It was August 7th, 20##. I sat at the table, eating my cake. I was so embarrassed, as my family just sang me "Happy Birthday". We all laughed and told jokes. I had so much fun. After the empty party was over, I got up and walked to my room. The pink walls and Disney Princess design had been there for as long as I could remember. The childish drawings on the walls were held on by blue painter's tape. Most of it collected hair, and curled up, almost dropping the drawing. I sat down, letting my pink birthday dress almost touch the floor. My parents went upstairs, along with my brother, since their rooms were there. I laid down, staring up at the beautiful canopy that was above my bed. I closed my eyes, letting myself go to sleep.

I opened my eyes and stared at the white walls, that were covered in my drawings and paintings. All had very colorful colors. My room no longer had a Princess theme, but rather a soft, and fluffy dreamland. The bed had a bunch of stuffed animals on it, so I went around and gave them all a quick kiss on the forehead. Waving goodbye, I opened my door and ran down the hall, as fast as my little legs would take me. I got to the living room and the buzz of the TV, was gentle and calming, as I looked up at Mariam. I smiled and hugged her arm.

Oh, welcome back! Happy Birthday! Guardian gave you a gift on the table! They will return soon to celebrate with you.

I walked to the kitchen and saw a pink box, with beautiful white ribbons curled up on the top, forming a bow. I smiled and opened it. A Hello Kitty toy was inside, its white fur fluffy and brand new. I smiled and hugged it. I looked down at the card it had on the box.

Happy ## Birthday my dear! I hope you love your new toy! I saw it and thought of you.

I smiled, hugging it tighter, now along with the note. Mariam patted my head.
