What inspired you to write this book?

I try to put a piece of my heart in everything I do, and, therefore, this book has a piece of my personality in it. After all, isn't love what we are all pursuing in life?

What was the inspiration behind the main character and their love interest?

Lydia has been influenced by many great characters, but, mainly, by Blair Waldorf.

What sparked your interest in writing, and how did you end up writing on Wattpad?

I have always loved writing. It has been a great part of my life, even before I started putting my words into stories. I was writing my thoughts and memories on pieces of paper whenever I'd go, and, finally, some stories started coming together. I started playing with them in fictional worlds, and, finally, arrived on Wattpad, after reading the After series and wanting to read the original works from the source.

Do you have a favorite scene in your story? If so, what makes it special to you?

Yes, the scene where Lydia is trying to leave for Paris on the Eurostar, but Gloria comes and convinces her to stay. It is such a powerful scene, revealing the power of true friendship, but also how sometimes, when we are lost in our own suffering, we can forget that our friends are also human beings, who experience loss and heartbreak.

How do you create and develop your characters? Do you base them on real people, or are they entirely fictional?

I definitely try and base my characters on real people (albeit vaguely), as I feel it makes them a lot more authentic and "real".

Do you have any favorite romance authors, on or off Wattpad, who inspired you to write romance stories? Feel free to name up to three people and some of your favorite stories they authored.

I have definitely met some very talented authors on Wattpad, like, Polly (@pollyf), and her amazing romcom Practice Makes Perfect. Off Wattpad, I am a massive romance and romantasy fan, and enjoy the works of Rebecca Yarros and Emily Henry very much.
