The paracosm charged at me, I barely dodged it by an inch. The hell I thought these ones were passive. I bolted towards the end of the room, without anything with me, taking down these things was definitely going to be difficult. I tried to understand the movement of this paracosm but it disappeared into the shadows. It reappeared right in front of me again, and with no other choice, I kicked it hard. I did not have a lot of time in my hands and these things won't go down without a fight, as the paracosm fell down and mixed in with the shadows again. I knew it would come back again soon and I needed to find something, anything that's useful to stop it.. 

I stood still as a low whisper, more of a growl, could be heard just behind my back. The entire room was filled with endless boxes. Having no other choice, I ran till I could spot something and that paracosm was right behind and it knows what fast means, well it has like, six legs or more?. anyways I was running out of breath and outrunning this one is impossible.

There in a corner i saw something sharp, old and rusted, but i am not sure what it is. Without a further thought, I lunged at it and attacked straight for it's eyes. The paracosm fell, hitting the ground. There was blood but it looked a bit odd, it a reddish-black color, which was quite unusual. I couldn't think anymore, my vision began to blur as I felt dizzy..

I slowly started to regain consciousness..

I had realized that I had ended up in the Gaelen. I sat up and saw Anora sitting right beside me.

" Heyyy Lumii umm... welcome back! after two days of sleeping! "

" Anora, just wait till I get out of this bed. "

" Sorry!! I thought it was harmless! I didn't know that it would get corrupted in such a short amount of time.. "

" Leave it.. cleansing over? "

" Yeah but you got a few scratches on your hand, it's pretty deep. "

" What?.."

" Could you not hear what I had said- "

" No, I meant.. the paracosm never attacked me back or that's what I think at least.. "

" Maybe it did?.. You know those things can do that right? Oh, and one more thing, the pain killer might wear of soon, be careful with your hand. "

" Will do.. " I said as I stood up to leave. I hate it when my mind is filled with questions and there are no answers.. because, its  just a theory, I don't think the paracosm attacked me, even if it did there was no way that it will get through the defense mode of my suit.

Pain ached through every part of my body, the pain killer wore out. Dang it! how did I not realize that my hand was scratched- 

" Lumi! wait up! "

" Oh hey Miro.. "

" Hey! DUDE WHAT'S WITH YOUR HAND- "

" Calm down, there was a attack, nothing more.. how's your mission? "

" Nothing much.. at least I'm alive. "

" I can very well see that...by the way, Anora is at the gaelen. "

" I wasn't-"

" I know you are going to anyways. "

" Welll.. see your later then! hope you get better! " He replied back as he headed towards the gaelen.

Agent Miro just came back from his mission, he says that these are more of vacation trips and it's better than working here and, I might agree on that but I never went out so, who am I to judge?

We have been friends for awhile, Anora introduced him to me. At first I thought he was just some random brown-headed idiot but he ended being a very extroverted. He is not a bad person but I could easily tell that he is heads over heels in love with Anora. With his light brown eyes, he gazes Anora like a sick lovebird. It's a sight to see.   

I headed towards the rooms andd what a surprise! Agent Arwan! God, Please give me a break-

" Oh hey, we meet again Lumi. "

" Hi- "

" Are you okay? I bet that hand is still stinging.. "

" Words do spread fast around here, don't they huh? "

" Sure do! I'm heading to chief, want to tag along? "

" Do I have a choice? "

" Now that you mention it, you don't. "

Anyways, I had to report to chief too cause I'm pretty sure Anora didn't.

" Soo.. about the Ataraxia thingy.. " I mainly wanted to keep the conversation going but I was also burning with curiosity.

" Was wondering when you will ask about that, taking a note that you are pretty curious. "

" Well what can I say? I'm type of person~ " I said. Talking to him made me feel at ease weirdly. He chuckled at my response.

" Aren't you afraid? " He said with a bit of astonishment in his voice.

" Afraid? not necessarily... It mainly depends on what you did but if you did something wrong, I don't think you would be here. " I said slowly as he listened attentively.

" Anyways.. "  I continued. " At a first glance, you are really a nice guy. Nobody would think you did anything wrong. "

" The good can have bad intentions, you know? " He said.

" That's what this life is about isn't it? "

" Agreeable. "

" I know you are no the mood to tell your backstory. "

" Wait.. how did you know? "

" Guessed. " I blindly said it out.

" Nice guess then. "

 I never said that I didn't want to see Arwan again, definitely. Maybe that's why Anora was wanting to know my backstory.  We chatted a bit more about how I got attacked, and finally we reached to chief's office.

" Can you tell what had happened on my behalf? " I asked him.

" Sure. " He said as he went in.

I leaned on the wall and decided to properly go through the report, which I had taken pictures of it earlier, while I wait for Arwan to come back.

MISSION REPORT : OPERATION LOST CORE

To - Agent Lumi

From - chief 

Mission brief - Find the lost orphic.

Agent Lumi, this is your first mission. So, details are clearly mentioned but soon you will have to do your own research on your own. 

MISSION OBJECTIVE- 

Planet Ataraxia had lost it's orphic. For now, changes are gradual but soon it will disappear and there is not a lot of time left for that planet. This is not the type of missions I give to beginners but you have trained for 10 years so, I have faith in you.

PLANET OVERVIEW- 

Planet name - Ataraxia 

Location -  Iterum Galaxy (10 light years away from celestial Orion spaceship)

Environment- Lands are lush and green and no arid deserts but corrupted wastelands are rapidly forming. Light is evenly distributed throughout so, there are no harsh winter climates too. Vast plains of variety of  plants and medicinal herbs can be found only there and nowhere else. 

Inhabitants -  They are divided on the bases of their status. The higher ones, maybe nobility, lives on the atmosphere of the planet, that is the clouds. They are also known as Sepehr. Next comes the ones who live on the land. These are the beings follow the Sepehr and are under full control. These beings are known as Cynefin. The least beings, who are treated unworthy of even living there are imprisoned in the sea. These are Tenebris. The longer Tenebrises stay in prison, the more their souls darkens and a feeling of guilty and misery comes their way, even if there were innocent.

ADDITIONAL INTEL-

You will land in the area of forests, even though the stand for the orphic is not located there. This is because you have to earn the trust of the Sepehr in order to continue with operation lost core. These Sepher's are not to be trusted with. They are said to be untrustworthy and are good at lying to get what they desire.

The Tenebris are the ones you should be worried about. There is a high chance that you might encounter the one who stole the orphic. Tenebris are the beings who are imprisoned underwater, so their origin might be different. It is very important to understand the background they are coming from and why. You will understand what I mean when you go on your mission.   

EQUIPMENTS- 

(This is general, special gear will be provided later)

Translator - Beings from different planets speak different languages. ( You are currently wearing one right now anyways.)

Galactic shards - These will help to transfer the orphic to it's rightful place.

Photon Blaster - Defense. ( You need to survive??) 

( You don't need to worry about oxygen, the suit which we will provide you has a built in invisible dome which will create a temporary atmosphere for you.)   

CODE PHRASE-

If ever in trouble, give us a ring and say 'Darkness rises' and if mission is over say, ' Hope prevails'.
