Doyoung had a huge headache. His head might just burst any moment now. His heart too.

He has made a big mistake. He really shouldn't have contacted Soobin without telling Lily. Now because of this his best friend is missing for six days now. There's no way to contact her or Jungkook. She had left her phone at his house that very night he called Soobin over to his house and God knows where Jungkook's phone is. He is unable to track it. He is worried sick. What if's are causing a hurricane in his mind.

All he hopes is that Lily is fine. He wants nothing more. He won't be able to forgive himself if Lily does something bad to herself.

Doyoung had his head buried in the cushion of the couch of his living room, sick with worry and headache. Gaeul has suggested that he would massage Doyoung's head, but Doyoung refused and asked him to go and study. Doyoung needs to know how to study properly to be able to get admitted in the fancy school Doyoung wants to admit him. Miko was with Gaeul.

Doyoung didn't feel like doing anything at all. He groaned when his phone rang. He somehow fished his phone from the tea table beside him and answered it with no will to drag the conversation or speak at all. He would immediately hang up, if it's not an emergency.

"Hello, Kim Doyoung speak.."

"You little rat ass fucker."

Doyoung immediately sprung up from his position and stood up straight hearing the oh so familiar voice that he missed heavily for the last six days. He spoke with utter relief and happiness at the healthy sounding voice of the other side,"Oh my God, Lily. I'm so sorry. I deserve to die. Please come and kill me. But first tell me if you're okay and where are you?"

"Now you're worried about me? You fucking hypocrite? After putting me through that? And yes..you do deserve to die. You better sleep with one eye open from now on, you bitch."

Doyoung smiled brightly even after hearing the threats of a psychopathic serial killer on the other side of the phone,"You do that. But first tell me where are you and are you okay? Should I come pick you up? Is Jungkook with you?"

"Yes, of course he's with me. He's my partner. And no, no need to pick us up. We are coming back to Seoul today by evening. Listen..the reason I called you. I've decided what I'm gonna do about the mess you've caused."

"I really am sorry for that. I swear I'm gonna cut all connections with Soobin. If needed I'm gonna change both my house and my name..Soobin would never be able to find us again..."

"Stop being over dramatic and stop over compensating. Listen to me and listen to what you need to do."

"Yeah?"

"So this evening..."

"Yes?"

He could hear a sigh from Lily as she thought about how she is going to say what she's about to say next,"Umm.."

"Are you okay?"

The next thing Lily did was she spoke really fast.

"Listen-call-Soobin-to-your-house-this-evening-if-he-wants-to-come-I-wanna-talk-to-him-Bye."

She hung up after that. She had spoken so quick, it was hard for Doyoung to follow it. But from the bits he did hear, he can gather that she has asked him to call Soobin over to his house so she can talk to him. Doyoung can't believe it. He really thought Lily is gonna shut Soobin out of her life once again. But seeing how she wants to talk to him...this is such a good sign!

Doyoung jumped happily in victory and punched the air happily a few times, squealing in happiness. When Gaeul heard the commotion he came outside and saw his hyung, that was sick a few minutes ago is now jumping around like a crazy person.

"Hyung? Are you okay?"Gaeul asked, very concerned.

Doyoung stopped jumping and smiled at Gaeul,"I'm fine, Gaeul-ah. Lily is coming back tonight! Jungkook too. They are both okay."

Gaeul smiled when he heard that. He was also so worried about his Jungkook hyung and cold noona,"Really?"

Doyoung nodded,"They would be coming here tonight, so go and finish your studies quickly."

Gaeul nodded enthusiastically and ran to his room. Doyoung smiled in admiration seeing the little one so enthusiastic. Then he looked at his phone. Now time to make another little one happy. He sat down on the couch and looked through his phone to find the number he was looking for. Doyoung just knows how worried he was and how guilty he felt for this whole situation as well. He had been calling Doyoung almost every hour just to know if his sister is okay. Now he would be relieved.

Once Doyoung found it he dialed the number with a big smile.

"Hello, Soobin-ah? Are you free tonight?"

Okay, this was adorable.

This was the only thought Jungkook had as he saw the scenery in front of him. Currently, it's 7 pm. They are all gathered in Doyoung's living room. Gaeul and Miko are playing in the corner. Doyoung is standing leaning against the wall, kind of anxiously. Jungkook is sitting beside Lily on one of the couches. Across them was sitting Soobin, looking as innocent as ever. His smile was contagious, making Jungkook smile as well.

What was adorable, however, Lily having a cushion on her lap and continuously fidgeting her hands under it. Her face was stone cold as usual. But Jungkook just knows she is nervous and anxious as hell. It's kind of funny, ironic and also weirdly cute, the way Lily the person who always intimidates other people, unalives people without batting her eye, casually starts a conversation about how foul humans are to a demon, is the one who's nervous in front of a harmless twenty year old angel of a guy. She didn't know  how to approach him so he doesn't get uncomfortable.

Last night after all that happened, Lily had decided that she would at least talk to Soobin. She has already taken a big step by sharing everything with Jungkook and facing her trauma by going to that hellhole, so what's another step? Jungkook supported her decision completely. But Lily forbade Jungkook to expect too much from her and expect her to change her lifestyle. Jungkook agreed to that as well.

During the whole car ride from the 'Care Facility' to Seoul Lily had been going on and on about how she doesn't want to make Soobin uncomfortable and how unfit she actually thinks she is in holding a normal conversation. Jungkook comforted her the whole ride, telling she would do just fine. He also gave her advice to be herself.

"Umm..I read your letter,"Lily finally started the conversation. She also finally looked away from the wall and faced him. Till now she was staring at literally everywhere but Soobin's face. If anyone else was there, they would think Lily is highly interested in all the antique vases collection that Doyoung had. Lily continued,"Seems like you're doing alright."

Soobin smiled brightly as his sister finally decided to talk to him,"Yes noona. I've been living amazing."

Lily nodded and with utmost sincerity and curiosity she asked the next thing to Soobin. She was so sincere about this, making the whole thing worse.

"So..you don't have anyone you want to get rid from your life, now do you? In case you can tell me, I will take ca.."

Jungkook widened his eyes. He quickly nudged Lily's waist with his elbow to make her stop. Thankfully she actually got the hint and shut up.

Apparently giving a serial killer advice to 'be yourself' is the worst advice you can ever give. Really.

Jungkook learnt it the hard way. He quickly fake smiled and turned Soobin's way. He was trying to do damage control. He knows Lily's intentions this time, for once in her life were completely pure. She said those words from the bottom of her heart with worry and care for her brother. She just doesn't know how to say it like a normal person without creeping the other person out. It's just her way to express her love.

But damn..this girl really can't hold normal conversation, can she?

"By that she means...she loves you. When she loves, worries and cares for a person deeply she says stuff like that."

Great, first I was a closet monster, then a partner, then a personal chef, life coach, and now I'm also a translator.

I guess..Being with her means experiencing a plethora of different jobs?

Lily who was obviously flustered by how simply and differently he put her words, she looked away to hide away the way her cheeks were beating up and showing a pretty hue of red against her pale white skin. Soobin on the other hand smiled wider,"That I know."

That made Lily's cheeks grow hotter. She sprung up from the couch, resulting in the cushion that was on her lap to fall down the ground. She quickly fanned herself with both her hands, looking everywhere but at Soobin,"Is it just me or is it so hot in here? It's burning."

"It's just you,"Jungkook said, smiling cheekily.

"Shall I blast the air conditioner?"Doyoung asked, smirking. Poor guy doesn't get many chances to tease Lily, there's was no reason to miss this chance.

"No..I think I will have to go to the backyard to cool off,"Lily said and was about to take a step towards the backyard. Jungkook was about to stop her. But before anyone could do anything, Soobin got up from the couch and sprinted towards Lily and engulfed her in a tight hug. Both Jungkook and Doyoung widened their eyes at the suddenness of this action.

Lily froze completely, not moving, not talking, not doing anything. Soobin's smile had faltered as his eyes started to water up. He leaned down so he could bury his face in Lily's shoulder.

"Noona...I'm so happy..that you gave me the chance to talk to you. I...I thought I would never see you again!"Soobin said while trying to hold back his sobs,"I'm so sorry for everything. I love you. I thought I would never get to say it."

Lily was still frozen, unable to react. Lily's back was turned towards Jungkook so he couldn't see her face and what expression she had, well if she had any. It felt like an eternity of Soobin hugging onto Lily for dear life as if she would vanish into thin air if he lets go, Lily standing like a statue, Doyoung and Jungkook holding their breaths. Jungkook even contemplated breaking the hug seeing Lily so frozen. But eternity passed before Jungkook could go into action and Lily slowly raised her hand and slowly patted Soobin's back gently. So gently like he would break if she patted a bit harder.

"It's okay, Soobin-ah. I'm here,"Surprisingly her voice sounded warm. Just like it should sound while an elder sister is comforting her little brother. The change is so slight but Jungkook had no problem picking it up.

Hearing that Soobin completely broke down. He let out all the sobs he was holding back while hugging Lily tighter. Lily's hoodie was getting drenched, but she couldn't have cared less, she kept patting his back until he had no tears left in his system.

The scenery was so beautiful and rare Doyoung couldn't help clicking a few pictures in his phone. Even his eyes were tearing up. Why wouldn't they?

He went through so much with these two.

Soobin and Lily were now sitting in the backyard of Doyoung's house. Two chairs have been provided by Doyoung that they were both using to sit on. The situation has calmed down a bit. Soobin has stopped crying. They came outside to have some privacy, it was Doyoung's idea. But seems like he doesn't know what privacy means because Lily can still see him and Jungkook trying to spy on them from inside through her peripheral vision. When he first came in today, Lily couldn't properly look at him in the eye for long without looking away. Her heart was hurting, she felt like her whole world would collapse. But after the long hug, Soobin managed to break the thick ice and now Lily couldn't stop looking at him. He has grown up so well.

Lily even studied the small details she missed when she first saw him after so many years. His dimples have gotten deeper and way more adorable. His big, brown doe eyes sparkle when he smiles. He holds the entire universe in those eyes. His double eyelids cut off right at the end, just like their mother's. His oval shaped face, fairly sharp nose with a slightly rounded top everything just screamed 'handsome'. Lily swears she can stare at him all day and not get bored. She wants to take in as much as she can, she hasn't seen him for years after all.

"Noona, I'm pretty good looking, whatcha say?"Soobin asked, turning at her from the moon that he was staring at till now.

"Very,"Lily replied simply yet truthfully.

Soobin was totally not expecting her to reply so sincerely, so he just smiled shyly showing his bunny teeth.

"So..Umm..do your parents know you're here?"Lily asked in a low voice,"You didn't lie to them to come here, now did you?"

"Of course not, noona. What do you take me for?"Soobin asked. Lily noted how adorable he is even though he is angry. He pouted unknowingly while completing his statement,"They know, noona. They know I have been searching for you for years. They support me fully."

Lily nodded,"That's good?"She was a bit unsure as to what to say. She really wanted to know so much about him. About his family. About how he is doing, his hobbies, likes dislikes. Whether or not he gets nightmares about the past. And especially how much of this whole ordeal does his parents know. What's their stance on this whole thing. Are they providing Soobin enough support to get over all of that?

But Lily doesn't know if she should ask all that. She was absent from his life for so long. Does she even have the right to know all of that? She doesn't know what she is gonna do in the future about Soobin. She is still on the fence about being back in his life. She doesn't want to ruin the amazing life Soobin is having. This life is a million times better than the life she could've ever provided for him. She doesn't know how much she should tell Soobin and what to do honestly. Lily suddenly wonders if she should bring Jungkook here. Maybe he would be better at approaching Soobin than her?

Soobin chuckled as if he could read her inner conflict about everything,"Noona, stop walking around eggshells with me. I'm your brother."

Before Lily could say anything Soobin started,"I was adopted fairly fast. My parents gave me everything a child needed. I probably was a good kid for the most part after being adopted..but at night I used to cry telling mom about you, my sister, about the horrors you and our mother had to go through to protect me. I was only seven, so my adoptive mother...well it feels weird to say it..my mom..was shocked by everything I was saying. Mom and dad immediately took me to a child psychiatrist. The psychiatrist was horrified by the things I was saying. Police was informed. They started an investigation. But how much actual information can a seven year old give..right?"Soobin chuckled,"They couldn't find the place I was talking about. Well, seven year old me didn't know the address to that horrible place. The investigation soon went cold. But my psychiatrist and my parents believed everything I said. My parents know about all that I went through..well you went through. I didn't face most of the horrors thanks to you and mother protecting me. I kept going to the psychiatrist and soon I stopped having nightmares, stopped crying at night. But I never stopped trying to find you noona. My parents know that. They were ecstatic when I finally told that I found you. They even said if you ever feel comfortable they want to meet you."

Lily listened to all of it quietly. Her heart was brimming with gratefulness for Soobin's parents.

"Soobin-ah, why were you so adamant about finding me? You could've just moved on with your life. You should've just moved on with your life. How painful it must've been holding onto my memory...why did you have to do all that?"

"Because you're my family, noona. You're the reason I'm alive. What more reason might you need?"

Lily shook her head, then sighed,"Anyways, thanks for growing up so well. Not giving into anything bad....wait a damn minute. I forgot to ask you about Jungkook. I heard he tried to tame you into sins."

Soobin nodded,"Years ago."

"And you didn't give in? That's a good boy. Thank you for not giving in and being such a good boy and an angel. Just like mother."

Lily whispered the last part but Soobin could hear it. He smiled,"Of course, I wouldn't. What kind of brother I would be if I didn't listen to the last thing my sister asked me to do? Woah..I still remember the night you left me off at the adoption center and said 'Soobin-ah, promise me you would be a good person just like our mother. Never hurt anyone else. If you ever do something bad, I'm never gonna come back'. Woah...you looked so cool back then. How can an twelve year old be so cool?"

Lily shook her heads and looked right at his eyes,"Soobin-ah, listen. You weren't a good boy just because I asked you to. Even if I didn't say any of that, you'd still be like this. You know why? Because you are good from the core of your heart. Just like mother. Everyone can tell and you yourself won't be able to deny that. Do you really think you can hurt anyone purposefully without going out of your way to prove a point?"

Soobim stayed quiet at that.

"Soobin-ah, on the other hand..I'm not a good person. I'm rotten from the core of my heart and soul. That monster had managed to create a monster just like him. If not worse."

Soobin had no problem understanding whom she meant by 'monster'. Who else can it be but their father?

Lily continued,"Do you know why I left you at the orphanage? Of course because I wanted you to have a good life that you deserved but also because the path I chose for myself is full of darkness, blood, cries and pain. You wouldn't be able to survive here no matter how much you tried to tough it out for me. You would be stuck in a huge cycle of nightmare. But for me? I honestly feel at home. In this darkness. Why? Because I'm just like him."

Soobin sighed,"Is this your elaborate way of trying to get me to leave?"

"No, Soobin. All I'm saying is, my world is dangerous. The more you get involved with me, the more danger you would be subjected to. Do you even know what my goal in life is? Do you know what my profession is?.."

"Listen noona. I am an adult. I can take my own decisions now. And honestly now that we are having this talk...let me make one thing clear. You aren't getting rid of me easily,"Soobin said with his adorable serious face. He was frowning while trying to appear intimidating but all he looked like was an upset bunny whose carrot has been taken away from him.

Lily knows it would be the worst moment to break into a smile but damn was he making it hard.

"Soobin-ah.."

"I don't care what your goal is. I don't care what you do for a profession because Dongyoung hyung refuses to tell me, but seeing that you have a bond with Jungkook hyung I can guess it is not something good. Don't tell me as I don't care. All I care about is you being alive and breathing and present in my life so I can at least see your face once in awhile. I won't even be clingy. Is that too much too ask for? Is wanting to see my sister's face once every blue moon a privilege?"

Lily was in trouble. Big trouble. Soobin was huffing angrily and looking away. Well..the fact that he was looking away now was great because Lily just couldn't take this childish rant seriously. The rant coming from him looking like an upset bunny also didn't help. Lily's face broke her emotionless expression and displayed a smile which thankfully Soobin didn't see.

Her smile was long gone when he turned around, visibly a bit calmer,"So..I'm not asking for much, noona. I'm not trying to change you like Dongyoung hyung hopes for me to. For once let me be selfish and have my sister with me. Please."

"Soobin if you put it like that I can't.."

"I'm not even gonna ask you about your job!"

"Soobin-ah.."

Soobin narrowed his eyes,"You're so unbelievably mean."

That did critical damage. Lily again broke into a fond smile and that didn't go unnoticed by Soobin.

"See? You smiled, smiling means yes. Oh my God you said yes."

Lily's smile dropped,"Hey wait! No.."

That was too late because Soobin had gotten up and started rejoicing,"Now you can't take your yes back."

"Soobin.."

"Yay!"

"Oh my Gosh, will you let me.."Lily could see Jungkook and Doyoung curiously glance and whisper to each other from her peripheral vision. She is already in deep shit and the last thing she wants is those two to blow this out of proportion and start dancing in victory thinking they reigned victorious in their plan. She has to do some damage control. She held Soobin's forearm and pulled him back into the chair as gently as she could,"Yes, for now sit. I get it. Calm down."

"Yeah. But you can't take back your yes."

"Listen. I didn't even say yes."

Soobin narrowed his eyes,"Yes you did and what I said, goes. Oh, you have no idea how stubborn I can be. Don't try me."

There it was, another urge to smile. Lily looked away, defeated. Meeting Soobin was such a bad idea. And what was worse is that he still seems to have grown stubbornness. And she really doesn't have the heart to argue with him any further. She was emotionally kind of confused and exhausted.

"So.."Soobin broke the silence.

"Hmm?"

"Are you free next Saturday?"

"Why?"Lily turned to him and immediately regretted saying that word. She should've just said no. Now she is gonna get some unnecessary information and that is gonna screw with her brain and create a whole new problem. She would start wondering whether or not she should go to whatever he is trying to invite her to, when in reality she definitely shouldn't go there.

"Our college has an event that day. Our band is performing on stage. So I was wondering..if you could come. I wanted to kinda..brag about..how cool I am on stage."

"Oh."

Soobin smiled hopefully,"So would you come?"

"I will think about it."

Lily once again regretted saying that. She should've said no. Why did she raise his hopes up? Now he looks so happy and hopeful. How would she be able to break his heart and say no the next time?

"Dinner's ready!!"Doyoung shouted from the inside,"Come on in!"

Soobin smiled and got up, offering his hand for her to hold and get up. She took it, before she could even think. Why does she feel like her heart is making all the decisions when her head should be the one?

"Let's go, noona. I'm hungry!"

Seeing his bright smile, holding his warm, soft hands Lily thought about the only one thing.

Damn..having a sibling suddenly appear really means having a lot of complex emotions, unwanted decisions and.......warmth?
