In a moment, you witnessed your life hanging at the tip of a gun pointer. A massive gulp got stuck in your throat. Legs began to tremble, the knee caps appeared to shake vigorously. A spark of fear washed your whole skeleton at one go.
Soon your eyes met his, the same brown orbs which glowed by the reflecting light rays, just above the masked portion of this face. His eyebrows crumbled into a questioning look. "Y/N?"
And with the next flap of your eyelids, the guy was laying flat on the stone, macking a fuss which echoed in the empty canvas of the street. Motion probably got constricted by the body. It was as if only his lifeless body was what left behind. The shooting steel rested beside his loose palm.
Your lips curled up as you sensed your palpitations calm a little. This was your chance. You wanted to run away immediately but your heart froze your feet. Crouching on his side, you began feeling his skin. It was scorching hot, literally that temperature was burning his entire anatomy. You felt his forehead, cheeks, neck, arms, yet not a single spot seemed to be in a colder accent.
"Aish he's so hot! What should I do?" you bit your edge while processing in your brain cells. "It's the guy from the garage. I don't even know his name. Argh god, please tell me what to do!"
Then the gun sought your attentions. You reached out for it and was amazed at how heavy it was.
"Gun, a real gun! I-" you took a quick glance at his unconscious body. Later you scanned his entire frame for any other life endangering tool, his pockets, shoes, jacket, also you did not hesitate to feel his abs for a clue though it left you with a slight shade of pink on your cheeks. But it was all empty and safe, more likely he was broke since you did not even trace a wallet with him.
"You mister," you shook him cautiously, "Hello!!"
A muffled note escaped from beneath his mask, "Take me home, pl-please..."
You felt bad for his pitiful conditions and suspicious too for his owning a real weapon. Nonetheless, you still did not know if he had its license. Questions mugged up the lobes of your cerebrum and without any prior warning, a warm hand clasped yours. You flinched on noticing his orbs staring at you. Tears were flooding in those sockets who asked for help.
"Help me, Y/N," and his eyelids joined back with the conjunctivae as tear drops slid through his temples.
Anger and sympathy attacked you by doubling their forms. "Yah but tell me your address mister! And what's your name! You don't even have a phone! Can you hear me?"
..................................
A white cab paused before the entrance of a house. Your shoes cascaded down the ride after dealing with the payment methods.
The guy laid peacefully in the rear seat. His face was growing more and more red. You pulled him out of the vehicle and dispatched it.
His arm was hanging on your shoulder whereas you had fixed your arm at his waist. As his heavy body appeared to squeeze your form, you decided to give him a piggyback ride but to sooner than later, you realized it to be your worst fault.
His face sunk into the crook of your neck, his warm breaths meandered to your cleavage that was exposed because of the tension on your back. Your cheeks became utterly tinted with ruby.
"Ack, this is_ " you breathed, "Aunt Ailiseu! Please come out for a moment. Aunty!" Your squeals trotted through the key hole, inside your home sweet home.
The front door flung open, revealing a woman in her mid thirties. Her eyes halted wide open at the menacing moving creatures before her.
"Holy god! What is that on your back?" She sauntered to your struggling limbs while she tried to convince herself for it to be a pure human who was yet alive.
"Aunty, don't stand like that! Help me carrying him inside!” you released, breathing heavily.
Sharing his weight on both of your shoulders, you two carried him in and made him land onto a couch.
"Aish, my back," you groaned, "I need a drink, aunty."
Sips of water seeped down your oesophagus, relieving your stress. You were completely drained because of the feverish boy. This particular boy had always been in your life either at your rescue when trouble knocked at your doorstep or vice versa but there was one common in all, that is 'trouble'. It was like the clue to your bonds, although you were not sure about its current status. Overall you did not feel the same discomfort now as your first meet at the car workshop, if not too much attention is shared to the gun.
Perhaps that was not your very first meet either, was it? Take a guess.
"He has a very high temperature," Miss Ailiseu said, keeping her palm on the boy's crown.
"I've some pills though. Here, maybe this will work," you spoke, picking out the pack of parasitamol tablets.
"I don't think only medicines will work in this phase. Some homemade remedies would be better. Wait I'll bring something useful."
"But the druggist said that two pills are enough for any temperature."
"They always say that for publicity. Okhay let's feed him one and see. Then we can apply other ways out in case."
The black mask was finally removed from his boiling visage. Mrs. Yoon sprinkled some liquid on the face of the insentient guy as you unleashed the tablet out of the foil.
After passing over a glass of water, you watched your aunt speaking softly to him for urging him to take the medicine. Probably she would not have dared to be that cool near him if only she knew of his acquiring a metal revolver. However, that was not the main issue for the hour.
He took the pastille and his drooping eyes locked at you. "Where am I, Y/N?" It was the first time you saw his clear face without a barrier.
You parted your lips, nevertheless, he slumped back onto the sponge before you could explain him the turmoil.
"There you go again. He's in need of severe rest now. Don't disturb him. I'll get an ice bag." Saying so Mrs. Yoon strolled to the kitchen.
............................
Clockhands ticked to eleven. You finished slurping the cup of ramen at the point when your aunt was getting ready to move out.
"Are you sure you won't need help?"
"Of course. Don't worry," you flashed a beam.
She sighed, "Fine then, keep a check on his temperature from time to time. I guess your friend will be able to walk in the morning. Fingers crossed."
You mentally slapped yourself for addressing him as your friend inspite of knowing not a single fact about his biodata. "Un yeah, hopefully. You should go now. Daniel would be waiting."
Giving an agreeable nod, she retired outside and softly clamped the door back.
You heaved deeply. Casually, you looked up to face the sleeping koala on the sofa, hugging a cushion. A checkle bubbled your lips. "He looks so cute while sleeping, just like a kid."
But again, on noticing your purse, you remembered the deadly armament. You fished the derringer and scrutinized it carefully. The body of the gat had a replantation of old metal with some flaking. The left grip had a chip at heel, grips were mother of pearl. It was a Merwin and Holbert small frame double action revolver, quite expensive and close to the rare species.
"I wonder why he has a gun with him. Is he a Criminal? Or a cop?!"

So how was the chapter? To be honest, I don't really have too much knowledge about guns and antiques but I'm interested in them. I did a little research before writing the last part. Hope you'll like it. Thank you for reading^^ Please don't forget to vote, comment and share. Love ya!
