36. Teaching in Namimori
{Namimori, Japan}
Thoughtlessly humming some random tunes, Koro dried his white locks, his purple eyes going over his latest downloaded files on Namimori Junior high. Pulling strings hadn't been difficult and after a few calls, emails and messages, Koro found his transfer to Namimori-chu as William Jones quickly accepted and approved off.
The excited grin never left his lips as he tossed the files on his bed before going back to the bathroom. He had some lenses to put on and his "teaching suit" to dress with.
Blinking a few times in front of the glass, as to get used to the new light blue colored lenses, Koro gently tousled his hair before reaching for a fake pair of glasses. Taking hold of his previously done case he made his way out of his bedroom. His battle watch and rings were in place as he reached for a dark blue blazer.
He didn't bother talking to the other guardians, most were asleep, half asleep, or couldn't be bothered. Walking down the hotel's stairs, he caught a glimpse of a blond curly haired male, he smirked. Seems like team Reborn had the same idea.
Not making himself known to the Don, he instead merged into the masses, becoming unnoticeable (as much as he could with his not so Asian features,) he strode to Namimori Junior high. The faces of those kids when they'll see him, he couldn't wait.

"Ah, Professor Jones! It has been a while," the chairman greeted as he stood up from his seat, going to shake the newcomer's hand.
'Professor Jones' smiled amiably, returning the man's greeting with as much vigor, he didn't spare the dumfounded male sitting on one of the couches any attention. Nyurufufu, such a ridiculous face.
A throat clearing itself was heard as the chairman suddenly seemed to regain consciousness of his surrounding. "A-ah, right you haven't met yet have you?" he rhetorically asked as he went back to a more professional demeanor, taking his hand back, his gaze flickered to the blond. "Professor Jones, here," he introduced, gesturing to the white head, "once came to gauge our school's work, he's very popular with the students," he paused, once again looking at the blond before grinning. "A bit like you Dino-sensei!" he exclaimed.
Dino, keeping on his boss smile didn't seem bothered, standing up he went up to the white head. "I'm Dino-sensei, you can call me Dino," he greeted, although a bit awkwardly as he didn't fully expect the situation.
Koro nodded, returning a similarly perfectly executed fake smile. "William Jones, but I like to be called Professor Jones or Professor for short," he paused, gauging the other's reaction before continuing. "I consider myself to be versatile but will be mainly focusing on math, as it seems dear Nezu-sensei caught a cold," his eyes glinted for a second, Dino's narrowed in understanding.
"I'm in charge of English. Let's get along shall we, Professor?" Dino said regaining his full composure.
Koro chuckled, his habits resurging in the process before he answered. "Fufu, of course," he paused. "I can't wait for our future collaborations, Dino-sensei."
The chairman stood on the side as the two males stared at each other, the grin never leaving their faces, for minutes.
Do these two know each other? Completely obvious to the whole ordeal, the chairman happily smiled as he saw his newest recruits getting along so well.

Casually walking down the hall, Koro smiled at every passing student, sometimes halting his course when they called him out, he relished into the nostalgic atmosphere Namimori junior high gave him.
Ah, if only they could add a few rubber knives and factitious guns, it would be perfect. Fake grenades could work out too. It seemed like since the moon's explosion his thought drifted more and more toward his life in Kunugigaoka.
The bell rang, and Koro's musing came to a halt. He took a glance at his watch, its bracelet next to the battle watch's before going to the class he had to teach. A third year's if he remembered correctly, then a pause and he would meet Tsunayoshi's for their math class.
"Nyurufufu," he couldn't wait to see them all again. If he is lucky, the Cavalllone Don wouldn't have spilled the beans. Their surprised faces would be the most delightful.
Ah, weren't Enma-chan and his friends also part of Namimori-chu's students? He wondered, an impatient grin creeping up his already excited face before fading and going back to Professor Jones' persona. Bottling his excitement now would make the actual encounter even more fun and enjoyable. Ah, he couldn't wait.

A few hours later.
"... Therefore, let us work together properly, shall we?" Koro asked, bowing to his young students once more before straightening. His gloveless left hand went up to his purple-rimmed glasses, pushing them up the bridge of his nose before he took his files out. "Do you have any questions?"
A few hands shot up, each student a curious and eager look on their faces as they stared at their substitute teacher. Opening the register, he wrote the previous night, in which were the students' picture, name, and some personal information, Koro let his eyes sweep the class before going back to the first raised hand, a girl at the front row sitting on his right next to the window.
"Yes, Miss Ibuka?" he asked, keeping his foreigner's way of speech in check as he didn't add any Japanese honorifics.
A bit flustered by how her name was called, the short-raven-haired lady cleared her throat. "U-um, does it mean you will be taking Nezu-sensei's place until we graduate, Jones-sensei?" she stuttered out before staring at her desk, feeling embarrassed by the white head's gaze.
Koro hummed, not bothering himself to correct the way she addressed him. Although this persona liked to be called Professor, the real Koro had missed the appellation sensei he wouldn't mind his students calling him so. "Well if my colleague can't come back before then, I suppose I will," he answered, smiling amiably at the student who nodded before sitting down. "Although, I think he'll be back on his feet soon," he added, his eyes flashing an almost unnoticeable purple color behind the blue lenses.
Tsunayoshi who caught sight of it, like his two guardians and most of the Simon Famiglia, gulped. Did Yucca have something to do with their teacher's sudden absence? And if he was here, did it mean the Varia was lurking not too far from there? They were enemy, wasn't the situation a bit too dangerous?
"Mister Sawada was it?" A voice suddenly called out, pulling Tsunayoshi out of his mental crisis. Abruptly standing up, the brown-eyed teen's chair fell to the ground, a loud thud was heard, followed by muffled laughter, snickers, and mockery.
Staring down at his desk, Tsuna could feel his cheeks slowly burning up as his classmates ridiculed him and his guardians tried to defend him. Was it intended? He absently wondered. Did the cloud do it to mock him and trample his pride?
Tsuna paused. Since when did he start to care about the mockeries, the laughter? When did he begin to feel his pride getting wounded by them? No, when did he become confident enough to even feel himself getting wounded and offended?
As Tsuna opened his mouth to speak, he didn't notice how silence had settled inside of the class and how unusually intimidated his classmates were as they mutely stared at their smiling teacher. "W-what is it, Jones-sensei?" he stuttered out, his brown eyes looking directly into Yucca's currently blue ones.
Koro smirked, the Don had grown some backbone since the first time they met, no doubt about that. He gave off the same feeling his students did when they defied class 3-A or fought against his first student. Fierce and unyielding. "You seemed troubled, is everything alright?" he asked, referring to his previous deliberation.
Tsunayoshi's mouth hanged open for a second as his eyes darted to the man's wrist. A battle watch. "I-I was wondering why you wore two watches, Yu-Jones-sensei," he managed to say, barely refraining himself from letting the man's real name slip before mentally slapping himself. What kind of question was this? Hopefully, Reborn hadn't heard him he prayed.
Undisturbed by the odd but not so bizarre question, he let his forefinger rub against the two watches as he adopted a faraway look. His eyes, getting slightly watery as a sad smile adorned his face. Awkwardly coughing, he looked back at the student. "I-I'm waiting for a call," he paused, letting the tension build up before resuming. "From the hospital, my phone is linked to this watch. The other is a token from my deceased father."
Hearing the students suck their breath, he mentally smirked. How gullible, calmly wiping the 'tears' out of his eyes, he clapped his hands. "Enough about me, question time is over let's go back to math. Miss Sasagawa, could you tell me where you stopped?"
"O-of course Jones-sensei!" the blonde stuttered trying to regain her composure as she went through her math book.

Leaning against the high table, in the faculty room, Koro sipped his tea a calming muscat scent invading his nostrils in the process.
"How was your class, Professor Jones?"
Fluttering his eyes open, Koro's currently blue eyes, flickered to the Cavalone Boss next to him. "It was okay I suppose. What about yours, Dino-sensei?"
Dino hummed, a smile on his face as he studied the guardian's features. "The students were lovely."
Bzz Bzz
"Ah, excuse me," Koro stated his business smile perfectly placed as he took the phone out of his pocket, his other hand putting his Darjeeling cup down. Opening the messenger app, he adopted a natural position in which Dino couldn't see his phone's screen.
From: Lust
To: Gluttony
Hello darling, we decided to preach some V.quality to the ignorant people and go grocery shopping today. Since the weather's so good we'll maybe stop by the watchmaker. Who knows?
Don't forget to buy yourself a new watch.
With lots of love and hope for you to either kill or die,
your Sunshine.
Koro stared at the screen silently, not understanding everything for a second before sighing, a smile on his lips. It was a very Lussuria type of message he guessed. Typing a quick reply about how he would try to find the best model and how he hoped it would match with their's, he closed the app. Shutting his phone down, he stuffed it in his pocket before taking a look at his watch.
The battles had yet to start, they should anytime now as it was the first day. From what he understood the Varia was on the move to catch, trap, hunt and maybe kill someone for the desired prize. He should get ready and find someone to beat up too.
The thought brought a sly smirk to his lips. Nyrufufu, should he directly try to go for the big fishes? His eyes unnoticeably flickered to Dino's wrist as he took another sip of his Darjeeling. Not a Boss watch.
Inhaling the calming muscat scent, he closed his eyes. Sawada Tsunayoshi and Kozato Enma both wore Boss watches. A feral grin crept up his face. Should he go for them? An unsettling giggle escaped his lips.
Still standing next to the cloud guardian with a cup of coffee, Dino felt a chill run down his spine, his eyes darted to the white head next to him. He definitely had to keep an eye on him, his sense as a sky was tingling...
Although, where is Romario? Dino's mental panic began as his free hand roamed his pocket for his phone.

End of the day
"Haha, but you know I didn't expect Yucca to come to us," Yamamoto mused leaning against one of the class' empty desk.
Gokudera clicked his tongue in annoyance, why did his Boss have to leave him with baseball freak, he should have begged him to let him accompany him instead of napping. "You weren't the only surprised one," he muttered, taking a cigarette out of his pocket. Nothing better than a cigarette to chase the drowsiness away. His free hand reached to push his silver bangs back, revealing a pair of- no, a single green eye an eye prosthesis.
Takeshi hummed, laughing slightly at the drowsy display of his friend. Although he knew Yucca wasn't on their team, he was intimately convinced that he was the most merciful one out of all the Varia... the teen wanted to believe so.
It seemed like the man was generally soft around students. The way he looked at them was like a parent proudly watching over their growing up child.
Then again, was mercy even a word in the Varia? He didn't know, he didn't care, so long as his family was alright, he couldn't care less. He didn't think they would come for their heads again at least not for now. Within Namimori-chu they had an advantage, the Varia wouldn't- couldn't openly strike.
His eyes glinted an icy blue as he remembered the cloud's presence within the school ground.
Didn't he infiltrate Namimori junior high under Mamon's team? The day's not finished, shit, Tsuna!
Abruptly pushing himself off the desk, Yamamoto sent it back a few centimeters, the sound of the chair being pushed back and hitting the floor in the process echoed in the room.
"Damn, what the hell baseball freak," Gokudera grumbled, a yawn escaping his lips as his green eyes went to rest on the other teen's figure. Slowly stretching as he picked his open cigarette pack to put it in his pocket.
"We need to hu-"
BEEP!!
"Shit," Yamamoto cursed, "Tsuna!"
The countdown before the first battle began.
Writing the beginning of the Curse arc battle was way harder than I thought it would be.
Fun fact: In the second draft, in which MC wasn't a reincarnated Koro-sensei but one of his students (meaning it took place after the AC plot), MC and Dino were supposed to go Canon.
Also, the question came up last chapter, the Curse arc is going to be the last one (I'm 99.99% sure of it).
Thanks for reading^^
