As he disembarks and removes his helmet, Liberator returns to the hangar room. He goes to Goro Fujimaru and waits for him. He addressed him.

Daniel: Tell me how many casualties do we lose?

Goro: It's good news, sir. There are only 12 injuries. There's no casualties.

Daniel sighed of relief there's no casualties, but only injuries caught on the battlefield.

Daniel: That's good. No casualties on our side. Now, how about the refugees?

Goro: Follow me, sir.

Timeskip

Daniel and Goro are standing on the largest elevator platform descended to the bottom level and walking in the hallway. They stopped near at the largest gate door. 

They are waiting there when the largest gate door opens automatically, allowing them to enter an incredible facility where refugees are housed until their previous nations are liberated. Sanctuary is an underground city established for individuals who are treated better and live in peace without fear of three superpower nations.

This city should suppose to build for few months. But since Daniel have futuristic technology, they able to build it in time in few months.

(Note: the city are constructed by Nanotech which comes from C&C Red Alert 3)

People from other Areas were brought to Sanctuary City to live quietly, and it is believed that once it is liberated, they would return to their home countries. Daniel and Giro are riding in the jeep and driving through the streets to see how many of the city's residents are having a good time. They arrived at the refugee zone and observed Shinjuku residents being treated by medical staff. As they entered the hospital, they strolled past the refugees.

Aiwi slowly opened her eyes to see white rooms everywhere. She looked around the room, then saw something stick to her arm and connect to the saline bag. She can see from a patient monitor that her health is normal. She put a hand on her forehead after she was being fainted back then. She doesn't know what happened or where this place is. A door opens to reveal an Europian doctor dressed in a white coat, holding a clipboard, watching her reawaken. He approached her, as he said in French accent.

French Doctor: You're awake, Miss...

Aiwi: Aiwi. Aiwi Arakawa.

French Doctor: Arakawa. It's good to see you alive in Shinjuku.

Aiwi place her hand on her one left eye because of her mind is hurting until she realize it.

Aiwi: Shinjuku... Shinjuku!

She grabbed him on the coat and pull him closer to the face.

Aiwi: What is this? Am I in EU? For what I can see is European accent on you. How did I end up here!

French Doctor: Du came, Ms. Arakawa. You must be mistaken.

Aiwi: No! I'm in the EU alright! What are you going to do with me now? Send me to the battlefield to be cannon fodder!

???: That's enough, girl.

She turn around to see Daniel also known as Patriot Knight along with his side Goro Fujitsu. She release a doctor as she don't want to fight him due to have armor suit she is never seen before. A doctor move aside and said to him.

French doctor: Sir, she is awake, but she is so angry thinking she's in the EU since I am Europea- I mean Europian.

Patriot Knight: I'll take it over here, doctor. Go check other patients.

French doctor: Bien sur monsieur.

He leaves the room. Aiwi curled herself with two legs as she is facing two men in front of her. He said to her.

Patriot Knight: So... You must be Aiwi Arakawa, correct? 

She hesitated, but she simply nodded.

Patriot Knight: So what language do you like? English or Japanese. I can be either of them if that's suitable for you.

Aiwi: I can speak Japanese. But saying like that tells me you are not Japanese.

He chuckles as she figures it out so quickly. He removes his helmet to reveal his face to her, which is surprising to her, but she remains cautious about him because he is a Britannian. But what she didn't know is that he is not a Britannian.

Aiwi: I see... If that's make you feel fine, Britannian. I will speak English.

Daniel: Of course. Speak either English or Japanese is what matters anyway. Now, let's start to know about me. I am Daniel Thompson, I am leader of the organization.

Aiwi: Organization? Was it Britannia paramilitary organization or something?

Daniel: Goro...

Goro: This organization was built to be act like a military, but in truth, it was built for revolution.

Aiwi: Revolution? Hold on, why are you here with him? A Britannian. The one who took our home, our dignity, and our Nationality identity.

Goro: True. But there is something you must know about this organization that is going to change the fate of the world forever. Mr. Thompson picked me because he needed my ability to take a chain of command in case he wasn't around. He convince that he will liberate my country to be independence from Holy Britannian Empire.

Aiwi: Oh really? And do you believe he will do it?

She form her arms.

Daniel: To your eyes, I am a Britannian. But you really don't know much about me.

Aiwi: What? Are you saying you're not a Britannian. Then what are you? An European?

Daniel: Wrong. And correction, I prefer to call them Europian since the name of the superpower nation is United Republic of Europia or Europia United. To be honest, I don't the fuck know why they have many names. Anyway, I hope you can come with me if you want to know everything about this organization.

He turn around and goes to the door as he turn the doorknob and open it. He said to her again.

Daniel: Or I can order it to have a rent of your apartment to stay and live in a sanctuary. I already talk to the doctor you're allow to leave this place before I come in here. It's you choice.

She bowed her head, contemplating the options he had presented to her. One should be wary of him because he is a Britannian, albeit his mysterious appearance cannot be explained. Two, she can remain in the flat that Daniel informed her about. She chooses to accompany him after making her decision. She arose from her bed and followed them.

They're driving through the streets of the underground metropolis in a vehicle. Aiwi was astounded to see the lovely underground city and inhabitants, and she was shocked to see Japanese, British, Europeans, Chinese, and other people from various Areas and Superpower nations who wanted to get away from the battle enjoying themselves down here. She is unable to explain how the organization constructed this structure. Goro told everything to her.

Goro: Two years ago, Daniel found the old bunker that hasn't been used since Second Pacific War. He decides to establish the organization as a first base.

Aiwi: So are you saying he's a rebel?

Daniel: I'm more like a revolutionary guy, a genius one. I have no love of born in a tyrannical empire wanted to take over the world so no one can challenge them.

Goro: He went scattered through the land to find engineers and scientists from the settlements or ghettos to bring them here. He shown his latest technology that can be rival on Britannia and Europia. Something more futuristic.

Aiwi: Futuristic? You're talking about sci-fi stuff.

Daniel: Indeed. I wanted to be an inventor so that I might develop anything for the benefit of humanity as it advances into the future. But it was before Britannia took over Japan and dubbed it Area 11. Not only that, but they gained control of other areas in order to bolster the military's funding in order to continue battling two powerhouse nations.

Goro: He shown it to them and pledge loyal to him first. Then, he started to recruited both Japanese and Britannian to join his cause. At first, there are tension between them, if not for him.

Daniel: I establish an equal organization in which all human beings are treated the same in the face of a common enemy. I informed them that the actual adversary is the one who has never stopped fighting, and that other superpower nations have gotten worse than Britannia. The United Republic of Europia is a superpower nation in which all men are equal, but it is not democratic. Politicians and officials in the Central Hemicycle have been corrupted. When Japanese people seek sanctuary in URE, they are separated in internment camps and denied equal rights. And now they send those young Japanese as sacrificial cannon fodder to fight for a country they never knew existed.

Aiwi: You got it there.

Daniel: No kidding. Let's not forget about Chinese Federation. For what I know, the empress despite a young child is just a figurehead while the real power of the country is the High Eunichs. Corrupted pigs taking everything for themselves in luxury place while the people living in harsh environment trying to survive by any means. The beliefs is differently based on communism. Speaking of that, have you know about communism in your school?

Aiwi remembered the instruction from high school, before her country became Area 11. It was mentioned that it originated in Russia, which was a monarchy prior to WWI, and that a group of Bolsheviks were attempting to start a revolution to destroy the Russian Empire. But they failed when URE assaulted the newly created government and forced them to flee to China. Despite the fact that it is a monarchy, communism is incorporated into the political structure to meet their stance.

Aiwi: Yeah. My high school taught me that one.

Daniel nodded. He gladly that there is mention about communism. It also good thing that there's no nationalist socialism or fascism appear to this world because this could be a dark turn if that happen to the same thing as his world.

Daniel: Anyway, with my newly technology called Nanotechnology or Nanotech, I can create structures in my own image.

Aiwi: What!

She is shocked to hear it.

Goro: It's true. He build this place by nanotech. But not only that, he ordered the workers to build streets, bridges, and everything else needed to live here for the people from other countries and Areas. It is very comfortable place to safe away from conflict that people wanted to forget it.

Aiwi: But they're not free.

Daniel: We know. That is why we need people to join us to fight against tyrannical and corrupted nations for selfish ambitions. The people wanted peace without continue the war so I give them one.

She paused for a bit as she realized what they are really up to.

Aiwi: You're going to recruit me.

Goro: Yes. We are.

ULA control room

Daniel, Goro, and Aiwi enter the control room, where they witness workers hard at work gathering information, communicating with other bases, and spying on persons engaging in questionable conduct. Aiwi is astounded to witness every Japanese, British, European, and Chinese worker working hard and sincerely without being sloppy or lazy. When she looks at the flag, she notices a logo of a white torch carried by a human arm, a light indigo backdrop circle, and a red outer circle surrounded by white stars. A blue background with two red stripes on either side. At the bottom of the circle is a name.

Daniel: The control room is visible here. We hacked the system all around the world in order to watch our adversaries with a thousand eyes. You may not have been recruited yet, but I'll tell you anyway. I've already dispatched spies and infiltrators made up of Britannians, who, of course, regard them as rebels, to gather intelligence and other information.

Aiwi: But how will you able to convince them to join you? Not many Britannians eager to fight against their own empire?

Daniel: Commoners who have been treated badly by the nobles and saw a corruption within it and former nobles who seen them as arrogant, selfish, and ignorant to believe they are superior over the weak. I already have them here where no nobility can touch here.

Aiwi: Wow... I didn't know...

Goro: It's just only beginning, Ms. Arakawa.

Aiwi: Please, stop calling me that. It sound like I'm old. Call me Aiwi.

Goro: Very well. We are waiting for a time to come to reveal ourselves to the world to take on against corruption and tyranny that has been in this world for so long. 

Daniel: We may anticipate the Holy Britannian Empire to come after us once we do that. To eliminate us once and for all. Now, Aiwi, the reason I want you is that I need an elite guard to fight beside me. In other words, a companion. According to my agents, you were previously a member of the Glory Red Sun resistance group. You have good fighting skills after defeating a small group of Britannians thugs with a katana. Aiwi Arakawa, your records appear to be improving.

Goro: it's time to that whether you want to fight for better future or you can stay here and live peacefully until we liberated your country. It's up to you, Aiwi. The choice is yours.

Aiwi is debating whether she should fight Britannia or dwell underground in the city until the battle is ended. But she was once a member of the resistance and fought back to reclaim her home before the entire resistance was wiped out, allowing her to flee. She wanted to repay them for their kindness; she didn't want to forget it. So she made her decision.

Aiwi: Fine. Okay. Count me in. But on two conditions.

Daniel: And that is?

Aiwi: One, if you want me by your side, you must first win my trust. Second, upon training, you will be promoted to lieutenant. Also, once I'm your elite guard, you'll tell me everything you know—more than anyone else here. I'd like to be a part of it. After all, you are the one who saved my life.

Daniel: Hmm... Accept. Welcome to United Liberation Alliance, Aiwi Arakawa.

They both shake their hands. Then, an intelligent officer rush toward him as he said in serious tone.

ULA intelligent officer: Sir!

Daniel: Report.

ULA intelligent officer: I've got contact from the agent entering Prince Clovis personal G-1 mobile base.

Daniel: Has Clovis under our custody yet?

ULA intelligent officer: No sir. They report that they found him dead on the chair.

There was complete silent. Daniel, Goro, and Aiwi were shocked to learn that Prince Clovis was assassinated in his own mobile base. They have no idea how someone could infiltrate there and kill him just after he declared a ceasefire.

Daniel: How is that possible? Clovis was still alive after calling the ceasefire. Who could've enter the mobile base and waiting to kill him afterward. Something is not right.

Then suddenly, a realization came to his mind knowing who is behind the assassination of Prince Clovis.

Daniel: Unless...

Goro: Unless what sir?

Daniel lean closer to the left ear, whispering to him.

Daniel: Unless it was Code L did it.

Goro's pupils dilated. He understands what Code L means to him. Only he, as lieutenant general, knew the person's name, and Daniel trusted him to learn it. But first, Daniel checked his watch and noticed that it was almost midnight.

Daniel: Crap! I have to go! Goro, take a command. I want everything what Clovis is hiding and have it tomorrow when I return.

Goro: Yes sir. 

He look at her.

Goro: You can start your training tomorrow morning.

He said as he leaves the control room. This confused for Aiwi is to know why he just left his base and leave it command to him. She look at Goro as she asked.

Aiwi: Um? What is so hurry to him?

Goro: To school, of course.

Aiwi: Huh? But he's 21.

Goro: He's been in school for two years ago. Now anyway, my men will escort you to your new apartment just need some arrangement for single person.

Aiwi: Oh. Of course.

Ashford Academy

When the elevator doors open, Daniel is seen deactivating his device on his chest, putting it in his pocket, and heading to his dorm room. It's late at night, and everyone in the dormitory is fast asleep. He strolled across the corridor without being noticed. As he walked in, he reached for his room and shut it behind him. He set it down on the table, changed his clothing, and crawled into bed.

Daniel: Ahhh... Another day of saving the day.

He said before fell into asleep.

Unbeknownst to him, a blond adolescent girl had been monitoring on the laptop with her secret surveillance camera in each corridor. A blonde female has been observing him for a long time in a dark room as his suspicions get to her, which she wants to know about him.

???: Who really are you, Daniel?

Next Morning

Daniel was dressed in a school uniform, holding books on his arms, and walking down the corridor toward the Student Council room entrance. He is permitted to attend because he is a member of Student Council. Milly and the others are revealed as the door opens. Rivalz Cardemonde, a tiny young guy with semi-long dark blue hair, is the Student Council secretary. Shirley Fenette, a teenage girl with light brown hair who is a member of Student Council. Nina Einstein has dark green short hair and wears spectacles; she is also a member of Student Council. Daniel appears to be intrigued by the fact that she is a different counterpart of Albert Einstein back in his world, who is the one who calculated the equation E=mc2, resulting in the creation of the atomic bomb that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the first place, therefore ending WW2. He had agents and spies dressed as professors and janitors in the academy to keep an eye on her. The last thing he needs is for her to write many variants of an equation in order to create a bomb for a despotic power to use to force people to sign a treaty. Finally, the Student Council is led by a lovely young guy with black hair named Lelouch Lamperouge. He doesn't want to reveal his true identity to the others, but he has other plans for him. He walked in and listened to their chat.

Rivalz: Huh, serves you right for ditching me like that.

Shirley: That's right. What was up with you yesterday?

Lelouch: Um well...

Milly: That's enough, you guys. Let's not get side tracked here. If we don't come up with a fix for the club activities budget, there won't be money left for anything at all.

Nina: And if it comes to that point...

Daniel: Hey guys.

Everyone look at him just arrived.

Rivalz: Hey Daniel! What's up!

Daniel: Fine. Just doing school work. To be honest, it really stress me off.

Rivalz: Oh, come on. I know it's stressful. But you are really a smart guy like you learn so fast you just answer them correctly on the quizzes.

Daniel: Yeah. Being a smart guy makes me feel a nerd.

Shirley: Ah, don't say that. You are not a nerd.

She went look at Nina.

Shirley: No offense, Nina.

Nina: Um... thanks?

Daniel: SO anyway, what are you guys talking about?

Milly: Well...

She going to say to him when Rivalz interrupt her.

Rivalz: It's about Lelouch ditching me when we almost get hit by a truck.

Daniel: A truck?

Shirley: Wait. Are you guys okay? Did you get hit by-

Lelouch: No, no. We are okay. It's just that truck driver should check where he was driving or he get himself.

Rivalz: Which results of what happened there.

Daniel (thoughts): Ah huh. That truck is carrying a capsule and Code L must've involve there.

Daniel: Okay. Um, what are you guys really talking about?

Rivalz: Oh right! That...  The equestrian club will be pissed. We don't want 'em comin' in here on horse back.

Milly: Rivalz, can't you be a more serious student council member?

Shirley: You know, it would have been nice of you if you would have reminded us about this mess a day ago.

Rivalz:  I would have to say a day later. Then we would have given up.

Daniel: Hm. Giving up, eh?

Lelouch: Good idea. We can still do that.

Milly: GUTS!

She shouted, causing everyone caught a flinched.

Rivalz:  Are you trying that guts spell again?

Daniel: Yeah. What's up with that?

Milly: I want you people to start putting your all into this.

Lelouch: I really don't think that your magic's gonna do a whole lot.

Shirley: Actually it's got me going, Madam President.

Milly: Supple and willing, that's what I like.

Shirley: I train hard in the gymnastics club.

Daniel: I do exercise too. And to be honest, it tired me out when I tried to run around few times. FEW TIMES.

Lelouch: Geez... No need to be dramatic, Daniel.

Daniel: I ain't be dramatic. I'm being realistic.

Rivalz laughed.

Rivalz: Oh boy, you really are special, don't ya? So do you still looking for a girlfriend.

Shirley: Rivalz!

Milly: Ohh... Seems like Daniely here want a girlfriend.

Everyone make a 'Ohhhh' sound. 

Daniel: No, I don't. Study and focus on my future is more important than finding a girl to be with me.

Milly: "Oh no, you really broke this beautiful girl's heart". This is what happens to you if something went bad and you will be lonely.

Daniel: Oh shut up, Miss President.

Everyone snickered and then laughed of it.

Knightmare simulation room

After she finished training in hand-to-hand combat and doing some exercise, Aiwi went to the simulation room to test out her skills of operating a knightmare and get a perfect record. She is sitting on the chair, holding two controller sticks, and she is wearing a VR headset to see through the simulation. The simulation started with a green field with trees, rocks, and a blue sky with a lot of clouds. Then she saw enemy soldiers popping out of nowhere, ready to attack. She moves her knightmare as she takes them without a sweat. After a few minutes of simulation, she looks at the record to see the scores are higher, which means she is capable of operating the knightmares or mechanized humanoid combat robots. It bring her a smile that she is ready for fight.

He and the others were strolling down the hallway to the classroom when they noticed students watching the news on their laptops about the poison gas explosion in Shinjuku ghetto.

Male student 1: They used poison gas?

Male student 2:  Man, that's freaky.  Shinjuku's only thirty minutes from here.

Female student: Oh my god! I saw smoke rising over in Shinjuku, it must have been the gas.

Male student 1: Are they saying anything else about it?

Lelouch approaches them while they watch the television to see if they are watching the news. Daniel, on the other hand, can tell you that the Britannian government controls the media in order to keep the public from learning the reality about the Shinjuku slum. He can see they're lying to their own people so they won't be humiliated or exposed to the rest of the world. Shirley had just mentioned that name to Lelouch when he called her about looking at the Shinjuku news.

Shirley: Shinjuku?

Lelouch replied to her.

Lelouch: I heard about it in real time from a friend. That's why I called you yesterday.

Male student 1: Hey, check out the footage of those dead Elevens.

Female student: Oh! Don't look at that!

Daniel checked his watch and saw that today was the day to learn everything he needed to know about the capsule and the secret that Prince Clovis kept it.

Daniel: Oh! That reminds me. I have to go somewhere else.

Shirley: Huh? But you just got here-

Daniel: Sorry. No time to explain. See ya!

As he raced out of the classroom, he said. Milly and the others had puzzled looks on their faces. Lelouch brushed it off and walked to the restroom before feeling sick. Milly just stood there watching him run away, sensing something was wrong with him. She remembered that two years ago, after Daniel entered in this academy, he would always disappear for his own business. She wonders if he has a secret that he doesn't want to reveal to her or anybody else. But she kept it in mind as she instructed her classmates to enter the room and begin the class before the teacher arrived.

Daniel's Office Room, ULA headquarter

Goro: Here's everything the agents and spies send me. Everything is there, sir. 

He handed it to Daniel while Daniel looked it up in the papers. Human experimentation by the Code R Research Team. Geass. C.C. is the name of a woman. He examined the data on the paper and discovered that Geass possesses supernatural abilities and that C.C. She is an immortal witch, which means she has existed in this realm for a hundred years. It astounds him that there are magical powers and immortal beings in this planet. He wonders how it could have existed in this different universe. He inquired.

Daniel: I cannot believe there is a supernatural power called Geass allows to use any kind of abilities by stare at people's eyes and Geass will do a thing. Also, this girl... do you think she must be in the capsule that resistances stole it?

Goro: Absolutely, sir.

Daniel: And have you check it two times if this is true?

Goro: We already done that, sir.

He lean back on the chair and deeply sighed as it takes him too long to believe in. 

Daniel: Geass appears to be something unexpected. If that girl survived Shinjuku and is still alive, I want spies to track her down. Please notify me when they find her.

Goro: Of course, sir. Also, we able to get the list of people working in Code R Research team.

He handed him another piece of paper with a list of names working in Code R on it, one of whom was Fenette. Shirley informed him that her father works in vehicle maintenance to support his family. But she had no idea her father was involved in human research for Prince Clovis. It's a terrible that her father had to lie to his own daughter in order to collect the payment to sustain his family, but human experimentation is always immoral, regardless of whether C.C. is a being who lives forever. He sighed when he finished reading the paper.

Daniel: So how's Aiwi? Did she trained well?

Goro: Apparently, yes. Her track record demonstrates her fighting ability. When those poor boys tried to challenge her, she even tried to beat them.

Daniel: Heh. For Japanese, there are history about samurais, ninjas, and the cultures here before Holy Britannian Empire took it away from your country.

Goro: And I trusted you to liberate my homeland soon.

Daniel: Soon. Call her here. It's time.

Goro: Huh? Are you seriously going to do it today? Right now?

Daniel: Of course. I do need an elite guard to be on my side and I need her skills in order to reach our goal.

Goro: I see... I get her.

He's going to leave the room before Daniel add something to him.

Daniel: Oh! One more thing.

Goro: Hm?

Daniel: I want the information of a girl named Kallen Stadtfeld. Send it to me.

Goro: Of course, sir.

He said as he leaves the room. In 3 minutes later, Aiwi came through the door to see him. She wearing ULA dark blue uniform. She stopped near him as she form her arms wanted to meet him.

Aiwi: I'm here. So, what is it you bring me here for?

Daniel: Well, you said you wanted to become my elite guard, right?

She nodded.

Daniel: Then let's get started. 

He rise up from his chair and go around to her. He said to her.

Daniel: I, Daniel Thompson also known as Patriot Knight, shall immediately promoted you as Lieutenant of United Liberation Alliance and my elite guard. Should you swear to loyal to me and never tell the others?

Aiwi: I do.

Daniel: Do you swear that you shall not betray the organization?

Aiwi: I do.

Daniel: Then hereby degree you are officially my elite guard staying by my side. You shall not speak a classified information to everyone except me and Lt. Gen. Goro Fujitsu unless I authorized it. Is that understood?

Aiwi: Yes sir. I am understood.

Daniel begin to smile at her.

Daniel: Good. 

He returns to seat as he continue to say at her.

Daniel: Now, for your first time to be my elite guard, I am allow to share everything to you however I cannot tell you the rest of it unless I say so. Besides, I have a surprise for you.

Aiwi: A surprise? What surprise?

Daniel: When that time has come, Aiwi. Now, about everything I have here that something to do with Clovis order to massacre the ghetto.

He hands it to her as she is reading the newspaper. She felt shocked and enraged since Clovis desperately wanted to retrieve a capsule because he didn't want everyone in the ghetto spreading rumors about his secrets. She slammed the papers down on the desk.

Aiwi: That son of the bitch! He don't want to be disinherited of losing his precious capsule contained an immortal witch so he decides to order the massacre of Shinjuku. Bastards, all of them working that murderer!

Daniel: And he will. Because I have recordings of his order of Shinjuku massacre.

Aiwi: Huh? What do you mean by that?

He smiles at her with nothing changes as he replied.

Daniel: Just listen this.

He activates a holographic computer and begins recording, hearing every word Clovis says. After listening to everything on the audio, Aiwi was astonished to find evidence that Clovis did order the Shinjuku massacre.

Aiwi: You have those recording that contains Clovis order. Wow, you really are special for this organization.

Daniel: I am a man who is going to win the war.

As he looked at his watch, he noticed that the class had just ended and that he was considered absent. But that doesn't matter because he's already been to school in his reality.

Daniel: Well, it seems my time is up. I must be going.

Aiwi: Really? You're leaving again? Do you have officers beside Goro Fujitsu to control this place while you're gone?

Daniel: I have. I have few officers in my rank and they are getting those men trained as soo as possible once we reveal ourselves. Now, if you excuse me.

He claimed that by pressing a button on his left gauntlet, he transported and vanished in his workplace. Aiwi has just blinked at what she has just seen, and she is speechless.

Aiwi: Okay... How did he do that?

When he arrived at Ashford Academy, he was apprehended and taken to the classroom, where he took a whole lesson while being late. Despite his absence, Daniel is a first-rate student who has answered all of the questions correctly despite his frequent absence. He walks in the corridor after class, when he finds Lelouch and Kallen outside by the window. He peered at them to see if they were talking to each other. He sensed something strange here, so he took out an insect drone and flew out to listen in on their talk. He listened to them with a little earpiece in his right ear.

Lelouch (comms): I want answers.

Kallen (comms): Of course.

Daniel: Huh? What question is he talking to her about? Is it about Shinjuku or Geass, I think?

Lelouch (comms):  Were you the one piloting the Glasgow in Shinjuku?

Kallen (comms): Yes.

Lelouch (comms): Why terrorism?

Kallen (comms): Because I'm Japanese. Though technically I'm half Britannian.

Daniel widened that he discovered Kallen isn't a pureblooded Britannian girl after all.

Daniel: A half-blood. Now that something surprising.

Then suddenly, a girl voice spoke out to him.

???: Daniel?

He turn around to see Shirley just walking in here.

Daniel: Oh! Shirley, I didn't see you here. What's up?

Shirley: We are going to chemical lab for next subject. Don't you remember that?

Daniel: Ah, sorry. I must've been working hard on study lately.

Shirley then saw Lelouch and Kallen at outside so she decides to call them.

Shirley: Hey, Lulu! Kallen! You know, it's time to head over to the chem lab! You'd better get a move on!

Lelouch: Oh crap, it's my turn to set up for class!

He just said as he run to the chemical lab, leaving her getting suspicious that something is on him telling about Shinjuku. Shirley turn to face at him.

Shirley: You should go too.

Daniel: Yeah. I'll catch up with you guys.

Shirley wave him a goodbye and went off to the lab. An insect drone returns and Daniel grabs it and put it into his pocket. He went to chemical lab.

Nighttime, Daniel's Dorm room, Ashford Academy

In the dorm room, Daniel has been watching Lelouch, Nunnally, and a maid named Sayoko. According to the details, Sayoko is a student at the Shinozaki School of Martial Arts and the 37th successor. But the Holy Britannian Empire did not declare war on Japan at that time. Her master died, and she was about to commit seppuku until Reuben Ashford persuaded her to stay and serve as a maid in his academy for shelter. She appeared convincing and agreed to be Ashford's maid before going to Lelouch and Nunnally as their guardians. Someone then knocks on the door, and Daniel shuts it and gets his father's gun in case someone tries to hurt him. He approached the door with caution and opened it to reveal an instructor dressed in a brown leather shirt, light gray slacks, and two pairs of black shoes. At Ashford Academy, this instructor is one of his spies. His name is James Howarklodt, and he is a Britannian as well as a ULA spy who is loyal to him. Daniel spoke to him after lowering his revolver.

Daniel: Have you seen that girl yet?

James: No sir. There's no girl coming here.

Daniel: Very well. Get some sleep. You earn it. I'm going back to the headquarter.

James: Thank you, sir. I see you tomorrow.

He turned and went away. Daniel gathers his belongings and closes the door behind him as he walks to the elevator. He descended to the water circulation system's lower level. He was able to hack the security turret system in order to avoid being "accidentally" shot. He glances about while in the water circulation system and sees no one else, thus he is alone. He clicks a button on a gadget on his chest to activate his nanotech armor suit. He was about to begin teleportation when a black-hooded female figure emerged from hiding and began sprinting towards him.

???: Stop!

Patriot Knight: What the-

She simply races forward and jumps towards him before being transferred to a specific area.

Both Patriot Knight and a hooded female got teleported here in the woods. He quickly tackles her on the ground and point a gun at the face.

Patriot Knight: Who are you and how do you know you're waiting for me.

He said threatening at her with a gun pointing at the face,

???: Wait, please! It's me!

He knelt as a woman removed her hood to expose herself—it was none other than Milly Ashford herself. He is startled when he tackled the Student Council President.

Patriot Knight: Milly?

He let her go as she stood up from the ground, but he kept his gun ready in case she tried to flee.

Milly: I never knew something is going on you.

Patriot Knight: And I'm surprised that a former noblewoman just came out of nowhere and tries jump on me before we both teleport here.

Milly: Teleport? How-- It doesn't matter! I want to know what are you really up to? 

Patriot Knight: Sorry. But I'm the one holding a gun here so I'm gonna ask you. How did you know I was there.

Milly: Probably you should check that there are secret cameras made by me and my grandfather to ensure someone tries to infiltrate my academy and harm my students and friends. I saw you few many times.

Patriot Knight: Damn. You did good. But how can I know you're not gonna snitch me to the authority.

Milly: If I did, I would've been there to know about you already.

She said. Seeing she is telling a truth, he lowered his gun down, but he will not let his guard down yet. He unmasked the helmet to see his face to her.

Daniel: You're one clever girl for a former noble.

Milly: Please, the nobility is no consider to me. It was fine all to live in, but not to my family though.

Daniel: Hmm... Anyway, I should get you back to academy and pretend we never-

Milly: Oh no, you don't!

She stepped in, pointing a finger at him.

Milly: Since you enroll the academy in two years ago, you are acting strange lately such as coming back in every night and sometimes a day when you are absent. You're lucky I didn't inform to my grandfather about you so much.

Daniel: You've been watching me for whole time and you didn't do anything.

Milly: I just want to know what is going on with you. As your president of Student Council, I demanded answers so don't say no to me because I always be stubborn to refuse.

She glaring at him with serious expression face. Daniel see no point of convincing her to return the academy he had no choice but to accept it anyways. He deeply sighed of defeat and said to her.

Daniel: Fine. But stay close with me. As for now, I'm consider you as my guest so don't do anything stupid.

Milly: Aww... Don't say that to this poor beautiful girl.

She teasing at him. Daniel brush it off and headed to the bunker. Once they're inside, they're standing at the elevator platform and going down to the lower level. While it descended to lower level floor, Milly decides to ask him.

Milly: So... You build this place. Since when?

Daniel: Since after I enroll the academy. I found this old bunker that no Japanese or Britannians discover it. I was able to find any Japanese scientists and engineers of what's left of once proud nation of Japan. Then after the construction of my headquarter, I decided to build the organization that is act like military, but built for revolution against the enemy of the strong.

Milly: And what is it called?

The elevator platform hits to the end of the bottom.

Daniel: The United Liberation Alliance.

They entered the room as Milly noticed everything lovely about her. Men and women are hard at work prepping the equipment, checking on sutherlands and senshis, and she is surprised to see a new model, although it is not a knightmare frame. They continued to enter through the hallways when he summoned a nearby officer.

Daniel: Officer.

ULA officer: Sir!

Daniel: Call LT. Aiwi Arakawa to the portal room immediately.

ULA officer: Yes sir.

He bows and departs to find Aiwi and bring her to him. Milly is curious about Aiwi Arakawa and how she came to be his lieutenant in this group. Because the answer is uncertain, she will respond once they reach the so-called gateway room. As they approach the area, scientists are working on consoles to ensure that the systems are functional and have enough power to activate the portal gateway. ULA guard: Hey! No one's allowed to get closer to the gateway without Patriot Knight permission.

She stepped back away from the portal as she is told. Daniel walks to her.

Milly: Patriot Knight? Is that what you called yourself?

Daniel chuckles for answer.

Daniel: Well, after get those people from Shinjuku safely in harms away I figured that I should call my new identity. A patriotic person who is wearing a knight armor symbolize of liberty and patriotic to the country I love to born in. And I'm not talking about Britannia of course. Because that's not I raised in.

Milly: Wait. You're saying you are not a Britannian.

Daniel: Yep.

Milly: So all this time since you enrolled my academy, you have been lying me this whole time.

Daniel: I did lie honestly. But it's because there's something that you won't believe everything I said to my words.

Milly: Then... Who really are you?

Before he could replying her, Aiwi entered the room. She is dressed in a ULA outfit and carries a weapon in her holster for self-defense. She went up to him.

Aiwi: Daniel or Patriot Knight, whatever you call yourself. What is-

She stopped when she saw Molly beside him.

Aiwi: What is a Britannian girl doing here?

Daniel: It's kinda complicated to explain to you.

He explains her about Milly wearing a black hood jumps on him before they both teleported to this location.

Aiwi: Huh! Then she is an intruder!

Milly: Ah! Excuse me! I am not a spy if that's what you're thinking of! I just happened to be suspicious about him strangely.

Aiwi: Coming from a noble girl, you really are a scum of the earth.

Milly: Why you-

Daniel: Ahem!

Both girls look at him with a disappointment expression.

They both hesitated, but they nodded. They both shake their hands as they said to themselves.

Aiwi: My apologies, Brits.

Milly: So do I, at least. I am Milly Ashford, president of School Council and a daughter of Ashford family.

Aiwi: Aiwi Arakawa. Lieutenant of ULA and an elite guard of Patriot Knight.

Milly: An elite guard. Sounds fitting of your position.

Aiwi: Huh... Thanks.

He smiled to see them getting friendly now.

Daniel: Good. Now, with that out of our way, it's time. Goro , fire it up.

Goro: You hear him. Activate the portal.

ULA scientist: Activate a portal gateway now.

As the electricity is turned on, they press the buttons and pull the levers, according to the scientist. In the center, a blue electric sphere appears and flashes into a whole. Milky and Aiwi are taken aback when the portal gateway is triggered. Daniel put on his helmet as he approached a portal. He turned around and stated to two girls,

Patriot Knight: You two, come. It's time to show you the answers you want to know about me.

Milly and Aiwi nervously look each other faces before they goes to him. They are at both sides of him standing together near the portal. Milly asking him.

Milly: Um, is it safe to go in there?

Patriot Knight: My calculations never fails me, Milly. Now, hold my hands.

Aiwi: What?

Patriot Knight: Just hold my hands.

Milly: Unless you're jealous of me holding his hand.

She's teasingly at her with a smirk on the face.

Aiwi: What! Why you- Fine! I'll hold your hand.

She remarked this as she grasped his hand in the same way Milly did. Aiwi's cheeks have suddenly turned pink. As they prepare to enter the portal, these three brace themselves. Goro just told them that.

Goro: I will inform you a news when you're return, Patriot Knight.

Patriot Knight: Copy that. You ready?

Milly: Y-Yeah.

She said nervously.

Aiwi: Just get over it already.

She said the same thing Milly did. As a result, they entered a portal to another world. Goro has directed that all weaponry, equipment, vehicles, planes, mechs, and even knightmare frames used for reserve forces be completed in time for his homecoming.

Unknown location, North America Union, Parallos universe

IAs those three venture out into the desert, a doorway appears. The portal is still standing. They glance around, and everyone but Milly and Aiwi has no idea where they are.

Aiwi: Okay... Do you know where we are?

Milly: I don't know about anything here. Daniel?

He looks around for a sign on the fence. He approached as he realized what this sign signified.

'Warning! You are entering Area 51 facility. No trespassing'

Patriot Knight: Oh... I know where we are.

He realizing that the portal just mark a location something he accidently stepped in.

Milly: You do?

Patriot Knight: Yes. And you two should stay behind me.

Aiwi: Huh? Why?

Two flash lights spotted them as the alarm sounds on alarming everyone in their presence.

Aiwi: You idiot! You've just teleport us to Britannian base! Now we are going to be caught!

Patriot Knight: Don't worry. I have a plan. Now, get behind me.

No one wanted to dispute with him, so the two females complied and moved behind him. The APCs, humvees, and attack drones fired directly at them, while soldiers from the APCs deployed and pointed their weapons at them. They are encircled and outnumbered. Aiwi is poised to assault, but Patriot Knight prevents her from firing. Milly is terrified and continues hiding behind him. Patriot Knight did not flinch in this situation.

NAU soldier: This is Area 51 facility! You are trespassing! Put your hands up now!

He started to stepped in with his hands up.

Aiwi: What are you doing?

Patriot Knight: Trust me.

He get closer as the soldiers pointing weapons at him and then he said.

PAtriot Knight: I wish to talk whoever charge of this facility.

???: That would be me.

A lone man in a green military camouflage outfit with military badges on his left chest. He is a 65-year-old man who allegedly oversees this facility as a general. He came to a halt 2 meters away from him. Albert V. Richardson is his name. He is being cautious of him because he arrived here unexpectedly and is unfamiliar, and he will issue an order if he becomes hostile. He notices a doorway appear behind him, but he also notices two girls behind him. So he decides to discover who he is and what he desires.

Richardson: Here I am. So, can you tell who are you and what brings you here?

Patriot Knight: I'm asking you a same thing. I want to know you first.

Richardson: I am Gen. Albert V. Richardson. I'm in charge of this facility which where you are standing. Now who are you.

He grabbed his helmet and took it off, revealing his face to him. Richardson was taken aback that it wasn't an alien. It was a living being. But this raises the question of who he is. He replied to him.

Daniel: I am Daniel Thompson. My father is Secretary of Defense Henry Jorge Thompson and my mother is an American senator Mary P. Thompson. 

Richardson: Wait. Are you saying... you are their son?

Daniel: Absolutely. If you don't believe me, use my face scanner and see if I'm match to them.

He stated this. He recalls an American business company producing a face scanner that allows them to identify the person with specifications and family origins in order to assess whether or not they are related to a respectable family. Richardson uses a face scanner on him to see if he matches the jobs of his father and mother, which surprises him. He ordered his forces to stand down and treat them as friendly for the time being. He then told him.

Richardson: So... You must be their son. I've heard the news that you were disappeared at North Carolina University two years ago.

Daniel: Huh... That's seem a long time spending in other world.

Richardson: Other world? Hold on, are you telling me...

Daniel interrupts him as he said.

Daniel: I will explain later. Right now, can you contact my mother and father that I'm here alive and I want them here. Also, we need some place to stay for a while.

Richardson: Oh, uh, I see what I can do.

He stated that seeing it was too shocking for him to believe what he had just told him. The remainder of the army simply return to their vehicles while he walks away to contact his folks. Daniel turned around to see both girls stunned by what they had just witnessed. He can't blame them for their reaction because it's their first time in his world, so he's going to tell them everything about it. Daniel had just told them the truth.

Daniel: So girls, what's with your reactions?

Milly: Uhh... Daniel, what is going on here? I need some answers right now!

Aiwi: Yeah! Same here! Just who are you really?

She joined her side.

Daniel: Well... There's no turning back. Welcome to Parallos universe. In other words, welcome to my world.
