Juwon was in a good mood all through the day, even Muna's weird glances couldn't stop him. His friends were coming into town and Gini was going to spend some days with him. His initial thought was to take everyone to the resort instead of having them at his home, but he wanted that experience for only himself and Gini. If he was going to test run his investment, he had to do it right which meant with the woman of his dreams.

He was starting to forget how much he used to resent Gini. He was simply glad she was back into his life. Like the Holy Book said, "old things are passed away". He sometimes got skeptical about their relationship as he rightfully should, but he didn't let that deter anything.

Juwon drove out of the house with Muna sitting silently by his side. She sighed as he drove but he paid her no mind. He knew she was worried about his rekindled relationship with Gini but there was nothing neither of them could do to stop it. There was a force pulling them together and he couldn't complain about it.

Juwon plugged his phone to the aux cord and sang along to the song playing from his speakers. He thought about all the fun he was going to have with his friends. It was awesome that they were coming around as they were more adventurous than him. They'd make Gini happy with their crazy ideas. His phone rang and he bursted into sheepish smiles as he saw Roman calling.

"Hey, bro," he answered.

"Jay! Jay-jay!!"

"Romaaannnn!!!"

Roman laughed as Juwon dragged his name. "Sir, yes sir!" he replied.

"Where are you?"

"On my way, are the boys there yet?"

"Yea, I'm going to get them from the bus stop. Gbenga brought a friend along."

"Really?"

"Yea, I'll call you back when I get them. See you soon, bro."

"Bye."

Juwon looked over at Muna who looked like she was lost in her own world. He fixed his eyes back on the road and arrived at the bus stop after several minutes. He was yet to get out of the car when he saw his friends coming towards him. Femi, a friend he met before he got his life back on track knocked on the window. He was wearing a white durag as he usually does and Juwon opened the car door to enthusiastically hug him. Gbenga joined them and Juwon hugged him also then was introduced to the friend he brought along, Collins.

Collins laughed shyly when Muna got out of the car to greet the boys. Juwon studied him well and took note of his average height, slightly skinny stature and Mohawk hair. He wasn't what he'd consider Muna's type but since he smiled as soon as he saw her, he could only guess he liked Muna. The earlier she was off his hands, the better for him.

Juwon helped the boys with their bags and shooed them into his black suv when they didn't stop laughing and reminiscing. He looked fondly at his friends as they all got in then drove them to an eatery to get lunch. Femi sat beside Juwon and asked about the resort. He was a construction site worker but couldn't take on more jobs at the time Juwon started his project. They talked about the ups and downs of starting an investment so big and Femi occasionally pat Juwon on the back with his beefy hand as he expressed his grievances.

When the food they ordered arrived, Juwon didn't touch his meal as it was mostly from grains. Instead, he sipped on a chilled glass of water. Gbenga was talking under his breath with his friend, Collins and Juwon hoped they stopped long enough for Collins to engage Muna in a conversation. He wanted Muna in a relationship so she could be too busy with hers to worry about his. It looked like Muna was content with making the job her partner and that didn't sit well with him at all.

"How's the job, Gbenga?" Juwon asked when their plates were cleared.

"Great as usual, I have lots of help and I'm never as stressed as the other doctors," Gbenga explained before taking a sip of his cold Cola drink.

"Right." Gbenga was Juwon's Dentist before they eventually became close friends.

"I haven't seen you back in the city in so long. What's in this lonely town that got your wandering ass to stay?" Gbenga looked around the empty eatery as he spoke.

"Hey, hey, bro, don't slander where I grew up," Juwon replied jokingly.

They all knew why he came into town about two years ago, what they didn't understand was why he was spending so long in a town he used to speak so lowly about.

"It's not so bad though, it just feels like we're in slo-mo."

Juwon shook his head at Femi's comment. "You're spending three days max with me, you both better get used to this chilled life. This is how we roll now."

"That goes without saying," Muna muttered under her breath.

Juwon stood from the table ready to go, "Ready for a nap?"

"Dude, what? When am I going to see the site?" Femi stood after him.

"Not today. Let's go home, we could all use some rest... and shower," he added jokingly as he sniffed the air.

He would have thought his friends would be happy about the talk of getting a break, but they looked so forlorn as they all got into the car. They surely couldn't have been expecting him to jump into some random activity with them immediately they arrived.

Juwon took his friends home and told Muna to show them around before excusing himself. He hadn't seen nor called Gini that day and he needed to be in close contact with her so he could convince her to spend some nights with him...and his friends. He was ready to emotionally blackmail her for it because he knew how pig headed she got when it came to sleeping over.

Juwon drove to Gini's house first and when he knocked without getting any answer, he drove to the store. When he got there, he saw Gini in one of her cute colorful outfits attending to customers. He gave her a peck then helped her in packing some items. Juwon followed the customers out when they were done and locked the door before flipping the CLOSED sign.

"Hey, Mister. I've things to sell you know," Gini said smiling.

"Just a moment, birdie,"

"Okay."

He took her hand and she followed him to the back of the store. "Why does it feel like I haven't seen you in years?"

"You probably just miss me."

Juwon opened the door to the break room and got Gini a seat before sitting on the table. "That should be my diagnosis. I really have it bad for you, it's like we're still teenagers."

"You make it sound like a bad thing." Gini looked at him and asked, "Are you okay?"

"I am. My friends are around," he said slowly.

She smiled, "Really? That's so nice, what are you guys going to be doing?"

"Several things, will you join us? Please," he added.

"Sure. It'd be fun seeing you with your friends."

"So you're going to be sleeping over?"

"Must I?''

"It'd make me happy," he touched his chest to look more desperate.

"I'll be sleeping over then."

Gini came closer to him and hugged him as he sat. "Are you okay though?"

"I'm fine. I was just scared you were going to turn me down."

"Why would I do that?" She touched his face as she asked.

"I was over thinking it."

"Don't, because I love you. Just know I'm going to be leaving town soon."

"Then I'll be leaving right after you."

Gini's finger went to his jeans button as she kissed his neck.

"Don't you have things to sell?" Juwon asked as her kisses got closer to his mouth.

"Oh, you want to make fun of me?" Gini bit his ear and laughed when he yelped.

"I could never," Juwon said and kissed her as she started rubbing him through the jeans. He stood from the table and grabbed her waist. "Remove the leggings."

Gini pulled the spandex material off along with her panties. Juwon pushed her gently to the table and nibbled on her neck as he teased her nipples. He tore the condom wrapper he retrieved from his pocket and wore it. Gini bent slightly as he entered her from behind. He led her to his car after they cleaned up as best as they could.

"I think I'm still owing you some money."

"Yep, but it'll be even once you return the groceries you didn't give out."

He looked over at her to reply as he drove. "I'm sorry for lying but I wanted to help."

"I'm not that desperate."

"As you've proven time and time again."

He didn't regret buying so much from her store. It had made her happy at the time he did it and that was all that really mattered.
