Lily was on a mission.

And she was determined to fulfill it.

Her sole mission these days seems to be proving to Jungkook that she has not a single bit of humanity left in her system, that she is the worst person alive. Her murders these days seemed to be way more brutal, violent, savage and bloody. She was acting more and more crazy. She even started scaring random people at night by walking around with her bloody knife, with blood dripping down the knife for literally no reason. And Jungkook had to watch all of it. Because she is his partner after all. After every crazy ass shit she does, she looks at Jungkook and smirks, observing his expression, his disappointment, his annoyance. She gets some sort of weird kick from it that Jungkook fails to understand. Doyoung was also done with her behavior. But was there ever anything anyone could do to stop Lily from whatever she wanted to do?

Umm no.

But at least Jungkook was getting hella powerful. He doesn't even know whether he likes it or not these days.

"Don't you just love when blood oozes out of their necks.."

"Lily, Stop. You know what? I get it. You can stop your nonsense now. I get it," Jungkook said, frustrated as he kept on walking by Lily's side in a lonely street at two in the morning. They were returning home from their latest mission.

"What do you get?"Lily asked, pretending to be very innocent and that got on Jungkook's nerves even more. He took a deep breath. He absolutely hates this.

"I get it, you're not a good person,"Jungkook said that lie through his gritted teeth,"You can stop all of this shit now. You don't need to go out of your way to prove that you're batshit crazy. We get it."

Lily smirked,"Good. But I not trying to prove anything to anyone."

Lie.

"I'm just trying to have fun,"Lily finished.

"Yeah yeah, sure,"Jungkook said.

"Ah! I need a long shower,"Lily said while throwing her hands up and stretching her hands while walking.

Jungkook didn't say anything, just walked beside her. Why was she doing this? How can he stop her from being like this? Jungkook thinks she is just torturing herself in the process.

"You're awfully quiet today, Jungkook,"Lily commented while shoving her hands in her pockets.

"What can I say? Jungkook was too stunned to speak by Lily's behavior,"Jungkook's use of a viral meme made Lily smirk.

"Uh Huh?"Lily asked,"Seems like someone is too sad that they were proven wrong."

Jungkook didn't reply to that to entertain Lily any further. He really wasn't having it tonight. They didn't say much the whole way. Jungkook was deep in thought while Lily didn't mind the silence too much.

As soon as they walked in their apartment Lily tried to walk into the bathroom to have a long shower after a very long day, but Jungkook grabbed her hand and stopped her. She turned to him and raised her brow,"What?"

"Wait here,"Jungkook said pointing at the couch and went in the Lily's room.

Lily sighed and screamed knowing what is coming,"Look if you're trying to lecture me on my latest endeavors, suck it up. I'm not in the mood for any of your lectures or anything." Lily said that but she sat on the couch anyway, waiting for Jungkook while tapping her feet.

Jungkook soon came out with something in his hand. Lily was confused to see the first aid box in his hand. Jungkook sat beside her on the couch, grabbed her right hand and pulled her sleeve up revealing a cut she got earlier tonight while she was on her mission. Lily didn't even notice it, she was used to having cuts, scars everywhere.

"I know that you want to prove a point, but do you need to go so far to hurt yourself in the process to show some sick ass shenanigans?"Jungkook's said in a very disapproving voice while getting an ointment out.

"Hey, it's nothing.."Lily was about to pull her hand back and trying to put her sleeve down.

Jungkook glared at her and said in a deep raspy voice,"Get your hand back here, Ms Lilith."

Lily sighed but do what he told,"Fine, here you go. But just so you know, this cut ain't shit.."

"Can you please just shut up?"Jungkook almost pleaded, he already had enough of her shenanigans today.

Lily smirked but let him do whatever he wanted. The ointment he was putting on must've stung but she didn't react much to it.

"How did you see me get the cut anyway? Even I didn't notice it,"Lily said.

"How would you? You were having too much fun with the fancy knife trick you were doing,"Jungkook rolled his eyes and then concentrated on putting bandage on her arm.

Lily once again smirked.

"It's my fault, I should've stopped you from getting hurt as your partner, but I was too stunned by your crap to do something..I'm sorry. It won't happen again,"Jungkook said.

"Hey, it's okay.."

Jungkook went on a little rant,"I've been living with you for long enough. I really thought I had lost the ability of getting shocked. But you do something weirder than the previous day every damn day. I don't honestly know how much more I can bear. Curse the day I became your partner. This shit isn't good for my mental health. Done."

Jungkook had finished dressing her wounds and putting a band aid on her. Jungkook is sure Lily was secretly enjoying his little rant and felt bad that it was over.

"Oh,"Lily said,"I will go and take a shower now.."Lily got up but once again was pushed down to sit on the sofa.

Lily looked at Jungkook. Jungkook was staring at her arm while holding it. Pushing her down and talking to her wasn't planned. He did that unknowingly.

"What?"Lily asked.

"Lily-ah.."Jungkook called while slowly looking up at her eyes. He made her sit down, he might as well let it out.

"Is there anything you want to say?"

Jungkook sighed, looking at her eyes,"Lily-ah, why do I feel like you are not doing all this for fun or to prove it to me that you're not a good person?"

"Huh?"

"Why do I feel like you're doing it more to prove to yourself?"

Lily's face hardened, jaw clenched. Jungkook knows he's right about this. This further proves it.

"You're wrong, Jungkook..."

"Lily-ah, Stop is. Stop overdoing it,"Jungkook said from the bottom of his heart, out of pure concern and sincerity for the girl sitting in front of him,"You are just hurting yourself more than anyone else. You are not your dad, Lily. You're you."

"Jungkook, don't say anything more.."

"Lily, by doing this you are just hurting yourself both physically and emotionally. And as your partner I don't want that,"Jungkook smiled looking at the girl in front of him who felt like she was made from a block of unbreakable ice.

Lily sighed,"Jungkook.."

She was about to start. She is gonna start the rant about how much he doesn't know her, how much he is wrong and how much she loves doing what she does and how much she loved what she did today. But Jungkook is sure that none of that is true. He didn't even want to hear any of it tonight.

He grazed his thumb over her wounded hand that he was still holding, making her stop talking and said with a smile.

"Go take a shower. I will make something to eat. You must be hungry."

As the hot water hitting Lily's bare body, she felt all the exhaustion go away from the long day of work. Well..at least physical exhaustion went away. But her mental exhaustion was nowhere near gone. Lily felt drained, confused, helpless. She doesn't know what is happening to her. She feels like she is changing drastically. She didn't ever do things like what she did about Gaeul. Even she doesn't know why she was being so generous that day, why that little kid's scars affected her so much. She thought she was over those feelings. She thought she would never ever feel something like that ever again. But what is happening to her? Jungkook is right, she probably is going around being more psychopathic to her victims because she wanted to prove to herself more than anyone that she was still the Lilith that goes around murdering people without batting an eye and not a social worker that helps children.

And the biggest problem in the world is Jungkook. The fact that he seems to know what she is feeling without showing or changing her expression, is so beyond infuriating. He knows so much about her by observing her, she hates it. She tries so hard to prove all of his predictions about her wrong, but why is he so adamant about them?

Wouldn't it be better for him and his means if she has no humanity, is brutal, the worst person ever? Why is he so set on changing that? Is he stupid?

And the worst part of all of this is she is actually changing slightly. She never depended on anyone previously. But nowadays she seemed to be dependent on Jungkook. Being with him miraculously is calming. The way he looked in her eyes few minutes ago was calming, when he held her hand and stroke her hand gently with a thumb it was absolutely soothing. Why was this happening? What is this? Is Jungkook putting a spell on her?

Bingo.

That's definitely it. He definitely is putting a spell on her. He is a devil after all. How else could anyone explain the changes of feelings and behaviors in THE Lilith?

Right?

Lily punched the shower wall in anger because that also doesn't make any sense. What would he get out of putting this weird spell on Lily? But for now she is gonna believe it and confront Jungkook about it as soon as she gets out from the shower. She at least needs to do something keep herself sane.

After shower Lily quickly dressed up and went out to confront the devil in her house.

"You fucker, you put a weird spell on me, didn't yo.."

As soon as Lily stepped in the living room she was greeted with a very appetizing and amazing smell of chappaguri and a very excited looking Jungkook who had the pot and plates set up, ready to indulge in the deliciousness.

"Hey, I got the food ready. I fried the eggs just as you like them!"Jungkook excitedly said as if the very serious conversation they had before she went to shower was non existent.

Lily frowned and held her ground,"Listen, no. Firstly I'm not even hungry, secondly we need to talk..and no one eats ramen at two in the morning.."

Jungkook also frowned,"Don't even pretend like you aren't hungry as fuck because I know damn well that you are."

"No, I'm not,"Before Lily could finish her stomach grumbled very loud and clear embarrassing the shit out of her in front of Jungkook.

A very obvious smirk of victory showed up on Jungkook's face showing parts of his bunny teeth,"See? Now come and eat, whatever you had to talk about, we will talk after eating. Come."

Lily sighed and figured that it would be the best if she would just go and eat instead of her stomach embarrassing herself once again. She quietly came and sat beside Jungkook. He smiled and served her the food and also placed her favorite side dishes on her bowl. This is something he does that she hates, these again brings up those weird feelings. Why does she even let him do that?

In the middle of the small feast Jungkook turned on the tv, putting one of his favorite survival shows on screen that he likes to watch. Lily always watches it with him and intentionally supports the other team to try and annoy him by cheering the opposite team and asking weird questions during intense moments. Jungkook gets really angry. She likes to see it. Why does he even watch that with her?

They somehow got so engrossed in the show and eating, they had both forgotten about their discussion they had before Lily's shower and Lily had totally forgotten that she was about to confront him.

This is what she hates.

Eating with him, watching television with him, spending time with him doing absolute unnecessary stuff always made her forget about everything that she deems important.

Always.

Doyoung smiled seeing Gaeul and Miko playing in the lawn outside. The kitten was given the name Miko by Doyoung. Gaeul seemed to like that name and thanked Doyoung as because of him the cat finally had a name. They are currently playing with a woolen ball in the lawn. Both are looking adorable.

Doyoung was watching them from the living room couch. It's been some time since Gaeul and Miko started living here. Lily had asked Doyoung to forge some papers and find a good foster or adoption home for Gaeul. Doyoung told Lily that he would do so but he is taking his sweet time doing it. Normally doing it wouldn't take long for Doyoung, he has solution to everything but now, he is having second thoughts about letting Gaeul go.

He likes Gaeul and Miko. They have formed an attachment. Doyoung likes that his house isn't so cold and lonely anymore. He secretly is thinking of keeping Gaeul and Miko with him, as his family. Of course he also is partial to Gaeul because looking at Gaeul reminds Doyoung of that boy in the picture, his sweet memories of the past. Gaeul's behavior is also similar to that boy. Always thankful, respectful, smiley and bright in no matter what situation.

Of course, he hasn't told Lily what he is thinking, she might go insane. As she herself doesn't know why she did what she did about Gaeul, she probably wants him out of her sight as soon as possible. But Doyoung can seek Jungkook's help to get Lily on board about this. She weirdly seems to sometimes listen to him. That's good. Jungkook is also fond of Gaeul so, Doyoung is pretty certain Jungkook would love the idea of keeping Gaeul close. Jungkook has been coming over a few times, to hang out with Gaeul and Miko. Doyoung allowed him to come, the more people the less lonely this huge house is.

Wait 'people'?

Jungkook isn't a part of 'people', he's a demon.

Well..the point still stands.

Doyoung's random train of thoughts came to an end when Gaeul waved at him from outside, Doyoung waved back smiling.

After Gaeul had gone back to playing, Doyoung tried to decide what he should next. He doesn't have work today, he is bored. Should he already start preparing for dinner? But there's no point of doing that so early.

Doyoung decided to flip the tv on to pass some time. He never really enjoys watching tv that much but he decided to give it a try anyway.

Nothing was that interesting to Doyoung on the television. He was over the cheesy kdrama, hopeless romantic phase he was in a few years back. He used to believe in love at first sight and in fate. He remembers how unamused Lily was by his obsession with romance. Then he had a big sports phase, where he used to watch every sport channel there is, rooting for his favorite teams, buying merchandise and what not. But that phase is also long gone. He doesn't find anything interesting these days. Nothing stuck with him for long. So he flipped through those channels fairly quickly.

National geography held his attention for sometime but he also got bored of that pretty soon. Really, for how long can you watch an ugly looking crocodile moving with its big ass body?

As he flipped through the national geography the tv landed on the news channel. Doyoung was about to change the channel because he isn't interested in news, he can just check the news on his phone. No point of listening to a monotone sounding lady reciting news headlines. But when he heard a familiar name, he couldn't just change the channel.

"Nam Ilhoon, appointed as the commissioner general of the National Police Agency."

On the screen showed a picture of Nam Ilhoon with a big smile on his face.

Doyoung snorted seeing that. Normally how would you feel seeing the man that could've saved your life during your childhood but chose some amount petty money instead? How would you feel knowing the man that whom doing his job morally would've given you a normal life, is achieving all his dreams? How would you feel knowing the new commissioner general of your country is corrupt as fuck and ruined not only your but also a lot of people's lives?

Doyoung doesn't know what anyone else would feel. But he felt an intense sense of anticipation and happiness.

No, not because of that Ilhoon guy becoming the commissioner, no.

But because he would get just what he deserves after all these years. Doyoung could finally execute his plans about this guy. He could finally strip Ilhoon down from the highest of his career and make him a laughing stock in front of the entire country. After stripping him down...he would get the rest of his punishment.

Well, Lily would give it to him. The punishment, for not helping little Doyoung and Lily. For letting their life be ruined. Taking a part of them being like this. Lily being like this.

Doyoung isn't normally a violent person. He doesn't necessarily enjoy other people's pain. He never enjoyed that. It was always Lily.

But for this Ilhoon guy...he would love every second of it.

Doyoung's eyes had turned dark as he kept watching Nam Yihyun's smiley face on his screen. His smile seemed so genuine, so happy to be on that position, not knowing what is coming for him.

Doyoung was digging hole into the screen with his eyes but a ring on his phone made him turn away finally and look at the caller ID. Doyoung smiled seeing the caller's name. He was just about to call her to deliver her the food news anyway.

"Hello, Lil.."

"Did you see the news?"Came her icy voice.

Doyoung smirked,"Sure did."

He could almost sense Lily's smirk on the other side of the phone,"It's finally time. Let's get to work."

"We definitely should. I will get on it first."

Lily's sinister chuckle could be heard on the other side. He just knows she is just as excited as he is. Of course, they had been waiting so long for this.

So long to ruin Nam Ilhoon and watch him suffer as he takes his last breath.

Doyoung also burst into a manic chuckle, following his best friend.

This goes to show that, Lily and Doyoung were truly a match made in hell.
