Many years ago, scientists from around the world gathered. They spent years working on an experiment. What it was? No one knew. But what is known is that the scientists succeeded in what they had been working on.
Their experiment was the scientific breakthrough the world was waiting for, it was evolutionary.
This experiment,.... No! This miracle brought about a new era of the world.
The world changed, whether it was for better or for worse, I'll let you decide.
You must be wondering: "What happened?"
Well, the world changed drastically, the Earth that you know was no more. Earth had been separated into 3 layers.
The Original, which we call The Former or Original Ground.
The inner parts of the Earth, which is known as The Underground but people just call it "Down Below".
And then there's the Floating Lands, commonly known as the SkyLands.

The Original Ground is the same but different. The continents are the same and so are the countries, but some knew continents and islands are now present on the surface of the Earth. The residents of this layer are mostly human but some are not so human.

As you would've guessed, along with this development, new fascinating but dangerous species had been brought to light. A new era had begun but along with it came new species some semi human while some just plain strange. Some are species which were supposed to have been dead for years, but had been brought back.

Moving on.....

The Underground is, well, underground. This layer is kinda like a network of tunnels under the Earth's surface, with cities built here and there, some under cities above ground and even some under the ocean or even in the ocean. Mostly monsters and demons live here but some humans find comfort living underneath the surface.  But usually it seems like only scientists live there, though that isn't true.

The Floating Lands, or SkyLands. This layer is made up of various flying cities and lands, mountains, forest and even seas and oceans. (Try imagining that.)
The lands are separated like continents, 5 in total. They are Capitari(C), Leafru(S), Snofri(N), Aerid(E), and Trinity(W).
Many different species live here, but there is a certain hierarchy that is followed. This puts species of a lower class in a bad position, which mostly leads to them residing in the Slums.

Residents of the Slums are mostly vicious monsters who don't care about anything but themselves. They are crazy and ruthless. So families of high authority who can fight would build their manors or homes along the wall, which separates the Slums from the rest of the city, so that they could guard against the monsters. Sometimes they get out of the Slums, slipping past the homes of the Elite Families.
This is when the Hunters come in. They would capture, or kill, if necessary, the monsters. Most of the time the monsters were taken back to the Slums. Well that's what the people are told, not many people outside of the Hunter Squads know whether this is how things are actually done.
Hunters aren't usually allowed to be around Elites, not unless they are a personal guard or if they work under the Elite.
Over the years Hunter Academies have been built all over the SkyLands. The 4 most prestigious ones, which are located in Capitari, are; Owls' Academy(N), Lycaon Prep (Academy)(E), Grizzly's Academy(W), and Serpentine or Anguis Academy(S).
These academies are funded by the royals who rule each part of Capitari.
Capitari has five parts; South, North, East, West and Central. South and Central Capitari are ruled by the same royals, the residents of Central Capitari, who are interested, can choose any of the four prestigious hunting academies but most usually choose Anguis Academy.

Now we follow the life of a young boy who dreams of becoming a famous Hunter. He resides in Central Capitari and must make many difficult decisions.
Will he follow through with his dream or will he back out?
