Gini watched as Juwon slept. Her phone rang again and she reached out for it. Juwon had his head on her chest so Gini remained in bed and talked to her sister. The boys just got the laptop they were promised and refused to go to bed. Mama had called her twice already to talk to them and they promised to behave.

"Are they asleep?" she asked softly so as not to wake her boyfriend.

"Not yet."

"Give Kenny the phone." She knew her boys well and knew when it came to getting in trouble, they followed Kenny's lead.

"Gini," he whined before she could admonish him.

"Go to bed now."

"Gini, we need to check some things on it."

"Do I have to repeat myself?" There was a steely edge to her question and she hoped he read the meaning behind her words.

"No, ma'am."

"Good night. Give the phone to mama."

Mama put the phone on speaker and she said goodnight to her other sons. Juwon shifted and Gini rubbed his head before going to sleep.

Gini woke first and saw Juwon on the other side of the bed. She rolled to his side and pressed her face to his back. The tattoo on his back still amazed her. He just wasn't someone that'd ever get one, at least to her knowledge. The fact that the woman he dated gave him the little gift made her uncomfortable. She had branded him and Juwon had allowed her to do so. Maybe she was reading too much meaning into it and it probably wasn't as much a big deal as she was making it out to be. Yea, she was jealous but that didn't take away the fact that it was weird.

Gini got up from the bed and wore the same bathrobe she had on the night before. She walked around the bedroom and noticed the painting she hadn't noticed before. She went near it and stared at the skyscraper touching the sky. The way the photograph was taken made it seemed like the sky wasn't so high above.

Gini walked through the glass door to the balcony and peeped to see her house. She walked back in and got under the covers. Juwon woke as she moved closer to him.

"Fine morning. Did you sleep well?"

"I did."

"I know my house isn't as glamorous as what you're used to."

"It's actually perfect," she replied with a straight face when deep down she was cackling like a lunatic.

His house was so much more than she was used to. The bedroom alone was the whole of the apartment she shared with her sister and the chandelier in his living room could buy her and her sons a good life.

"How do you want to start your morning?" Juwon asked as he loosened the tie of her robe.

Gini chuckled when his mouth went to her breast. "You're certainly on the right track.

"How did you remain so skinny over the years?" Juwon asked before moving his lips to the other breast.

"By dancing, you?"

"By being allergic to so much."

"You have me now, we can go through it together." Juwon looked at her and she bent her lips to his. "You have me, never forget that."

"Won't."

Juwon was sliding his lips to her navel when the door was opened and the most glamorous woman she'd ever seen walked in. Gini scrambled to get decent while Juwon fell back in bed.

"Really, Muna?" he asked.

"Your door wasn't locked and I didn't know you had company." Muna looked at her briefly before walking to Juwon.

Gini tightened the stash of her robe and waited for an introduction.

"I don't remember booking her for you. Where did you pick her up?"

Gini's mouth hung open as she was likened to some random pick ups. She closed her mouth and looked at the woman. "Excuse me?"

"Muna, I'll join you in the living room." Juwon turned to Gini as the woman left.

"Who the heck is she and why would she think I'm some random prostitute or road pick up?"

"That's my personal assistant and she did that on purpose. I don't know why but I'm going to find out."

"So, you're saying you don't get girls booked for you?"

"Of course not, I can get my own ladies and I don't need to anymore since I have you."

"She's so rude." And beautiful, and intimidating.

"I'll deal with her."

Gini didn't know whether to buy his explanation but Juwon had always been pretty straight forward. He had no reason to lie anyway. Gini smiled when Juwon walked to her side and kissed her neck.

"I need to go home while you speak with your personal assistant," Gini stressed the personal assistant part at an attempt to be childish.

"Is that a dig?"

"I wouldn't know. I'll be out of her hair soon anyway."

"No, you wouldn't. You'll be her boss soon so she'll have to behave herself or get fired."

Her heart stopped beating. "What do you mean?"

"We're going to get married, right?"

"Is that what you want?" Gini tried not to get her hopes high. It seemed with them nothing ever went as planned.

"Of course, that's my life goal."

"Mine also," she said and looked at her feet.

"That's great to hear, I'm glad we're on the right path already." Juwon looked at the door before speaking again, "You can get dressed while I talk with Muna."

"That's fine."

Gini kissed Juwon before he left and went to the bathroom. She used the toothpaste and her index finger to clean her mouth before getting dressed in the gown she wore to dinner. Muna was in the kitchen as Gini walked out of the house with Juwon.

"I'll take you home in the car."

"You don't have to, I'll walk."

"Not in those shoes and I don't need half the town knowing what you've been up to."

Gini bit her bottom lip. "I actually didn't consider that."

"Get in the car, birdie," Juwon said seductively then winked.

Gini smiled as he opened the car, she slid closer to him as she got into the car and her breasts brushed against his chest. Juwon smiled then shut the door, she watched him as he walked to the driver's side and he held her hand as he drove her home.

Gini waved Juwon off as he drove back home. She went to the bathroom as soon as she dropped her handbag on the bed. As she showered, she thought about telling her sister about her evening, but she was afraid Mama would say something that'd make her start doubting everything.

Mama was skeptical about everything and she stressed on the negative side of things more than the positives. It wasn't like she didn't think about the negatives herself, she just didn't stress about it like her sister. Gini left the bathroom and sent a text to her sister asking after the boys. Mama didn't reply her immediately so she went to the living room. She wasn't up to opening the store that day and she stayed indoor, put her feet up and waited for her sister to reply her messages.

Gini thought about Muna and hoped Juwon didn't give her a hard time. She really didn't know him as a boss so she couldn't predict his reaction, she only hoped he didn't do too much to leave a bad taste about her in Muna's mouth. She wanted to be friends with everyone Juwon knew if it was possible and although they started on the wrong footing, she'd like to know more about Muna and his other friends. They could be one big happy family with the kids in addition. That was if he was really serious about marrying her. She wouldn't have to think long if he ever proposed, her answer would be an automatic yes.
