Juwon went up the stairs as the boys were getting ready for bed. Gini had told him how to differentiate the boys but it wasn't a walk in the park. Taye had similar dimples to his but it only showed when he laughed. Kenny wasn't as tall as the two other boys and Idowu had the softest look. It was hard but it was only day one and he knew before the week was over, he'd know each of them.

Gini had gone to bed early so Juwon checked on the boys before turning in himself. He had to tell Muna to get him someone that could design their rooms to their taste because for now, there was no personality in any of them. He got in bed after cleaning his teeth and tried to sleep. He wanted to make an attempt to see if Gini was sleeping but didn't want to disturb her at the same time so he turned his back to her and closed his eyes.

Juwon tried to force himself to sleep but it didn't work because he kept asking himself if he did the right thing. Nothing made sense anymore. Gini wouldn't want to run away with her boyfriend if she had three kids she was looking after. He had probably jumped to conclusion too quickly... that, he'd take the blame for. What confused him the most was what happened with Big Fred. Her sarcastic remarks made it seemed like she was clueless about it but he couldn't be sure.

As he battled with his conscience, he heard Gini sniff. "Gini?" He turned.

"I didn't mean to wake you," she said and sniffed.

"I wasn't sleeping."

Juwon dragged her closer to his body and Gini pushed him away.

"Hey, hey," he cajoled. She went lax in his arms as he pulled her closer and started crying loudly. "Gini, please stop crying."

"How? You hate me."

"Gini, just tell your side of the story. How do you want me to think differently when you're not saying anything?"

"I want to hate you too. You made him go broke, how could you do that to anyone?"

Juwon sighed and stood from the bed then went to the sofa near the balcony. He took the cover off it and covered himself. She could have simply talked about them but she had to bring him up. He didn't hear Gini sniff again but he couldn't sleep either so his eyes remained opened for the rest of the night.

Juwon stood up from the chair by five and ran for two hours. By the time he returned, he was smelling like sweat and the boys were running around outside with Gini giving them the look. Immediately she spotted him, she took in a deep breath. Juwon dropped a peck on her cheek since the kids were suddenly interested in their interaction.

"Hey, J," one of them called.

"Hey. Did you guys sleep well?"

"Yea. Your bed is soft."

"Technically, it's yours now."

"You're right," he said with a smirk.

Juwon knew that was Kenny, he always had the smartest retort. Juwon waved at them and went into the house. When he was done showering, he went into the kitchen to make himself a cup of smoothie. As he took it to the dinning table, he saw Gini sitting there.

"We need to talk," she said.

"Okay." He sat and took a sip of his drink.

"The kids should be in school right now but since we moved here, they can't."

"Oh. I thought they were on holiday or something."

"They aren't."

"I'll tell Muna to find them a school."

"I'll find one myself. I don't want her doing anything for me."

He raised his brows at her tone. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means you told her and your friends about your conspiracy and that's the reason they were so cold towards me."

Juwon frowned. "A conspiracy? Really, Gini?" She shrugged and he tried not to lose it. "I've a scar on my face..."

She shrugged. "Can we focus on the children's school?"

"Muna will find a school," he said.

"Okay."

"I'll be going in to the office later today."

"Have fun, J."

He shook his head in annoyance and went upstairs. Juwon rushed to get dressed and drove out of the house. Gini was annoying him and he wanted to get out of the house as quickly as possible. He got to the office and said hi to Muna who was working at her desk.

"Should I get the boys around for a boys' night out?" Muna asked after he settled down.

"I don't know yet. Gini had a triplet." he started. He had filled her in on the surprise via text but he wanted to hear her take now.

"Are they yours?"

"Yea. It's amazing that I've always wanted a big family and I got one in the space of a day."

She smiled. "That's nice."

"But things don't add up anymore," he paused. "Gini knows about the revenge plan."

"You abandoned that, didn't you mention it to her?"

"I didn't. I just left the book I used to write in whenever I'm angry on the bed for her to see. They contain some really dark thoughts, maybe too dark to have made her read through it."

"Why would you do that though?"

"Because I was angry and thought she needed to hurt too. Turns out I was kinda wrong about the situation."

"What are you going to do?"

He took his seat and opened his laptop. "I don't know."

"Okay, I need to get back to work then. We'll talk later."

Juwon nodded then sent her a mail of what he needed for the kids. By the close of the day, Muna had a list of schools ready for him along with the contact details of an interior decorator for the bedrooms. Before he left for home, Muna came in to talk to him.

"I see you spotting a wedding ring," she began.

He folded his arms. "So?"

"Defensive much? You said you were going on a date not getting married."

"I was going to propose on the date."

"And you couldn't say anything to me or your friends? I know we've brought some negative energy into your relationship with her but that doesn't mean you should annihilate us from your marriage or engagement."

"What would you have said if I'd told you?"

"That you should get a prenup."

He folded his arms. "Exactly why I didn't tell you?"

"Did you get a prenup?"

"I didn't because I didn't know I was getting married."

"How exactly did that come about then?"

"I proposed and she suggested marriage."

"So you went along with it?"

"I wanted it. I wanted her, don't you get it?" He was exhausted from constantly explaining him, he wanted Gini, always had and always would.

"I don't but that's not on you." She straightened the files on his table.

"Fair enough."

"Isn't it strange that she suggested it though?"

He let out his breath. "I really don't know. I was awake all through the night thinking about all of this and I'm sure she stayed up crying."

"That's not goodvfor newly weds."

"I have everything I've ever wanted and it doesn't feel good because it's happening the wrong way."

"I think you should get some rest, start with that and everthing else will fall into place."

"I will, thanks. It's almost six and I need to return to my family."

"Okay."

He carried his suitcase and drove home. He got some cookies and chips on his way home for the kids and probably Gini. When he got home, the boys were watching cartoon in the theater room. It was still surreal that he had three kids that were almost teenagers. It was even more crazy that Gini did all the work herself for ten years. It was shocking and impressive. How she did it on her own he'd never know but it was time for him to do his part now that they were in his life. For that reason alone, he was ready to let everything go and forgive Gini.

Juwon smiled when the kids came to welcome him as he stood by the entrance of the room. He passed them the bag of goodies and they scrambled upstairs. Gini spared him a glance then said a barely audible hello. He went to her and kissed her lightly on the lips.

"Have you had dinner?"

"Was waiting for you to come home."

He sat by her side and held her slim hand. "I appreciate that, birdie. I also want to say that I forgive you, for everything."

"Forgive me? J, I really love you but you're starting to really get on my nerves." she all but snapped.

"I was trying to start over."

"Then you should be apologizing to me."

"For what exactly? I don't even know what you want from me, really. I'm trying here and you're just in this little bubble shutting me out."

Gini looked towards the entrance and spoke, "I don't want us to fight in front of the kids."

He stood and put his hands in his pockets. "We're going to keep it cordial as you suggested."

"Thank you. I'll get the boys so we can have dinner."

"I'll join you guys, I need to take a shower first."

"Take your time."

Juwon called the kids to go down for dinner on his way to the bedroom and when he got out of the bathroom, they were on his bed waiting for him.

"Am I in trouble?" he asked jokingly as he rubbed his wet hair with a towel.

"No."

"Taye?"

The boys laughed and he realized they were probably used to people using that method to know who was who.

"Sit down, dad."

"Oh boy, what's going on?"

"I'm Taye and I just want to say that we're happy to finally meet you."

He grinned. "I'm happy to meet you too. I have been waiting for a moment like this since forever." They hugged his slightly wet body and kissed his face. Juwon didn't know how his heart could take all the love they were showing him. He was close to crying like a baby. "Is there anything you guys want that you don't have?"

"Taye wants his own computer, Kenny wants a basketball court and I want a pet. I'm Idowu by the way."

"Can you guys stop teasing me? I know who is who already." He didn't but he was close. "What pet do you want?"

"A dog."

"Anyone else want a pet?" he asked with a smile.

"Can I get a cat?" Taye asked after a while.

"Yep."

"I want a computer also and a cellphone and then the basketball court," Kenny said.

"Okay, I'll see what I can do. I think you should go down to Gini, she's waiting."

They rubbed his head and hugged him before leaving. Juwon got dressed quickly and joined his precious family at the table.
