Jimmy picked up Lucifer on his back while Ben held his brain and innards in his hands. Green blood was dripping down his arms as they ran towards the lab. Lupin followed them, "What are you doing, Ben?"
"Saving Lucifer," Ben said, "I messed up everything, I wanna save at least one person,"
Lupin looked at him, "He's already dead,"
"I know,"

They ran towards his lab, "Lupin, go ahead and prepare an operation table,"
"Are you seriously gonna operate on a dead man?"
"Lupin," Ben looked at him, "Trust me, I know what I'm doing. I'm not crazy,"
Lupin ran ahead as Ben and Jimmy followed him.

Clanthido and Veronique were still fighting in the sky when suddenly Veronique felt a strong pain in her stomach and her stomach glowed white. Clanthido looked at her. She ignored her pain and made a huge ball of energy between her palms.

"STOP IT! YOU'RE PREGNANT!" He shouted and Lupin turned back, "Pregnant?"

"Lupin, move quickly!" Ben shouted from behind and reluctantly, he went inside the lab. He began arranging the table and the tools while Ben quickly submerged Lucifer's organs inside a preserving fluid. Jimmy kept Lucifer on the table and Ben washed his hands. He wore his gloves and his mask. He looked at Lupin, "I need you,"
Lupin nodded, "Okay,"

Meanwhile, Veronique shrieked and began falling down. Clanthido flew towards her and caught her in his arms. She was groaning in pain, "You shouldn't use your powers if you are pregnant. It can affect your child,"

He slowly flew towards the ground and gently landed on the soil. Ameradite looked at Clanthido and left the fight. Now, Coelestin was fighting alone with X. She ran towards them, "Princess Veronique, what happened?" She asked.
"I can feel another heart inside me," She said.
Ameradite touched her stomach, "She's pregnant!"

"AMERADITE!" Coelestin shouted and Ameradite looked at him. X was overpowering him using his powers.
"Clanthido, give the princess to me. I want you to neutralise the energy in this entire area, up to five metres of radius,"
"Alright,"

Ameradite picked Veronique up in her arms and flew towards their space ship while Clandthido went up into the clouds. He closed his eyes and spread his arms, Ameradite was gone by then and right after she left, the energy in that area neutralised. X couldn't use his powers anymore.

"What happened?" He looked at his hands while Clanthido flew down. Coelestin was at advantage and he got his chance to portray his warrior's heart.

X could feel his death coming. The sky was turning red and dull. He ran away from Coelestin, he ran in the opposite direction and saw Evelyn and Slaine. So, he quickly turned back, there he saw Clanthido, his eyes were glowing purple. He turned back and saw Coelestin, covered in Lucifer's blood with a heavy bronze shield in one hand and silver, electric spear in the other.

X quickly picked up a spear from the hands of a dead soldier lying beside him and ran towards Coelestin. Coelestin picked up his shield against his face to defend himself from X's clumsy movements, "I'll kill you! I'LL KILL YOU!" He yelled.

Coelestin just defended himself, looking back coldly at him with his icy blue eyes. He remembered the humiliation he had put him through in that court. As his hate and rage returned, he rose his spear.

"Do you really want to do this?" He saw Lucifer's reflection in X and his arms stopped immediately, "Weren't you going to be a kind prince?"

"Kindness," He said and he passed the spear through Lucifer's reflection, into X's gut, "CAN KISS MY FUCKING ASS!" He pulled out his spear tearing away his intestines. X lay dead on the ground as Coelestin stabbed him again and again. He stabbed him a hundred times, until is body was barely recognisable and then he fell on his feet. He dug his hands into his flesh and pressed his blood covered hands on his back, bathing it blood, that ran down from his cheeks to his mouth.

The orange, morning sun rose up in the sky cleared by rain. That sunrise marked the end of Coelestin's 16th birthday, his coronation day.

Where blood became his crown.

Meanwhile, Ben and Lupin worked on Lucifer. Lupin looked at a huge, squid-like creature floating behind them in a huge glass aquarium, "Jimmy, get it out," Ben said as he drained all the water from the tank.
"What is that thing?" Lupin asked.
"It's my other half. Kastrians have two bodies. I'll give one to Lucifer,"

"...Won't that harm you in any way?"
He looked at him. He couldn't see his lips, but his pink eyes were smiling, "Don't worry about it,"

Lupin put on his mask and they looked at that huge squid-like creature. Ben took a scalpel and made a small slit at its head, "Jimmy, clean Lucifer's wounds. Lupin, get him ready for blood transfusion,"

Lucifer was lying on his back, with his stomach wide open before him. Jimmy closed his eyes and brought the sterilised towel before him, "Ew ew ew," He said as he felt his organs and the towel soaking wet with greenish-red blood. Lupin was fast. He had already prepared the transfusion apparatus. He then grabbed a sterilised towel and cleaned Lucifer's stomach.

"Suction," Ben said. He was ready with some parts dipped in blood, "What is that?" Lupin asked.
"Just some organs I got from my other half. Luicfer's organs are damaged, we can use these instead,"

"But what about his heart? He is dead!"
"So? Kastrians don't have a heart. All our parts are focused inside our stomach, the rest of the body is hollow for gills and muscles to swim and breathe."
Lupin was shocked. Ben looked down, "Hold that blood vessel and keep the suction strong. I will now join these parts in him,"

"Are you sure it'll work?"
"Worse that can happen is that his body rejects it and he remains dead."
Lupin held the blood vessels and Ben stitched them with those new organs. His fingers were fast, he had good dexterity. Lupin just looked at his movements, "But...How will we make him alive again?"

"Metamorphoses. My species goes through something like that, but only a few of us do. When we die and decompose, our body gives rise to another Kastrian, it's a form of, what do humans call it, asexual reproduction. We call it metamorphosis."

"That sounds...beautiful in a deadly way," Lupin said.
"It is very painful, so usually, when we die, we are burnt, so that we don't have to undergo metamorphosis."
"You start as a new fetus?"
"Yes, but we carry the same genes," Ben's gaze was fixed on Lucifer's stitches.

"Hey Ben," Lupin asked.
"Yes?"
"Can a human...make a Kastrian pregnant?" Lupin asked.
"I don't think so, no they can't. We are two different species," Ben said.
"Then how–" Lupin stopped, "Nothing, nevermind,"
Jimmy looked at Lupin.

Within the next fifteen minutes, Ben was done. He looked at Lucifer. So did Lupin and Jimmy. Lucifer didn't move at all. He wasn't breathing.
"Ben..." Lupin looked at him.
"I'm sorry. I couldn't save him," Ben's back was facing Lupin.
"It's alright, at least you tried, man!" Jimmy said. Lupin was deep in thought.

Menwhile, the time machine's doors closed automatically, "FUCK!" Axel shouted as he tried opening them. The entire machine was blinking red, "HOLY SHIT! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" He punched the door, "BEN! BEN!"

Ben heard it, thanks to a Kastrian's strong sense of hearing. He ran out of the laboratory, "BEN! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Jimmy shouted, "Lupin, what do we do now?" He turned towards Lupin. He seemed to be in deep thought. He slowly walked towards a shelf and looked around.

Soon, he found a huge glass jar of hydrochloric acid. He picked it up and walked towards Lucifer, "L-Lupin?" Jimmy looked at him.

Lupin kept it aside and split open Lucifer's stomach. He took out those organs from his stomach and kept them in a preserving liquid, the Belzer-MPS solution. Then, he opened the cork and threw the acid on Lucifer's body. Jimmy just gaped at him with his eyes wide open, "WHAT IN THE FUCK!"

Lucifer's skin melted away.
"Oh God," Jimmy covered his mouth, "That looks so..." He turned to run out but Lupin grabbed his hand, "Jimmy please help me.

I have a plan,"

Jimmy looked into his eyes, "After what you just did?"
"I'm a doctor," Lupin said, "I know what I'm doing,"
"What are you doing?" Jimmy asked.
"Helping people at their most vulnerable time...It's a privilege," Lupin said. Jimmy looked away and then looked back at him, "No gore, okay?"

Lupin laughed, "Can't promise that. Just look into my eyes when you feel like you can't take it anymore,"
Jimmy washed his hands and wore a mask and a pair of gloves. He walked inside the laboratory again. Lupin was done washing Lucifer's body with water after that strong acid bath.

He looked at Jimmy, "You got the syringes?"
Jimmy looked into his eyes, "Yep,"
Lupin made a mixture of hormones while Jimmy took some blood from that squid-like organism, "Now?" He asked Lupin.
"Inject it into Lucifer," Lupin said as he mixed those liquids.

Jimmy looked at Lucifer's half decomposed body in disgust, "...Okay,"
He pressed the tip of the syringe on Lucifer's skin and closed his eyes. He thrust the blood into his skin. Lupin then came towards Lucifer and kept the organs back inside his stomach. He remembered the motions Ben did. He began stitching them to those particular arteries. Jimmy looked into his eyes. They held the reflection of the green blood.

"...What are we even doing?" Jimmy asked.

"I remember reading some research papers regarding the immune system and it's rejection to transplantation of new organs. It involved injecting newborn or fetal mice with white blood cells from unrelated mice. When the mice were adults, researchers placed skin grafts from the unrelated mice onto the backs of those that had received the blood cells.

The mice accepted the grafts as if they were their own skin, suggesting that the immune system can be modified. The study led to a scientific quest to find a way to train the immune systems of adults who needed new organs. Those organs can be transplanted from living donors, and so cells from the donor are available to use in an attempt to train the transplant patient's immune system. You are trying to fool the body's immune system," Lupin said, "That is not easy to do.

Well, not for humans at least. In Kastrians, it is different. Because they have this thing called metamorphoses. "WE MADE A MONSTER!" Jimmy shouted, "No, look," Lupin said as the flesh grew more and more. It took shape of a girl and from her breasts rose Lucifer.

"I guess I ain't sleeping for the next one month after looking at this," Jimmy covered his mouth, "I'm really done with this shit today,"
Lupin looked at it, "This...is beautiful in a deadly way,"
