It was a Friday during my summer break.

I was fifteen.

Watching the T.V.

When the news appears.

Showing President Obama.

Holding a flag.

I don't know why.

A rainbow flag.

The caption says,

"Gay marriage now legalized."

My mom watches,

With absolute disgust.

"It's against God's rules."

She is frowning.

Should I care?

"They'll go to Hell."

She says strongly.

Strong in her beliefs.

I change it.

Change the channel.

I will not care.

Why should I?

I don't support,

Nor am I against,

The LGBT+ community.
