On the next morning, the Alter-Japanese, including Goro and his siblings, gathered in the room where Henry Jefferson and his other officers had an announcement for everyone. Henry told them about GDI and what their goal is. He tells them the GDI is an acronym for Global Defense Initiative and their goal is to eliminate the threats of their earth. The Alter-Japanese are confused about what it means in their world. He told them that they're not from this earth, he and his group were from an alternate earth where the American revolution has won independence and the British Empire is lost. They were surprised by what he said to them. Then, he explains about the encounter of the green radioactive crystal called tiberium in 1995 when it landed on earth spreading in wildfire and took over every major region in the land. He shows the video of the tiberium corrupting the lands and taking everything they have lived in. This caused Alter-Japanese shivers to the bones and it would be scary if sakuradite might be as dangerous as tiberium. He explains about religious terrorist organization called the Brotherhood of Nod led by Kane the Messiah to destined to use tiberium for the next human revolution, but in reality, it will spread all over earth, wiping out all mankind. The establishment of GDI by United Nation to contain the tiberium and eliminate the terrorism, thus, created a war called tiberium war. He shows them a video of the battle between GDI and Nod fighting in the tiberium wasteland. He told them their technology is different from Britannia and other nations they used for knightmare frames and other vehicles and aircrafts. There also explains about a group of humans who were mutated by tiberium and they called themselves, The Forgotten. They were once enemies of both GDI and Nod because they are mutants, but now, GDI and Forgotten are teaming up against Nod in the second tiberium war, gaining their relationship between humans and mutants. In the third tiberium war, a new enemy called Scrin who wishes to spread all tiberium as their own farm field and eliminate all those who are threatening their operations. The GDI defeated Scrin by destroying the tower, shutting them down permanently. And they defeated Nod from stealing a power for their own purpose. In the fourth tiberium war, the tiberium spread all around the world taking away from remaining human territory, Kane came to GDI council to convince them to work together to stop tiberium spread once and for all, and the council agreed. Henry does not trust Kane so much, but he will try not to let his emotions get to him except a coup came and tried to overthrow the government, but failed. Kane and his followers entered the scrin tower and disappeared from the earth and the tiberium started to turn into dust. The Alter-Japanese have never met alternate humans that do not suffer from the Britannia Empire, but it is sad that they have been through a lot to survive. After telling them to their story, he announce that he will allow recruit alter-humans to join GDI to fight against tyranny and terrorism and bring peace and equally to this world. Most Altar-Japanese, especially Goro Azuma, join GDI to fight for their freedom. He also mentions that alter-humans will be treated as equal better than Britannians treated people as numbers. After the announcement, they went to the recruitment center to join up the ranks of GDI. Goro Azuma is the first one to sign up since he is older than his siblings. Once it's done, he heads back to his new home.

Goro Azuma and his siblings are eating their lunch that GDI gave them. His sister, Kichi, chewed her food on her mouth and she said.

Kichi: Big brother!

Goro: Yes?

Kichi: I heard you joined as a soldier of GDI.

Goro: Indeed, I am. Since I'm older here, I make sure I'll protect both of you.

Koichi: Yeah. But it's shocking to meet an alien coming to our world.

Goro: They're humans from an alternate world. It's different from ours. But they see us as Japanese and real humans. Besides, they survive many tough lives there and they are able to get rid of it.

Koichi: Lucky for them, although I can't get off my head about the tiberium thing. I mean, they're like sakuradite except it kills you if you touch or step on it.

Kichi: Yeah, it is scary.

Goro: Hey, don't be scared, alright. At least their world is healed and they can rebuild their lands.

Koichi: What about our world?

Goro placed his hand on his brother's shoulder.

Goro: We will change our world, I promise that.

He let go of his brother's shoulder. After eating lunch, he heard a ringtone from his new futuristic phone. He checks on it to see a message from GDI recruitment center that it's time to pack up the things and move to his new place to sleep. He checked his bags are packed up and ready to leave. Kichi feels sad to see his older brother leaving for the army. Goro knelt down on her and said.

Goro: Kichi, I promise I will come back in one piece, okay?

She slowly nodded it. As for that, he hugs her big brother as she said.

Kichi: Come back to us, okay?

Goro: Okay.

He stands up and looks at his brother.

Goro: Koichi, watch over your sister.

Koichi: I know. Please don't act like our father. If he is still alive, he will say the same thing.

Goro: Heh. I'm sure our father and mother are happy for us to be safe. Take care.

His brother nodded with a smile. After saying goodbye, he carried his stuff and left the house to go to the GDI army base.

A lot of recruits, especially Goro, stand firmly as they listen to the GDI drill sergeant as he shouted.

GDI drill sergeant: Alright, you maggots. Listen up, we are dealing against the most tyranny nation of this world and I really want to give a shit out of them. They may think they're superior, but they're not! They are humans just like you and me, they can be killed easily by our weapons. The only thing they are superior is because of those fancy robots to do their dirty work. So we turn their own weapon against them. You will train so hard you will never have experienced it before. We will show those imperial scum that the GDI will not allow their crimes unpunished. Do I make myself clear?

GDI recruits: Sir, yes, sir.

GDI drill sergeant: You sound like a sissy to me. I said, do make myself clear!

GDI recruits: Sir, yes, sir!

GDI drill sergeant: Yeah! That's more like it. Now go and train recruits. Go, go, go!

The recruits, especially Goro, went to training as best as they could. They have trained physically for every hour to be tough soldiers if they wanted to survive. After that, they went to shooting training to test their aims to be fit to be a soldier. After that, they do it again and again.

Once it's over, Goro went to the cafeteria to get some food and went to find a seat. He found a seat as he sat there and ate his food. Then suddenly, Tom and his friends appeared and he said,

Tom: Excuse me, may we take a seat here?

Goro: Oh sure! Go ahead. There's plenty more seats here.

Tom and his friends went to sit with him as they were eating their food then they said.

Tom: So... You must be a new recruit. What's your name?

Goro: Goro. Private Goro Azuma, sir.

Jacob: This kid got spirit.

Tom: I'm LT. Tom Smith and this is Sgt. Daniel Cruz.

Daniel: Hello there.

Goro faces three new men as they introduce themselves.

James: I am Cpl. James Wesker of rifleman.

Jacob: I am Sgt. Jacob Parker of zone enforcer.

Daichi: I am Daichi Ito, a combat medic. I am Japanese like you.

Goro: Cool. But, um, are you from...?

Daichi: Oh yes, I'm from my earth. I assure you that Japan is not being colonized by a tyrannical nation. There is freedom in my country and my allies protect us from a threat.

Jacob: Yep. So kid, I see you join the army. The first time?

Goro: Yeah. I wanted to protect my siblings since my parents died.

Daichi: Oh I'm sorry to hear that.

Goro: That's okay. Now we have a chance to free Japan from the Britannia Empire.

Daniel: I hope so. I also wanted to free the Philippines from Britannia as well. We have struggles from the occupation of three nations.

Goro: Huh?

Daniel: It's a long story. We have history at the library we already established so you can read there.

Goro: I'll think about it. Anyway, I'm so enjoying meeting your people coming to our world to give freedom to the Britannia Empire. And it's a good thing that Britannia doesn't exist in your world.

Tom: You should be lucky that George Washington has successfully gained independence and defeated the British Empire on our earth, not to mention that the captain of GSI North Virginia is British.

Goro: British? So they joined the organization called United Nation, correct?

Daniel: Opo, they are now called the United Kingdom to make good relationships with every European country. And they are also likely to do business with every country to support it.

Tom: Mr. Azuma, I would like for you to join my squad.

Goro: Huh? Really?

Tom: Sure. I can use someone like you to have my squad to take down the imperialists and liberate all areas.

Goro: I would love to. I won't let you down.

Henry: That's where you are wrong, Capt. Allen. I have fought in battle before, so I can do the same. Anything else?

GDI officer 2: There is a secret base that britannian have working on a new prototype knightmare frame. We still don't have a clue but we'll do our best. There is also a refinery that has loads of sakuradite. If we destroy it, they won't have time to make more of those knightmares.

Henry: And liberate New Zealand so the people will have their independence and join us to fight against tyranny. A perfect way to start an invasion. I want MCV to be deployed in New Zealand to destroy the Britannian base. Also, who is in charge of Area 8?

GDI officer 1: The name of colonized New Zealand is Viceroy Duke Machell Clark. He has committed numerous crimes by executing civilians as an example of defying his rule.

Jack: Then we shall cut off a leader's head for good.

Henry: Hmm... Are there reports about Area 11?

GDI officer 3: After the death of Prince Clovis, a new replacement named Cornelia Li Britannia, a new viceroy. She is leading her forces against guerilla forces and it seems like she already got them and it's too late for us to save them.

Henry: *Sigh* Those brave men... Send the large divisions somewhere in the north region of Japan. Find a hiding place and establish the base by using MCV. And gather more information about Area 11 so we can know anything there.

GDI officer 3: Yes sir.

The officers leave the room. Jack said to him.

Jack: Mate, you sure you're ready for this?

Henry: Of course, I am. The people of this world have been suffering long enough before we arrive. Now it's time to change the world as best as we can. Britannia believes pride, honor, and glory to fight against their enemy. But what they did is colonize other countries by force and use whatever their means to discriminate against second-class citizens. Let's show those assholes of how we fought not for our own, but to everyone in this world that deserve to be free equally.

Jack: Well, if you say so. Let's give democracy a welcome to this world. How about starting music?

Henry: Right on it.

An MCV drives to the field and transforms into a construction yard and the structures popping out from the ground. Several V-35 gunships landed on the base as the troops went out and prepared for battle. Goro followed by Lt. Tom Smith squad as they prepared to liberate New Zealand. Two GDI orca bombers came and drop two sakuradite bombs as it planted on the ground and grows into sakuradite crystals. Goro saw what the GDI did for making sakuradite crystals and made him feel amazed. Two GDI refineries were established and two GDI harvesters went up and gathered the sakuradite to use it for purpose. Goro met up with LT. Smith and his squad as he went on top of a small crate and said to them.

Tom: Alright, listen up, soldiers. While the other divisions went to liberate New Zealand, we were assigned to find the enemy secret base for making a prototype knightmare frame probably to destroy their enemies such as us. If we find it, we can either capture or destroy the prototype. The other divisions are with us so there won't be a problem. Are you ready to fight?

Goro & riflemen squad: Yes sir!

Tom: Let's kick some imperial ass! Hoorah!

Goro & riflemen squad: Hoorah!

They went into GDI guardian APC and rode in it as they went to the battlefield. Goro and his fellow squads check their weapons if some are jamming during the fight. After Goro checked his weapon, Cpl. James Wesker beside him as he asked.

James: Hey kid, a first time to fight?

Goro: I guess so. It's better to survive the fight or die for nothing.

James: Don't worry, Azuma. You will survive the battle. Just remember the training, fight and survive. That's how it works for war.

Goro nodded at him. The GDI divisions headed in the direction of going to find a britannian secret base.

Somewhere in the region, the city has become a warzone. The rebels have tried to push back but the britannian military forces are too strong and they outnumbered them. The new zealanders are getting out of the city ruins by using a train but it was being blocked by britannian blockade. The britannian troops are hunting them down relentlessly by the order of viceroy. The rebels have few members left to defend their people but it's not enough to fight against sutherlands, tanks, and APCs. A britannian tank stopped as a hatch opens to see britannian commander saw them too late to escape so he make smirks as he said.

Britannian commander: Well, well, well, looks like Eight are nowhere to run. They should learn to never fight back against the almighty Holy Britannian Empire. Men! Open fire!

The britannian forces are aiming their weapons at both rebels and civilians on the train. Their lives are over as the civilians hold on together while the rebels are sweating and shaking to never defeat them. Until that day, something hits on the tank at the light speed of the bullet.

Britannian commander: What the hell? Who fire-

The tank exploded in flames. The britannian forces turn around to see a large number of GDI forces come out of nowhere and they are preparing for attack.

Britannian soldier 1: What the hell?!

Britannian soldier 2: Who are those guys?

Britannian captain: Be quiet! They're just like other terrorists! Attack them!

The sutherlands went at high speed and were ready to open fire. But they were shot down by zone snipers using anti-tank rifles. GDI attack bikes move in and shoot rockets to destroy britannian APCs and tanks. The GDI shockwave troopers and riflemen squads went to shoot at britannian infantry forces as they were gunned down so much. The New Zealanders are shocked and surprised to see a new faction with military arsenals save their lives. A GDI lieutenant came to the N.Z rebel leader and said.

GDI lieutenant: You alright?

N.Z rebel leader: U-Uh. Yes.

GDI lieutenant: Good. How many people are there?

N.Z rebel leader: Well, we have hundreds of them in the train but we were blocked by britannian blockade. We can't get through them.

GDI lieutenant: Alright, we'll get you guys out of here. We will clear out the blockade so your people can escape.

N.Z rebel leader: Thank you, sir. But why are you helping us?

GDI lieutenant: Why? It's because this belongs to the people of New Zealand and we're here to take back your country. Men, move out!

A lieutenant left in a hurry. A rebel leader is surprised by a new group that wanted to free his country so he trusted them to liberate their nation from Britannia.

The britannian infantry forces are trying to repel against the new enemy, but the GDI have vast numbers the britannians won't stand a chance. They even sent sutherlands to take care of them, unfortunately, the GDI new knightmare frame called Liberation Knights have come to destroy them.

Sutherland pilot: Damn you!

Sutherland is going to kill a GDI infantry group when he was killed by zone troopers using rail guns to shoot him inside a cockpit. The GDI jet troopers kills every britannian ground units to clear a path for GDI ground forces. The town is almost taking over as britannian is started to failing to exterminate the N.Z rebels. The GDI reaches to britannian base as they destroy every enemy structures in the area. A sutherland was deployed early before being shot down by orca Mk II. They also destroys britannian refinery so they won't able to make more knightmares. The enemy base was destroyed as the GDI sent down two offensive crawlers to send more ground forces to march toward Wellington.

Meanwhile, the britannian blockade units were blocking the tunnel to prevent Eights from escaping.

Britannian knightmare pilot 1: That's weird? I can't contact other units. You?

Britannian knightmare pilot 2: I got nothing. Something has jammed the in-comms and we cannot contact the viceroy.

Then suddenly, they were being blasted by an orca battleship using a railgun accelerator.

Britannian soldier: What the hell is that!

The orca battleship blasting at britannian knightmares in the area then GDI ground forces arrive and kill every britannian infantry that tries to fight back. Exhausted and outnumbered by the enemy, the remaining britannian soldiers surrendered. The train carries both new zealanders and rebels successfully entering the tunnel to safety.

At viceroy palace in Wellington, Viceroy Duke Machell Clark is furious as he shouted at his officers.

Duke Machell: What do you mean you can't contact the units in the ghetto?

Britannian officer 1: I mean, we cannot contact them. Something has been jamming the signals.

Duke Machell: Does this so-called Zero behind this?

Britannian officer 2: No, sir. We still don't know if it was Zero behind it. Whoever manage to fight back and jamming the signals must be a new terrorist faction.

Duke Machell: Then sent reinforcement! They are just another terrorist weaklings. They can't manage to fight through here.

Suddenly, they heard explosions and he looked out the window to see a large number of GDI air fleets and ground forces headed this way. He began to sweat as he was getting paranoid seeing many of the unknown army through the cities marching towards his palace.

Britannian officer 1: V-Viceroy. Your orders.

Duke Machell: Don't you stand there, shoot them! Just shoot them! And defend this place at all costs!

Outside the viceroy palace, britannian soldiers were on high alert and went tk guard the place. Behind the palace, the britannian guards were being killed by Delta Eagle Force, special GDI commandos to take a risky mission and they don't show mercy to the enemy. The leader of DEF named George T. Russell said to a special agent named Tanya Sanchez.

Russell: Agent Tanya, make a hole.

Tanya: Whatever you say.

She planted a C4-explosive on the wall and they went to safe distance as she shouted.

Tanya: Fire in the hole!

Pressing a detonator, the C4-explosive exploded, creating a hole for the entrance.

Rusell: Nice! Come on, let's kill that viceroy.

The DEF team enters the palace and kills every enemy to prevent them reaching the viceroy. A sniper commando namd Kurt P. Wolfgang aka Jäger, shooting at britannian soldiers using P90 submachine gun. A special commando named Nikolai Kazakov aka Spectre, kills a few of britannian armed personnel using a shotgun. Lastly, a zone commando named Michael R. Simmons mow down the enemy using his minigun. After they killed everyone in the palace, they reached the viceroy office room as a few of britannian royal guards aimed their guns at them and Viceroy Duke Machell was behind them. He is feeling angry at invaders as he shouted.

Duke Machell: Who are you! How dare you invade my Area 8! Who gives you a right to waltz here like you own this place.

Tanya: A right that you stole from this country and took away people's identity.

Duke Machell: This is a property of the Holy Britannian Empire. They are just Eight, they deserve to be discriminated against according to our national policy. They can go to hell.

Russell and Tanya nodded at each other as they pointed their guns at them. Duke Machell wide open for they are deadly serious to kill them.

Russell: Then you shall die.

Russell and his team open fire rapidly as Viceroy Duke Machell and his royal guards are getting shot multiple times. They dropped on the floor releasing blood coming out of them.

Spectre: Heh. So much for that viceroy. He's just a cowardly nobleman.

Russell contacted the comms as he said.

Russell: This is Commando Russell of DEF, the viceroy is dead. I repeat, the viceroy is dead. It's time to liberate these people.

The large GDI divisions found the location of the britannian secret base. They invade the enemy base as britannian forces try to fight back. The britannian defenses are poorly defended against the GDI advanced army. The Britannians are taking so many deaths and are outnumbered so they have to retreat while some decide to surrender. They enter the secret base as it is a huge maze inside the building. LT. Smith, Sgt. Daniel, Pvt. Goro and other squads went ahead alongside with Cpl. Wesker, Sgt. Parker, and combat medic Daichi units. The place is well-defended by britannian infantry forces and security system. The GDI receives 12 casualties on their side as the Britannians put up a resistance. Next, two sutherlands came and shot at them, taking down more than 10 casualties on the GDI side.

Daniel: Shit! We have to fall back, Lt. Smith!

Tom: Right. Fall back. We'll regroup and retaliate.

The GDI units understood his order and fell back to regroup and fight back. Goro was running while shooting back at the enemy, a sutherland shoots a grenade launcher at them. The explosions of a small number of GDI infantry forces may have caused Goro to go to the other room separately from his squad. He keeps running until he enters the room. The room is too dark so he went to find a light switch and turn on the lights to see a complete design of prototype knightmare frame.

As he stepped closer, he could hear someone hiding behind the large crates so he pointed his rifle at it and said.

Goro: This is GDI! Come out now and surrender.

???: Okay, okay! Don't shoot!

A person came out of hiding and was revealed to be a britannian scientist. He raises his hands up to see him surrendering. Goro goes to him while holding his rifle right at him. He asked a scientist a question.

Goro: What is this?

Britannian scientist: T-That is a prototype.

Goro: A prototype? Tell me more.

Britannian scientist: W-Well, the emperor wanted to have a knightmare that is so much stronger compared to Lancelot, but it is stronger than the original one. We're almost finished and ready to transfer until the enemy, which is you, came and seized it. Now it's over.

Goro: Can you at least the name of this prototype?

Britannian scientist: We called it, Dark Lancelot.

Goro: Dark Lancelot.

He turned his head at the finished knightmare frame then he brought up his idea so he said.

Goro: Do you have an activation key?

Britannian scientist: U-Um yes?

Goro: Then let's make a deal, once I use that knightmare and liberate New Zealand, I promise that you will be treated humanely then you will work with us to liberate every country.

Britannian scientist: Work with you? Hmm... Sounds tempting. *Sigh* Fine. I'll do it only to survive.

Goro: Good. Now do you know where the knightmare frame is?

Meanwhile, LT. Tom and his forces are fighting back against britannian forces in the huge corridor. The missile squads arrive and shoot down two sutherlands. But the GDI needed more reinforcement as more britannian reinforcements came to push them back. His men were hit as he dragged his comrades to safety and Daichi patted him the bandages. Sgt. Parker shoots every enemy infantry force as long as he can.

Tom: Damn those britannians! Hey, where is the reinforcement?

Daniel: They will arrive with our knightmares just a few minutes away.

James: I don't think we'll hold on for a few minutes. We will be dead by then.

Tom: Hold on. Where's Pvt. Azuma?

Daichi: I thought he was with your squad when you ordered us to fall back and regroup, sir.

A sutherland goes forward as he shoots GDI infantry forces.

Sutherland pilot: They will regret coming to Area 8. They are no match for the mighty Holy Britannian Empire.

Then suddenly, a dark lancelot crashes through the wall and destroys Sutherland at the side by using the swords. The GDI infantry forces are surprised a knightmare just saved them. But they didn't know that a pilot controlling a knightmare is Goro Azuma. He looked at the screen to see more sutherlands coming here.

Goro: Okay. I do remember one of the resistance groups used one of those knightmare types. Let's see what this thing is made of.

He moves a dark lancelot as he attacks a few sutherlands in close combat. As he destroys them, he shoots slash harkens at few sutherlands in every part of the knightmare frames. Goro pulls out a KMA-2 rifle and shoots at them. And then he draws out double saber swords and destroys all of the sutherlands in the corridor. After that, he went back to LT. Smith units as he kneel down his knightmare and open a cockpit to reveal him to them.

Goro: All enemies are eliminated, sir.

Daniel: Goro Azuma? Damn you did good there. How did you operate that knightmare?

Goro: I read a manual. Also, this is the prototype knightmare frame that we're after.

Tom: Good work, Pvt. Azuma. We can use you for help.

Goro: Right away, sir. I'll lead the way.

Goro and the entire GDI infantry forces ran towards each corridor as they successfully defeated britannian forces defending the secret base. Once it is done, they take over an enemy secret base and serve to build more knightmares for GDI.

The GDI have succeeded to defeat every britannians in every region of New Zealand. Both rebels and civilians have gained their independence from their country and made a new flag of their own. They also reorganized the old nation and made a new name called Commonwealth of New Zealand or CNZ, for short.

They regained their government and military and trained soldiers to defend their country and fight against the Britannia regime. With the help of GDI, they recognize them as liberators so they make an ally with them for the things they have done to free their country. They also allowed GDI to establish the base for extra security. A new CNZ prime minister also likes trading sakuradites for their economy and Henry agrees to it. Both GDI have first allies in the alternate world, hoping to end the war once and for all.

Mission Accomplished

Goro has been called by Henry as he enters the room. He stood firmly to meet a leader of the GDI organization. Henry said to him.

Henry: You must be Pvt. Goro Azuma.

Goro: Yes sir. I was with the LT. Smith squad to achieve our mission.

Henry: You did a good job fighting Britannians on that day. And it made me interested when you controlled a prototype knightmare frame that beat a whole sutherlands.

Goro: Indeed, sir. Also, a britannian scientist have agree to join us to work on more knightmare frames.

Henry: That's also good. No matter how different they are, we give them a welcome to join the fight against the regime.

Goro: Um, sir. May I ask, what is it you want me here?

Henry: Well, I was thinking since you ride on that knightmare frame called Dark Lancelot, correct?

Goro: Yes sir.

Henry leaned closer to him as he smiled thinking that he had special potential within him and learned to operate prototype knightmare frames so he got an idea. He said to him,

Henry: Would you like to join Global Elite Knight Corp., Mr. Azuma?

Goro: Huh? Me?

Henry: Yes. You have potential to fight against Britannian and also, you have a dark lancelot which is worth the battlefield. The Global Elite Knight Corp. might be needed for the best of the best to take down stronger enemies using a knightmare frame. We have commandos using knightmares because of their skills and determination and I need another member. So, will you join?

Goro takes time to think about his decision then he replies.

Goro: Yes sir. I'll do anything to free not only Japan, but the entire world.
