Koro's future Self
{Gesso headquarters, ???}
In his room, the raven head adult laid on his bed. Eyes closed he contemplated his new mind, personality, being.
The way his previously united mind had split itself into to distinct entity. The two of them cohabitating, helping the other, indispensable for them to live. It was as if his soul had divided itself into two entirely different but similar beings.
The feeling was strange but not uncomfortable. A bit problematic at times but they had learned to cope with it. To "differentiate" one another.
Slowly blinking his eyes open, a flicker of light purple went through his already purple orbs before dimming and disappearing.
Sitting up from his laying position the male stretched a bit. Combing his raven locks with his fingers, his thoughts, drifted to his and Ran's first encounter.
He didn't think someone would ever find out about Yucca's soul merging with another one, or being replaced for all it mattered. To begin with, the idea, was unbelievable. Who would ever think about it? Ran, definitely was a peculiar kid. Maybe as unusual or even stranger than Yucca. Koro didn't know, and he didn't want to.
If one had visions of his deaths, then what about the youngest? Could he foretell the apocalypse or something?
Shaking his head in denial, Koro went out of his room. Today the Giglio Nero Famiglia's Boss was coming to meet Byakuran. The strife between the two Famiglia was growing with the days, Genkishi and Squalo's latest clash didn't help the matter.
Thinking about Squalo, it had been a long time since the two male met each other, Koro was sure their next meeting would be full of shouts, cries, and blades clashing. Such a pleasing way of catching up.
Anyways, as an ex-Varia and per extension Vongola member, Koro had been selected to guide the Giglio Nero's Boss, Yuni, around. As the young girl's family and the Vongola's ties were quite old, it was no surprising matter that Koro and Yuni had met previously.
Phone in hand, the ex-God of Death went through the files he had gathered and received concerning the young Boss. Similarly to Reborn, it seemed like she was part of this Arcobaleno group, the sky Arcobaleno to be precise.
It also looked like she possessed a special seer gift. Whatever, what Ran was interested in wasn't her seer power, but the Mare Rings she owned. The Mare Rings, a relic passed from Sepira, the first Giglio Nero's Boss, to her descendant.
A small frown made its way to Koro's features as he began to wonder what exactly these rings had to be so special. Whatever he didn't have the time to ponder on the question.
Putting his phone back in his white trench's pocket, he entered the base's hall. Putting on his best business smile, he went to greet the Giglio Nero's Boss and escort.
"Greetings, Yuni-sama," he declared amiably, as he gave a bow the small lady's way before nodding in acknowledgment at her escort. "You can call me Aster. I am Byakuran's cloud guardian and will act as your guide in the Gesso's base. I hope we will get along," he stated, the grin never faltering.
"Likewise," the young girl said, nodding, a genuine smile adorning her face. "I hope this meeting will put an end to our families' strife."
"But of course, Yuni-sama. Byakuran, I am sure, is as concerned with this matter as you."
Yunni nodded enthusiastically, happy to see a familiar face, although the name differed from their previous meeting she didn't take note of it. On the other hand, from the corner of his eyes, Koro could see a blonde-haired male dubiously staring at him. If Koro's memory and information network served him right, the man went by Gamma. A former bodyguard to the Giglio's previous Boss, Aria, the blond in Koro's eyes seemed pretty protective of the little lady.
Dismissing the matter entirely, Koro, whose gaze met Gamma's sent his signature business smile in the male's direction, further unnerving him.
"Now, if you could follow me, Yuni-sama," Koro asked, before taking the lead to Byakuran's office. The Giglio Nero Famiglia's delegation following closely.
Exchanging pleasantries with the young Boss, Koro's smile never once faltered under Gamma's heavy stare. Stretching instead as he relished in the feeling of domination over the blond male's thoughts and reactions. As a teacher already, he loved to brag about his power to his students and to be untouchable, it was so much fun. But they were only kids it is always easy to make fun of children, adults are more difficult to provoke. Having Gamma react to his every words and movement, it brought back this exhilarating feeling of superiority, as the desire to mock the blond grew.
He was glad green stripes didn't appear on his face anymore. Otherwise, his fun would have been too obvious, and he would have needed to end it. He didn't need the young Boss to raise her guard, before meeting Ran. This meeting was of utmost importance to the Gesso.
A chuckle escaped Koro's lips before he straightened. "That's right Yuni-sama," he replied before clearing his throat and adopting a more formal posture. "I'm disappointed to say so, but our chatter will have to end. It seems like we have reached Byakuran's office," Koro said amiably.
"Oh, you're right," Yuni whispered, mildly disappointed. "I hope we'll have the occasion to talk more in the future!" she stated excitedly.
Humming in agreement, Koro gave a small bow before going to knock at Byakuran's office door.
"Ran," he called out which made Gamma's gaze even more dubious at the apparent closeness the males were displaying. "Yuni-sama has arrived," he said as he entered the office before closing the door and leaving the Giglio Nero's envoy to wait outside the office.
A few seconds later, the raven-haired male emerged from the office, his smile more childish and calculative than before. Not like Yuni noticed, at least it didn't seem so. "Yuni-chan," he called out. "Hurry, hurry, Ran-chan can't wait to meet you."
Yuni returned his grin with her own, not taking note of 'Aster's' sudden change in demeanor, she and her escort made their way into Byakuran's office.
"Oh, no," Yucca interrupted as they tried to enter. "Only Yuni-chan is allowed to enter. Ran-chan doesn't want to meet the others," he stated. "It's Bosses matters."
Gamma spoke up. He had enough of their guide. But Yunni stopped him. With a swift movement of her hand, she put an end to his complaints. "Don't worry Gamma," she reassured. "I'll be back," she promised with a hug before entering Byakuran's office.
Seeing her enter, so naive and gullible Yucca's grin only stretched. A glint of orange passed through his purple orbs.
Such a pure lamb to give to his dearest brother.

{Vongola headquarter, Italy}
War, war everywhere. After the merge of the Gesso and Giglio Nero Famiglia into the newborn Millefiore Famiglia, the tension between them and the Vongola only heightened.
It didn't take long before physical actions towards the opposing party happened.
Seating at his desk, Tsunayoshi's look as well as the guardians' present in the room was grim.
"Reborn is dead," Tsuna muttered, his fist tightening. "All the Arcobanelo except Yuni are gone."
A solemn silence invaded the room. No words were, spoken as they took a few seconds to pay their respect to the defunct sun Arcobanelo.
"Boss," Gokudera finally spoke up, breaking the silence. "We need to take radical actions against the Millefiore Famiglia. These bastards will never stop!"
"Hayato, calm do-"
"Don't tell me to calm down, baseball freak! How many more people will we need to lose before we start taking actions? We can't protect everyone if we only defend!"
"Don't act like I don't know that, Hayato!" Yamamoto snapped back, anguish in his eyes as he remembered his powerlessness three months ago in front of his father's corpse. The two guardians' shouts echoed within the office. The two of them let their frustration loose for a few minutes before a booming voice interrupted them.
"Enough!" Tusnayoshi ordered, his voice regal, befitting of the mafia Boss he is. "My source told me, what Byakuran want are these rings. The Vongola rings," he stated calmly, staring at the sky ring in his hands. "If so, we'll destroy them."
A murmur went through the office. A blend of surprise, dissatisfaction, and understanding, before some, raised their voice in disagreement.
"I said, enough!" Tsunayoshi repeated, turning the office silent once more. "If there are no rings, there's no reason for Byakuran to attack. It is the best way to earn peace without any more loss." I don't want to lose any more of my family.
Another wave of whispers emerged, but Tsunayoshi didn't pay it any notice and continued his explications.
"Hayato, Takeshi, big brother, Lambo, Kyoya, Chrome, I will request you to give me your rings back. I ask you not as your Boss, but as your friend, please," he pleaded, his usually brilliant eyes dim, reflecting his tiredness.
The action wasn't immediate, but one by one, each guardian, even the less adamant gave their ring to Tsunayoshi.
"Thank you," he whispered, a tired smile on his face. His guardians' hearts ached at the sight of their Boss, their Sky. Of course, out of all of them Reborn's death impacted him the most. "You can go," he whispered taking the rings and putting them in a black case.
As they made their way out of the office in a religious silence, Tsunayoshi spoke up. "Lambo, Hayato, Takeshi I want you to go to the Japanese underground base, the one whose construction ended recently," the three guardians voiced their agreement before taking their leave. "Chrome, try to contact Mukuro. Ryohei, you know what to do."
Few seconds went by as Hibari Kyoya remained in the office with his Boss. "Kyoya, I have a plan. In case this all goes wrong," he whispered. "Will you give me your assistance?"
"Hn, omnivore."
A small genuine smile appeared on Tsunayoshi's lips. "Thank you, Kyoya."

{Peace summit, Japan}
"Are you sure about this, Ran?" Koro asked the younger male as the two made their way to the conference room, Shoichi Irie in tow.
Byakuran didn't spare the male a glance as he calmly answered the man. "Of course I am. It is essential to eradicate any obstacles from my path before they grow too much, right Sho-chan?" he mused childishly.
The sun guardian nodded a few times in agreement before voicing his opinion. "You're right Byakuran-sama. Losing the Vongola rings is nothing to the Vongola Famiglia. To extinct them, we need to cut their roots," he affirmed pushing his glasses up his nose.
Koro didn't add anything, walking a step behind the two younger males, he excused himself to go to the restroom.
::
"Ah, Hayato," he greeted, his eyes blank as he gave the explosive male his signature smile.
Hayato's eyes widened. "You!" he exclaimed in mild disbelief as anger slowly rose within him. "What are you doing here you traitor!" he seethed, trying to control his rage.
Koro remained unfazed at the accusation, "You look tired Hayato," he answered.
"Don't ignore my question asshole!"
Koro sighed before he rubbed his temple in a circular motion his grin turning in a small pout. "So rude," he whined. "Anyway, we are probably here for the same reason," he stated. "Therefore, don't hate me too much yet, Hayato," he whispered, giving a pat on Hayato's shoulder before exiting the washroom.
::
"Did you get lost?" Byakuran asked, his eyes darting from Koro's figure to his paper.
"Not really, I only met an old acquaintance on the way here."
Byakuran hummed before going back to his documents, taking a sip of his hot cocoa, he set his stack of paper down and turned to look Koro's way. Discreetly slipping a note in the older's suit pocket. "I hope you won't disappoint me," he whispered.
Koro merely nodded before taking a seat on the white-haired male's left. Shoichi who sat on Byakuran's left stared at their exchange perplexed.
Finally, Tsunayoshi and his right arm man entered the room. As if on cue, Shoichi stood up and left, nodding in the Vongola's direction, he closed the door to the conference room. They had agreed only one escort was allowed to stay with their Boss.
"So, should we begin?" Byakuran asked with a tilt of his head as Tsunayoshi and Gokudera took place around the table.
"Yes, let's," Tsunayoshi answered, his smile as wide and fake as Byakuran's.
For some reasons, the sight in front of him reminded Koro of the time the Varia had trapped Tsunayoshi and his guardians with the Gola Mosca. They had unknowingly walked right into their trap, and it seemed this time would be no different.
Well except if the young Don's plan worked. He mused. His thoughts drifted to the note he had been given seconds ago before he mentally shook his head. It probably was a notice to replenish the marshmallow stock.
Koro glanced at his watch, three, two, one. Hayato's body spasmed before falling to the ground, breathless. Tsunayoshi couldn't react in time, did he even try? Koro had already injected him with a strong sedative.
"Take care of them, Aster," Byakuran called out as he stood up and dusted the nonexistent dust off of his suit. "Also, don't forget to let the puppy report to the others. It wouldn't be funny otherwise," he reminded childishly before exiting the conference room.
Koro only hummed. Waiting for Byakuran to lock the door, his gaze went back to Tsunayoshi's figure before he crouched down, taking his phone out.
"Plague, speaking," he said into the phone. "I'll be, finished in one minute, gone in three, out of the building in twenty, far away in thirty," he listed to the person on the other end of the phone.
"Hn," came the curt reply. Koro hung up.
"Now, Decimo, I'll make it as painless as possible," he whispered.
Taking another syringe and his gun out, he injected the brunet with another drug before shooting him two times.
As he stood up, his purple orbs met Hayato's raging green one. A sigh escaped his lips as he aimed his gun at the still disoriented right-hand man.
"Don't hate me too much alright, Hayato?" he whispered before shooting him in the stomach.
Putting his gun back in its holster, he took his phone out. "Take care of the puppy too," he texted.
No reply.
I think, one day, I'm going to count how many Canon characters Yucca/Koro either stabbed, shot or killed. Be it in his vision, reality or alternative endings.
Anyways, what do you think? It's the last bonus chapter (for this arc at least). Next, we'll go back to the main storyline!
Thanks for reading, until next time^^
