BACKSTORY >> Luciana, or better known as Ana to anyone close to her, was raised at court in Islinel being the daughter of the king's trusted adviser and largest gemstone supplier. She was surrounded by a lot of surface level beauty but she longed for more- she wanted something real and natural. She knew how to be elegant, but was constantly scolded by her mother for being too tomboyish as she snuck out with the two princes, one being a year older and the other a year younger. They always made her feel like she fit in around a bunch of prim and proper women with their boisterous and proud husbands by their sides. As a Duchess, she found herself in a position to marry her best friend, but she didn't want what was easy, because she knew she could never love him in a way a wife should love her husband. She could never see the spare to the throne in a romantic way. She begged her parents to enter her in Yvia's selection, and she was granted her wish after much huffing by her father. She prayed she'd find real love there so she wouldn't come home to a wedding she never wanted.
