Cloud Nine Review Contents

You're right on time! To get you going and pumped, here's the list of really awesome things to expect upon being marked as ACCEPTED for a Cloud Nine Review.

#1 One Entire Chapter

Of course it's a given! I wouldn't try to give you anything less than a whole chapter of this book. That chapter will be dedicated to you who put your heart into the reviewed work. Truly, it deserves to be recognised accordingly.

#2 The Actual Review

[For Genres under Fiction]

Here are the five (5) points of review that I will be concentrated on in your story and some of the important questions I will be asking myself along the way:

▴ Title - Did it catch my attention? Was it dull? Interesting? Cliche?

▴ Cover - Was it visually appealing? Did it match the theme of your story?

▴ Blurb - Was it flat? Exciting? Does it give away too much? Too little?

▴ Grammar - Were there grammatical errors? None? Did the paragraphs seem too short? Too long?

▴ Plot - Was the plot clear? Unclear? Did the story move too slow? Too fast? Were there cliffhangers?

[For Poetry and Non-Fiction]

I'll be using the first four (4) for fiction and replacing the last one which is plot with a modified version of the five (5) W's and one (1) H based on Glynn Young's essay called: How to to Write a Poetry Review, that I find is also applicable for Non-Fiction.

▴Who - Who was the author? What was the author's personality?

▴ What - What kind of Poetry/Work of Non-Fiction was it? Poetic Form? Creative Non-Fiction?

▴ When - When was this written? Was this the first work of the author? Last?

▴ Where - Any location relevant or place that inspired the work?

▴ Why - What is the reason behind writing the piece? What ideas were the author communicating?

▴ How - How does the author use language? What were the Metapors?

There is no fully objective review at all but I will try my best to make sure that all contents of my review whether Fiction, Poetry or Non-Fiction will be insightful, brief, and concise. Additionally, despite their differences no genre will be prioritised over the other.

Bear in mind that the length of my reviews may vary depending on what I deem is necessary to input and advise.

When I visit this reading list I'd like to be reminded that even in the slightest possible sense and way, these are the people I have helped.

You may be like the writer everyone has once become: one who is only looking for a genuine place to advertise or get reviewed. But this comes with a tad more. I love meeting new people and this book for whatever other purpose it may serve, to me is a long lasting tie.

I sincerely hope that these few solemn bittersweet words stay with you for years to come and that my review finds you well.
