yoongi." Yoongi chuckled softly, opening his eyes a bit. "It'll probably be some time until people know my name."
"All in saying is that you never know." Taesung's smiled, pulling back the curtains of the window and looking outside. "What's your specialty anyway? Dance? Vocal?"
"Rap." Yoongi answered, smiling softly as he did so. "Didn't I tell you this already?"
Taesung's shrugged.
"Maybe." He nodded, "I guess I forgot." Taesung's paused for a second before smirking. "But a rapper huh? I've always heard that rappers are great kissers."
"Why don't you ask my boyfriend?" Yoongi mumbled, voice laced with no enthusiasm whatsoever. "He'd know."
Taesung frowned, huffing and sitting onto his bed, facing his roommate.
"I'll pass." He answered.
"Thought so." Yoongi nodded, before sitting up and flattening down his hair. "Hoseok's a dancer, he taught me a bit before I came here so that might help a bit."
Taesung raised an eyebrow, smoothing out the t-shirt he wore as he frowned softly.
"How good of a dancer is he?" He asked, Yoongi's smile reaching up to his tired eyes once he did so.
"In my eyes? The best." Yoongi sighed. "He's extraordinary."
And Taesung could see the love in Yoongi's eyes as he spoke about Hoseok, his eyes sparkling as he continued to ramble on with various praises about his boyfriend.
He sighed softly, crossing his arms and deciding that it was time to change the topic.
"If you do debut soon, how's the chance that you'll give me a discount on a ticket?" He asked, Yoongi raising an eyebrow and smiling coyly.
"No chance. You'll pay extra even." He shrugged, Taesung narrowing his eyes in response.
"Why?" He asked, the older rolling his eyes.
"Because I said so that's why." He answered, "Don't argue with your Hyung."
Taesung huffed, slouching in his seat before a thought popped into his head.
"Speaking of that," He began, "Why doesn't Hoseok call you Hyung? Aren't you older than him?"
"I am." Yoongi nodded. "But I've always loved the way that my name sounds when Hoseok speaks it, so I decided I liked it best when he dropped the honorific." He paused, laughing softly and looking down. "Ah.. That sounds weird doesn't it?"
"Not really." Taesung sighed, "You do you, Hyung."
