PERSONALITY

you know when the teacher tells that one kid to do something and they're like 'why'? yeah, that one smug ass usually annoying kid? they'll be like 'hey teach can i do this' and the teacher will be like 'I don't know can you' and they'll be like 'well yes obviously i have the capability but I'm clearly asking permission, i cannot do this without you're permission that's why I'm asking if i can. so, can i do this?' yeah the hilarious kid that derails the whole lesson because they're bored, i hate that kid, even though i am sometimes that kid. anyways, gael is that kid. they're also akin to those asshole cats that like to sit on benches high above everyone else. when you tell them to get down they just look at you dead in the eyes, smile and then, you know, walk along the bench and knock things to the ground on purpose.

anyways, nothing is ever personal with them, everyone should know that siding with the winning side is the best way to keep from entering uncontrollable situations. In that sense, in some ways they could be called generous, after all when they're focused on gaining someone's support, it's surprising how far they're willing to go. still, that doesn't mean they always deliver, some would say they promise more then they can deliver, though that's not exactly true, they never promise anything. since they cant lie, nor can they predict the future, they've decided they will never promise anything. they're one of those 'i'll try, kay?' types, and then they'll probably give the bare minimum. they're surprisingly open with they're thoughts, they really lean into the 'straightforward' reputation of the unseelie, they'll say almost anything no matter how undiplomatic if the situation allows. they're really that annoying mix of smug, impatient and problematic, probably wise to just gag them and leave them to die somewhere.

antagonistic is the perfect word to summarise them, they aren't helpful, they give no regard for the feelings of others. they're cold and won't hesitate to accept the kindness of others, they're just plain selfish honestly taking advantage of everyone else's good nature. someone needs to either give them a taste of their own medicine of whack them over the head. betrayal seems to be second nature to them, they isolate themselves by choice and then complain about the fact they're alone. like damn they blind as hell to their own flaws. little bit malicious, little bit smug, they really run of the idea that they're lucky and no harm can come to them, it's really dumb and will probably get them killed one day. but until then, catch them at a casino fuelling their gambling problem.

IDEALS & MINDSET:

— autonomy.
they naturally believe in the right of of self-government, its not that they despise authority, they couldn't really care less, but running off the idea of freedom government and monarchy seem far to clingy for their taste. besides, they just want to do as they please, they hate the idea of rules, if they're told that they can't do something, they're only more tempted to act out, its instinctual.

— loyalty does not exist.
its easy to believe that loyalty is a fabrication, after all why would one be loyal to the loosing side just out of love? its more likely for self interest, or some sort of blinded faith, something foolish like that. they just cant comprehend such an idea. Its the same for things such as love, its seems so blinding, to them it seems like a fools game, such allegiances seems so binding, jeopardising.

— honesty is wise.
If you don't ask, you don't get to know. but if one asks, they receive a half truth, if they push they deserve to know the whole truth. though ones intentions should never be spoken, they actually respect truth. mainly because telling a lie, steals someone else's right to truth, they hate being lied to, so they suppose everyone else does as well. not to mention that they actually cant lie so, they have to respect truth.

POWERS
with the fae being naturally disposed to magic, they are quick to take full advantage of that fact. though they're not overly focused on using it for anything more then a little bit of fun. majority of the time they'll only use it to change their appearance, usually to the appeal of the person in front of them. there is something so satisfying in about appearing as someone's loved one, or enemy. people tend to be nicer and more likely to comply when they're talking to someone they're comfortable around.

ALLEGIANCES & FAMILY:

— the fae courts.
screw the courts, they are in no way tied to the fae, they essentially removed themselves from the whole faerie realm. perhaps sometimes they regret cutting ties with their whole species but you know, the past is the past nothing they can do about it now, boo hoo. they'd much rather dwell in the human world anyways, its way more fun up here, and they don't have to deal with all that political nonsense, court is tiresome.

— the werewolves.
so this allegiance of sort is a little complicated, since they were born and raised with the fae, they never interacted with the outside world until they left. they were taught to hold themselves above the other families, so of course there is a feeling of superiority that shows through in their smug behaviour when interacting with there wolves. but then again, they cant help but feel indebted since they are being harboured.

— themselves.
they are only loyal to themselves and their own interest, plain and simple, they don't associate with their family or even their own people anymore. you can't rely on anyone but yourself in the end, you can't trust anyone else, who knows you more than yourself? their beliefs regarding loyalty and love explain this loyalty enough, in the end people will always choose themselves, self service is stronger then anything else.

CHILDHOOD & BACKSTORY

being born in the faerie realm they had all the makings of a perfect childhood, how could they not? surrounded by a beautiful world and beautiful people, they came to appreciate the appeal of the seasons and the idea of perfection. honestly it's almost impossible for them to complain, what is there to complain about? they adored the music and the dancing. sure the constant changing of the ruling courts was annoying and they didn't care much for the monarchies. not to mention the fact that the courts have an eerie feeling of isolation from time to time, even during feasts. you know it was all just a bit bland in their oh so humble opinion, kind of repetitive. It didn't help that they were easily vexed, that aspect of their personality probably went towards their lash out and the reason they now dwell unaffiliated in the human world. not that they care much, so what? they totally don't even care. so, sure, they will admit that they miss the music of the fae world and the dancing rings, human music is totally satisfactory, it's acceptable okay. again, they cant really complain they brought this upon themselves, ugh human world time also kind of annoying though, they're kind of just waiting for the winter. they love the snow, just let them dance in the snow, they deserve it.

anyways, now they're a renegade unseelie fae living with the werewolves, not their first choice of company but they're acceptable, satisfactory company, mainly they try and avoid them. they're more of a cat person. as long as no one asks to many personal questions all should be fine, if they pry well, they've committed treason once before, what's one more crime to their name?
