Also another reason to believe its pre flintstones is the multiple cameos family guy has done with the Flintstones

and theres this one episode call A Picture is Worth A Thousand Bucks Dont know if u have seen it but basically Chris gives Peter a painting he painted then they go to New York where Chris becomes famous then Chris abandons Peter, Peter tries to get Meg famous, Meg and Peter are walking and they end up in Bed Rock, they slowly back away as if this is the "Bad Side" of town and then continue talking.

I couldn't find a video of that so there.
